He is sleeping ATM

My dad has just turned up so will talk to him...

LaTrucha · 20/04/2009 18:20

Sorry Simpson. Can he have a few days off work? Will that help?

JustKeepSwimming · 20/04/2009 18:26

I see from earlier he's got 3 days off so that's good.

Hope your dad can help.

Sorry you're going through this, again.

simpson · 20/04/2009 18:41

Yes he has 3 days off but TBH I would rather he wasn't around but such is life!!

JustKeepSwimming · 20/04/2009 18:45

LOL Simps - I've just had Dh at home for the best part of 2 weeks (minus the trip to my parents) and he was really getting under my feet by the end!
even if i love him dearly and he does help with the boys lots, he spoils my routines and 'puts things places' they shouldn't be , grr...

Takes me a good few days to straighten things out.

Have to say i am looking forward BIG TIME to having the bed to myself tonight

mixedmamameansbusiness · 20/04/2009 19:16

simps - hope u and dh are ok.

lovely day today with RL friend. S is becoming incredibly naughty now though not listening and crossed the road TWICE without holding my hand and once without even waiting. He got a smacked bum, I am calm and dont do it often but walking out into the road is a definite NO for me.

DH ad kids at ILS so wentfor a run... ridiculously bad performance but hopefully better next time.

simpson · 20/04/2009 19:35

Hi all

Thanks for chat madmouse

Both Dcs are in bed (as is DH) my dad has popped out for a takeaway, bless him.

I am also having a glass of the red stuff, feel like I deserve it!!

Mixed mama - I know what you mean about crossing the road. Its non negotiable for DS to hold hand/buggy.

JKS - if I had D H around for 2wks think I would end up committing GBH!!

LaTrucha · 20/04/2009 22:26

Hope you're having a relaxing evening, Simpson.

JustKeepSwimming · 21/04/2009 00:17

testing - ignore me

JustKeepSwimming · 21/04/2009 00:28

Just changing passwords as look here
for my latest excitement....

changing all passwords i can think of in case they have a nose on my laptop - wouldn't want someone posting on here trolling and upsetting everyone, lol.

was freaked but calm now.

simpson · 21/04/2009 00:31

JKS - just posted on your other thread...

Are you ok??

JustKeepSwimming · 21/04/2009 00:40

Fine, just off to bed to try and get some sleep

will tell all tomorrow.

JustBeenBurgled · 21/04/2009 08:07

Morning all.

Am fine here, just trying new name for size

(couldn't think of a JustK-S- that would work!)

mixedmamameansbusiness · 21/04/2009 08:12

madmouse · 21/04/2009 09:09

simpson · 21/04/2009 10:41

JKS - hoping you are ok today...

Gingeme · 21/04/2009 14:43

OMG! JKS its scary stuff isn;t it? Hope your ok today. I rememeber being burgled when I lived with my parents. They reckon it was kids because they had got in through a small back window. They new we had a dog too because she was in the garden with a nice juicy bone while they were doing the house over I didn't sleep for about a week. DH reckons they'll catch your burgler because if theyre local and probably druggies they'll try to sell the laptops as quick as possible. Finger crossed
Had our first morning back at playgroup today. The boys must have realy missed it they had great fun.
Going to a little tea party this afternoon. My RL friends dd is 2 today

LuckySalem · 21/04/2009 14:47

Oh JKS - Hope your ok today. I got burgled on my birthday 2 years ago and I know how horrid it is (although I wasn't in at the time)

simpson · 21/04/2009 17:30

Hi all

Lovely weather here

Lucky - did you get paddling pool out?

Madmouse - cheers for chat last night

JKS - hope you are ok,must have been a dreadful shock

Gingeme - how did the party go?

LaT - hope you are ok today...

Well, things are a bit tense here TBH and I have major decisions to make, me thinks!!

But TBH will wait till my mum is back from Oz on Fri and speak to her I think...

simpson · 21/04/2009 17:38

Also forgot to say where has Filly and Mrs Mcjnr got to???

LaTrucha · 21/04/2009 17:56

i was thinking that too

so sorry jkS. same thing happened to me. was woken by the sound of computer leads being dragged accross a table. scary. sorry it happened to you.

JustBeenBurgled · 21/04/2009 18:01

Hey all - i'm fine.

My parents are freaked - think i made my mum cry

My PIL - who i expected to freak - seemed pretty calm & casual so am expecting them to ring back in shock later!

My dad has already offered to pay for a new laptop which is very sweet. Am waiting a bit though as the police said they might get dumped quickly or if they attempt to sell them to a second hand shop the shopkeepers will dob them in as the Macbook esp is too new for anyone to be trying to flog legally.

Once they realise that the old Dell won't even turn on without the power cable i'm sure they'll chuck it in disgust - and bet it weighed a ton to run away with!

hey ho, these things happen, we have to be glad it wasn't worse and it may teach us some security lessons.....

(still scary when i think about that actual moment of realising someone was in the house!)

right, am in dh's study and boys have just invaded so best go!

we are meant to be watching Madagascar....

LuckySalem · 21/04/2009 19:05

Glad you're ok JKS.
Simps - no didn't get pool out, too cold here with the wind.
Where is filly and MrsMc? Been missing for a while now.

We have news DD has a tooth!! The VERY tip of her bottom right middle tooth is out.

simpson · 21/04/2009 19:41

Woo hoo for A's first tooth

Gingeme · 21/04/2009 20:36

Yay lucky first tooth
Simpson the tea party was fun thanks. Funny isn't it how other kids toys seem so much more exciting?
Glad your ok JKS. Yes it is hard to belive someone else has been in your house going through your thigs without your knowledge
How are you doing madmouse?
MrsMcJnr hasn't been on face book lately either. Wonder if she is away.
Well DH and I are going to watch Hancock at 9pm.
Have a good night all xx
