JKS - X post!!

I have Dcs in the same room in a couple of wks and do think they will be up to similar antics

JustKeepSwimming · 19/04/2009 20:59

Hi lily - x-posted with you

Simps - it's kind of cute but annoying when you want them to go to sleep.
luckily H will resettle and go to sleep no probs if we take T out for a quiet moment elsewhere.
it's T that's the problem atm. he really doesn't want to go to sleep/bed.

maybe because daddy has been home lots recently it's thrown him off routine.
Bring on tomorrow/next week

LaTrucha · 19/04/2009 21:09

Sometimes I look at Sabela and think how grown up she is. Then she falls asleep in my arms, and she's my little baby again

JustKeepSwimming · 19/04/2009 21:10

That's so true LaT

simpson · 19/04/2009 21:14

LaT - I know what you mean!! M seems so grown up as she can tell me what she wants now (some of the time!!)

She says "fruit pot" when hungry and "bo bo" (bottle) when thirsty.

But when she snuggles up with head on my shoulder, she is still a baby iyswim.

Having said that both DCs will be my babies when they are 30

Lilyloo · 19/04/2009 21:14

Lat M will always be my baby

LuckySalem · 19/04/2009 21:17

Yep A is my baby although you're right she is really looking so mature today esp.

She's been wearing her Everton kit and cheering at the match (poor ol' DP nearly had a breakdown during the match - he couldn't cope with the suspense)

She's so annoying though as well, just wingey and expects you to do EVERYTHING for her. She threw Winnie (her cuddle toy) on th floor about an inch in front of her feet and then screamed at me to pick it up again!! lol

simpson · 19/04/2009 21:24

Lucky - M is obsessed with metal tea spoons

Either she chews them or bangs them on things or deliberately drops them to hear noise and sometimes she drops it and can't be bothered to pick it up again so has hissy fit wanting me to do it for her!!

Both DCs (and me) wore Ipswich Town tops today

LuckySalem · 19/04/2009 21:28

haha A just insists we do it all for her - I think she's lazy

It was a family affair here with the football kits too.

LaTrucha · 19/04/2009 21:39

Here too! Even if you put two things on her tray you know she will want she throws the second one off while she looks at the first.

Definitely always my baby too.

simpson · 19/04/2009 21:40

great day on the footie front for the blue teams

Normally M wants what ever J has. She even wanted his bike earlier today

But she is like me, if she can't work out how to do something she gives up pretty early on But has hissy fit in the process!!

LuckySalem · 19/04/2009 21:41

LOL - yeh i'm like that. If I cant do its either stupid or can't be done

simpson · 19/04/2009 21:43

Yep me too

J takes after DH and is very laid back (normally although been Satan child the last few days!!)

LaTrucha · 19/04/2009 22:06

Here too.

I tried to teach Sabela to pull herself up on the cot bars. She tried it once. Clearly can't be done

When is that child going to start moving herself. I'm getting a bad back from walking her.

simpson · 19/04/2009 22:11

M will now pull herself up to standing on everything and you hear her say "standing" when ever she does it!!

But she won't move anywhere!!

She hasn't realised she can cruise along furniture etc..so just stands still the whole time

LaTrucha · 19/04/2009 22:44

Sabela's cruising like crazy. she went the whole length of the sofa and round the corner to the dorr and stood there at arms length to the sofa pointing out of the door. But she will not pull herself up. We should get them together!

simpson · 19/04/2009 22:47

LOL

The two of them can cause mayhem together!!

Morning ladies....

Am at home this week to do nursery settling, but it is teacher training day so am at home. We are meeting a RL friend later who has a 4 month old... i just know that I am going to have a broody day today. Very excited tho.

Currently DS1 has decided that he wont get dressed even tho i have brought his clothes to the living room so he can still watch Cbeebies ....has sai he will go out in PJs.

Sleeping still going along nicely here... seem to have settled in between 7.30-8.00 which is really late in comparison to most on here, but that suits us fairly well and it was 9.00 or even later before and normally in the living room with us, now S gets into his bed and E sits on my lap whilst we have a story and then turnoff lights and as soon as I leave they are fine. I do hear DS1 singing if DS2 is crying a little, normally the hello song they sng at nursery.

Anyay must get on and do some cleaning up before we go out. Weather is looking good so enjoy thesunshine.

simpson · 20/04/2009 12:07

Hi all

J bag at school today

DH not too good today. Think it is tiredness as he hasn't been sleeping all that well and has done quite a bit of overtime.

He is at work today then has 3 days off to recharge his batteries thank God...

Both Dcs stuffing their face eating lunch then after that J goes to school, then I have to do a boring food shop!!

More later....

Gingeme · 20/04/2009 12:48

Wow you ladies sure can chat
Oh I'm all for routine as far as sleep is concerned. They definately sleep better the more they do in the day too. I was saying to DH this morning I hope they nap better in the day when playgroups start this week. Its been real hit and miss during the hols
Had sort through my many bags of clothes today for t shirts for ds4 and ds5. I know it will probably snow or something next week but it is always lovely to look at stuff their brother wore before them
George had a bit of a wakey crying moment last night about 9pm. Wouldn't settle with his usual bottle. Didn't help DH came in for work just at that time too. I sat with him, George not DH, in the front room and watched babytv for about 15 mins then he settled back down thank goodness. All slept till about 7.30ish.
Well my Dad will be here soon. Both boys sleeping at last.
See you all later xx

JustKeepSwimming · 20/04/2009 13:16

Rubbish night last night, T woke at 2, lost his pillow again
Dh resettled him and the boys didn't get up till nearly 7.30
but...dh couldn't get back to sleep and his tossing & turning kept waking me up and it takes me ages to go back to sleep anyway. got really angry with him, he eventually went downstairs at 4am. but was moving around doing stuff so i was still disturbed
then he rushed in at 7, when i was actually asleep as he thought he'd heard the boys.
so i am a zombie today

went into work but no-one else is in today so left early to work from home, though i am over my hours at the mo so may try a nap in a minute.
boys at nursery till 5, yey.
and pre-school starts again tomorrow, double yey!
T does Tues & Wed atm, but planning to add Thurs too. H just sleeps the 9-12 session anyway so it feels like i'm on my own

hope everyone's ok, have been reading but got left behind with all the chattiness yesterday

simpson · 20/04/2009 17:15

madmouse - if you are around can you FB me??

Having a bit of a crisis here

simpson · 20/04/2009 17:52

JKS - sorry missed your message, was bathing DCs...

Things gone a bit tits up with DH again

JustKeepSwimming · 20/04/2009 18:11

Oh dear

He must learn not to wear himself out, but that's no good for now.
Can he go to bed for a bit/hide away/rest?
