OK sorry I haven't posted earlier but MN not working for me?

A was ok on weds/thurs back to her bubbly thirsty self but still warm.

Today she's clingy as hell and warm and wingey I dont know whats wrong. AND she's gone back to waking at night?

simpson · 17/04/2009 15:56

Gingeme - aquadraw best thing for when it is raining, although M sucks the water out of the pen

Lucky - could be teeth?

Well DD has not slept at all yet today and TBH not going to offer nap now so predict either earlier than usual bedtime or melt down!!

she should be tired, she has been at creche for 2hrs while I did my class and she had a great time!!

Her new thing is trying to sing "row the boat" while doing actions and she also does actions for wind the bobbin which is very sweet!!

LuckySalem · 17/04/2009 16:16

Aww Simps - DD does those too. THey're her fave songs!! Shes also started a game which is to put her chair by the sofa, climb up and then wait for us to help her jump off

simpson · 17/04/2009 16:48

LOL at A on chair

M has been doing the row the boat actions for a while but now tries to sing along which is sooo cute!!

I cannot believe how chirpy she is right now considering she hasn't slept today. Don't say this is the beginning of the end for the daytime nap

LuckySalem · 17/04/2009 16:49

A doesn't sing the songs either, she just rows!! lol

simpson · 17/04/2009 16:56

When i mean singing, M just shrieks "row" "row" at the top of her voice while doing actions!!

Tis most funny and the 2 girls at the creche today thought it was really sweet!!

Gingeme · 17/04/2009 16:58

Lucky your daughter is crackers definately sounds like teeth.
Yes Simpson Edward used to suck the water out too
George is currently standing on the coffee table watching the tele and occasionaly looking round to see if I'm watching. I'm choosing to ignore him and hope he gets down himself or fall
My Dad is moving into his new place on Tuesday. Luckily DH has the day off so hes going to give him a hand with his bits. We have a trolley thing si hes going to borrow that to get bits upstairs. Doesn't have to worry about a washing machine as they have a wash room and his sofa bed is being delivered next week so its only a small fridge thats of any weight realy.

simpson · 17/04/2009 19:03

Lucky - forgot to saw that vid of A, is sooo cute Love her chuckle!!

JustKeepSwimming · 17/04/2009 19:24

Aww Lucky - so cute, she's so bright!

Simps - yep, T, H & all friends kids suck the water out! weirdos!

drank too much last night so not really in the mood but sure i will cheer up once i'm there.

um, not much else, hoping to do some jobs tomorrow morning then DH & I are off to the football, yey!

than a quiet-ish sunday, then back to normal routine on monday.

AngeChica · 17/04/2009 20:43

evening all.

as you know DS has had trouble with night time separation anxiety for months, but I am very despondent right now because just for the last few nights it seems to have spread to bedtime. We have NEVER had a problem putting him to bed before but he has been wailing on and off for an hour more now. It stops if you go in his room & sit by the cot, which is what we have to do at night, so I know it's not teeth. We're having these horrors at bathtime and now at bedtime, if I'm at work this is the only time I get to spend with him and it's turned from a nice time to a nightmare.

i'm really feeling like i can't cope at the moment, which is ridiculous because at this stage you think you should be able to deal with anything. but I just feel spanners are constantly being thrown in the works.

sorry to vent again. i'm just so tired........

madmouse · 17/04/2009 20:56

Ange big hug from me

Sorry you are feeling like that!

Thinking you should be able to cope with everything now is the quickest way to get yourself down. And it is nonsense.

I am going to whisper the words 'controlled crying' which worked really well for nathan. Ad be careful not to let working mummy guilt get in the way. You are not doing ds any harm.

Be kind to yourself sweetie, sleepp deprivation is used as a method of torture for a reason.

Aww Ange - I dont know what to suggest. Are you sure theres nothing hurting etc? I mean if hes just being testing then I would suggest letting him have a rant and leaving him calm but.. that may not work with your DS.

AngeChica · 17/04/2009 21:01

have resorted to calpol night

LaTrucha · 17/04/2009 21:35

Sorry you're feeling down Ange - If it's any consolation sabela isn't sleeping at all well. For me, I can't blame her. Over the past six months, as soon as she's settled in one place we move her. I would whisper CC too. I was very anti it until I simply couldn't cope after the death of my mother and flu. Sabela was actually relieved to knwo she didn't need me. I'm not really doing it now as it's my 'fault' she's insecure. Back to co-sleeping. It's quite cute really. I lay out my arm, she curls round it and sleeps - wakes - sleeps.

Whatever you decide it's not an easy time, but you're not the only one!

Hello to everyone else. Haven't sorted the middle brother yet as dealing with the big one (in every sense). Had a strict but gentle talk with him this morning. I wasn't nasty but neither did I pull the punches. He went and phoned some support groups but the alcohol advisory clinic have given him an appointment for a month's time. What the bloody hell use is that, eh?

OH! I just realised I haven't even told you -- he turned up roaring drunk yesterday.

God, I'm all me me me ATM aren't I? I'm really sorry.

LaTrucha · 17/04/2009 21:38

Oh! and a question. Do any of your LOs ever vomit at bedtime? Sabela has the last two nights. I think I'm giving her food too close to bedtime but tonight it really looked as if she was trying to make herself do it. That's not very likely is it, or if she was it would be because her tummy was uncomfy, no?

LuckySalem · 17/04/2009 21:41

LaT - I've not had DD vomit since she was tiny with what I'm sure was reflux.

I would have a work with HV or someone but not worry too much yet.

simpson · 17/04/2009 21:45

LaT - what times does she have tea and what time does she go to bed?

Not sure if they can do it deliberately TBH.

Ange - sorry you are having a pants time re sleep M has cried every night this week when I put her down (apart from today oddly) for bed. Also thinks she doesn't like being left by herself either....

LuckySalem · 17/04/2009 21:46

aaliyah has started waking in the night again and I'm not sure what thats down to tbh, but I wonder whether thats whats making her ill cos shes not sleeping enough.

simpson · 17/04/2009 21:52

M wakes in the night too but seems happy enough so i don't go in to her.

Her new word is "standing" in a little sing song voice (soooo cute!!)

And sometimes I hear it in the night and know she is standing up in cot How she does it in sleeping bag I will never know!!

LuckySalem · 17/04/2009 21:54

Simps - You've got a clever one there!!

Aaliyah isn't happy so..... I'm trying a theory that she's cold in the night so am going to put the heating on for an hour before bed tonight

simpson · 17/04/2009 22:15

Fingers X it works for you (or rather for A!!)

LuckySalem · 18/04/2009 10:43

Shocking night last night
A in bed at 8, back up at 9:30, asleep again at 1am, awake at 5am till 6:30, awake again at 9am. [yawn]

simpson · 18/04/2009 11:26

Morning all

Think its going to be a long day

DD done 3 poos already so her bum is red raw so she is whingey etc.

DS wants to dig up my flower beds and pour water all over himself when we are going to to a restaurant for lunch. He is currently sitting on floor by front door screaming that he hates me!!

simpson · 18/04/2009 15:38

DD has not stopped pooing

And I have just remembered that she grabbed J's spoon off him when he was eating chocolate mousse last night at tea time and licked it clean before I realised what she had done
