More pics on FB of M taken today

Gingeme · 18/04/2009 15:54

Oh dear Simpson good luck at the resteraunt.
We went to Tesco this morning and I had Edward and George in the same trolley. A woman at the magazine aisle said 'wow don't they look alike?' I smiled waiting for 'are they twins?' so she just said 'oh theyre lovely'
Mind you they are both in size 5 nappies now.
Sorry to hear about all the bad nights last night. I didn't hear the boys till abour 8am today mind you I did hear my upstairs neighbours having sex last night . Put me right off my book I can tell ya
I made the silly mistake of wearing long ear rings today. George has done nothing but tag at them all day.
Well thats about it from me.

simpson · 18/04/2009 18:22

DD is in the land of Nod

Another day with no day time nap

just about to put her in cot after bottle and she does another poo

J been truly awful today. He seems to get so angry and all this rage comes out of him and he just lies on floor screaming till he is nearly sick...

He is not far off bedtime either...

Then a large glass of red for me and the rest of last nights chinese takeaway

Can't wait!!

LaTrucha · 18/04/2009 18:32

Well, Sabela conked out at half past five today. I'm going to get her up or she'll want to start the day at 1am. God knows what time she'll go to bed though!

Gingeme · 18/04/2009 19:49

George didn't have a nap today either and has just spent the day falling over the floor he's so into climbing now too. Scarily so. He was on the coffee table again so I moved it awat from under the tv so he climbed on the back of the pc chair while David was on the pc and fell off that. Climbed on the small chest of drawers in their room and fell off that twice! didn't learn. I said to DH I'm suprised we havn't ended up in casualty today.
All in bed asleep now thank goodness.
Hope you all have good nights xx

simpson · 18/04/2009 20:21

Gingeme - surprised you haven't had a heart attack with George's antics!!

M getting very good at pulling herself up to standing and will hang off things with one hand but hasn't twigged that she can move yet!!

JustKeepSwimming · 18/04/2009 20:57

Evening all

G - George is such a climber! T was the same and H is learning. He climbs on the stool/pouffe thing i have in front of the tv (supposedly to stop them getting too close to it all the time) and sits on it centimetres away from the screen!!

Been busy, got PIL here, stayed up drinking red wine on Thurs night, was hungover Fri
then had friend's 40th fri night, drinking white wine
not too hungover today but tired after 2 late nights in a row
Went out to the football with dh earlier, was fun even if we lost!
going to pop into Primark tomorrow - friend said they have t-shirts & shorts for £1, could be good for summer....

hoping for more sunshine tomorrow and maybe try for a bbq

anyway, not mush else going on, so will stop waffling!

Gingeme · 18/04/2009 21:19

Jks lol @ not mush going on !

simpson · 18/04/2009 21:52

Its my birthday next week and have decided to ask DH to buy me a slow cooker...

Are they really worth buying?

LaTrucha · 18/04/2009 22:25

My MIL swears by them I want one now. They do seem to make the gravy stews and such like super delicious. And the time-saving of course. Madhur Jaffery says they're great for cooking curry properly without all the time.

I am in a birthday present dilemma too which Simspon has reminded me of. It's not until July but i really want a new iron, even though I hate ironing. I will hate it less with steam! But don't you think it's sad to ask for such domestic tools as present. Shouldn't we be getting champagne and roses not pressure cookers and steam irons!?

madmouse · 18/04/2009 22:45

dh refuses to buy me anything like that for my birthday, was a battle to allow me to have a sat-nav as a present, but then he is a romantic sod and i am very pragmatic.

JustKeepSwimming · 19/04/2009 07:17

G- brain is mush evidently

I would like a slow cooker too, i think. would it just become another gadget that ends up in a cupboard (sandwich toaster, bread maker, etc. to name a few)?

T up at 4am 'lost his pillow'
then both of them up at 7.

which all sounds good but T is not going to sleep until nearly 8 every night which is driving me a tad crazy.

LaT - the co-sleeping sounds so cute (tried an hour or so with H last week and he just beat me up, lol. maybe girls are better at sharing...)

madmouse · 19/04/2009 09:21

JKS good morning! Can you tie T's pillow to the bed?

Not sure about a slow cooker. For me my heavy cast iron casserole pan (Le Creuset - French for bloody expensive in a low oven does all i need.

I have friends who rave about it but i don't find the idea of food sitting in a pan simmering away all day terribly attractive!

Well dh left for the 9am service at 8.58 good thing he's not leading this morning. Nathan and I will follow at 10.15 for the 11am service (half an hour's walk - dh has the car after ten mile men's walk yesterday he is feeling his age lol)

Have a good Sunday xx

simpson · 19/04/2009 10:44

Hi all

LOL at tying pillow to bed

Have to say M has been much better at night the last couple of days. Ever since no nap in the day. She must be too tired!!

but next week we have to put both Dcs in J's room to make way for the MIL visit

Found a slow cooker in tesco Direct half price so have ordered it and it will be here tomorrow

Was totally when DH said he didn't want to buy it for my birthday but wanted to get treat rather than a necessity iyswim.

Off for quick bath before DH leaves for work!!

simpson · 19/04/2009 10:50

Forgot to say to ange "come on Town!!"

Gingeme · 19/04/2009 14:27

I hate it when mt birthday comes up as my DH just hasn't got a clue . Sometimes wish he would get me an appliance atkeast I know I could use it. Last year he bought me a ladt shave. Kept saying ' oh you'll love it, you've always wanted one, you keep saying you want one' etc etc seemed to forget he bought me one the year before
Ds3 found Jesus this morning ! We went to a friends babys christening last Sunday and they had an Easter egg hunt after and a reception. David was going on about being in the church of shuship and we had to listen to a story then have a party. He kept calling Edward Jesus and shouting at him 'jesus sit here' Jesus will you listen?' Dh and I were in fits he was so serious about it too.
Popped to my sil's this morning. Both her dd's had birthdays this week so we popped their presants in. The boys always have great fun there.
DH at work now. ds3 and 5 sleeping ds3 watching Roary The Racing Car

simpson · 19/04/2009 14:36

A few days after my birthday its DH's so I have to ponder what to get him.

He is so difficult to buy for too...

LOL at Edward being called Jesus

mixedmamameansbusiness · 19/04/2009 16:20

Gingeme - did laugh at that. Rather snort.

I have a new weight Loss incentive... we are going to DH ex-gf wedding at the end of May arrghhh. I have met her before and she came to my engagement, but it wasnt serious really and in the days of college so no prob with going but have to feel the best I possibly can. DH tried to tell me to wear one of my Asian suits in my wardrobe but NO WAY have made it clear if I am attending an exes wedding only a new outfit will do

DH is quite good with pressies really. Sometimes we just dont bother depending on money... but normally he comes thru fairly well and normally gives me money for getting hair done etc... i haveto be honet i would be miffed if he brought me any kind of utensil.

Boys are asleep and have been since 1.30 they are knackered from swimming today.

AngeChica · 19/04/2009 17:03

Yayyyy Simpson!

simpson · 19/04/2009 17:07

madmouse · 19/04/2009 18:51

nathan has just eaten half a large tin of beans for tea. Feeling sorry for dh when he gets him up tomorrow morning. Hope dh manages to have breakfast first as we have so far had no poo today

So Simps HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!!!!!

JustKeepSwimming · 19/04/2009 20:48

PMSL Madmouse!!!

(have to confess to leaving dirty nappies for DH to 'notice' when he's around. only fair methinks....)

G - we had the T climbing into H's cot the other night. H was asleep, T woke him up and put everything in the cot too. we were not happy.
Started from being at my parents when H was in a travel cot right next to T's bed. One night, listening on the monitor, we heard lots of laughing, then T being cross, "you broke my tent" ...

went in, both in the cot with duvet across the top and all teddies/blankets in with them, both laughing hysterically. T was just a tad unhappy that H had pulled the duvet down in one corner but otherwise they were having fun.

was nearly 8.30 though when bedtime is 7, grr.

managed to get them to both go down at 7.30 tonight, so hoping we are heading back to 7......

DH back to work tomorrow, back to pre-school & toddler groups routine - thankfully

Going to try and add a pre-sch session for T on Thurs to let H have another morning in peace (and me, lol)

nothing to add really, waffling again, sorry!

simpson · 19/04/2009 20:51

Lilyloo - enjoy your holiday

Madmouse - wouldn't like to change Nathan's nappy tom

Thank God J is back at pre school tomorrow

as he has been hard work the last 3 or 4 days...

M has been a little star though and looked at her today and realised my baby is growing up. She doesn't look like a baby any more, but a toddler
