Hello MJ! Ooooh, I would go!! I haven't been abroad since my honeymoon 7 years ago!!!!

oooggs · 09/03/2009 13:15

and you lot think you are knackered

well life is getting a little better more organised, by 10am, all 5 of us dressed and fed, school run with ds1 & triple pushchair (3mile round trip) pork casserole for lunch with veg and a spag bol for tomorrow and ready for more to arrive to play - now I am really knackered.

Sexonlegs · 09/03/2009 14:17

Blimey Oooggs is all I can say!

Liath, glad you had a good time away although not so glad about your fall! What happened?? Hope you feel better soon.

MJ, sounds like a trip to Benidorm then??

SPB, how is T today?

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Had a fairly pants night as exepected. K coughing and crying out on and off and then B came in at 6.15 asking for a tissue Go to the sodding bathroom then

Had a filling this a.m. - my first one EVER! Not a pleasant experience, but not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Have done the ironing, hoovered the car, been to the launderette for a service wash and am now awaiting the delivery of my new washer/dryer. Hope they come soon!

Bramshott · 09/03/2009 14:30

My goodness Oooggs - you are superwoman!!!

SOL - good luck for the new job (is that today?)

I am feeling quite organised today and the sun is shining - hooray!

CaptainDippy · 09/03/2009 14:40

Ooooggs - you rock!!!

Hope tonight is better SOL and your washer/dryer comes soon!!

runnyhabbit · 09/03/2009 17:19

Evening all

V of holiday talk. Still, the extra family time dh will have will be worth it

W seems to be taking his pump all in his stride. Just sits there and giggles when I put the mask over his face. Then he has to do it me, J and dh

Our kitchen/diner has been done, and I cannot believe I've lived without one for so long, lol! Although there is no flooring down, we're using our patio chairs with the dining table, and walls need painting. Most important thing is that the boys have managed to fit their train track in it

StealthPolarBear · 09/03/2009 19:14

Wow oooggs, don't think I could have managed all that before DS!
SOL, sorry you had a filling, but very of you getting to your age (whatever that might be ) without one - I have too many to count
Poor K, hope last night was a one off. T was OK but that's because DH slept in spare room and I brought him in with me at 1. He was burning up during the night and was kept well calpoled, but seems a bit better today.
Hi runny, Dippy, Bramshott, MY, elkie, liath...

StealthPolarBear · 09/03/2009 19:14

MJ
I have pregnant fat fingers

CaptainDippy · 09/03/2009 22:32

I've got no fillings yet ....

Sexonlegs · 10/03/2009 07:41

Morning!

I had fluoride treatment as a child which helped re the fillings.

Well, news from here is that I have declined the job. I have been having doubts for the last 2 weeks, and last night dh and I talked for ages.

I just feel it is too much to take on. I know others do more and have a family, but I just felt the work/life balance would sway too much towards work, and my heart isn't in it. I think I just jumped at the first part time HR job because they are like gold-dust. I may live to regret it, but just feel the timing is all wrong atm.

Anyway, sorry for the self absorbed post.

liath · 10/03/2009 08:25

Did you have those funny tasting mouthwashes at school too, SOL?

I think you have to go with your gut instinct with the job. Good luck with it all!

StealthPolarBear · 10/03/2009 10:42

Well done for making the decision SOL. Are you going to apply for other jobs or just see what happens?

CaptainDippy · 10/03/2009 13:48

Good for you SOL FWIW, I think you have made a very balanced decision!

Sexonlegs · 10/03/2009 14:45

I have gone back to my old place!!!!! Started back today. Still only doing 6 hours a week there, but things will pick up there and for now I feel it suits. I am hoping to perhaps help at B's school with reading
Thanks lovelies xx

CaptainDippy · 10/03/2009 16:03
Smile
StealthPolarBear · 10/03/2009 16:15

Fantastic- the place you loved and didn't want to leave

cazboldy · 10/03/2009 19:05

Oh wow SOL how did that come about?

oooggs · 10/03/2009 20:27

sol - thats great news

Sexonlegs · 10/03/2009 20:52

Thank you lovelies

It is just perfect - I feel so relieved.
So nice to be back and everyone was really pleased to see me

How is T SPB? K had a really high temp last night and has a chesty cough poor love. B under the weather too. Evenings are fun here as they are just so tired as well as feeling pants. Queue v sensitive children!

Washing machine arrived too, so the pile of washing is decreasing - hurray!!!!!

StealthPolarBear · 10/03/2009 20:55

hurrah to pile of washing going down
Hope B and K are better soon. Coughs are awful as they wake themselves up coughing!
T is better, temperature gone but still not right iykwim. He's OK most of the time, but sometimes just wingey and grumpy, and is breathing snuffily. Also wants feeding lots and off meals (as much as he's ever on them!)

runnyhabbit · 10/03/2009 21:49

Fab news SOL x

Well, we are into day 2 of dh new job, and so far it is lush (I love that word, lol)
Boys have been playing outside since coming home from school, dh came home about 5.45, all had tea together. Boys played a bit more, I pottered around in kitchen, and dh is just home. Feels so good, I can't actually stop smiling
I know I do go on about dh being home, but for nearly 6 years, I have never known what time he will be home, until he was on his way home. J was starting to really miss his daddy, especially at bedtime. The odd night of tears, I can handle. But every night was draining.
And our social life is returning. we have been asked for a meal in a few weeks, and it's been lovely to say yes straight away, instead of dh having to check he won't be working late, or only being able to confirm the day before.

I'm rambling, I know....

elkiedee · 10/03/2009 23:47

rh, I can relate to what you say. I knew what shifts dp was on during his most recent spell of shiftwork, and it was still a pain. I love the fact that his current role as full time union rep is mostly office hours. He does have to go in early tomorrow to support a protest but he gets home quite early frequently too.

CaptainDippy · 11/03/2009 07:26

Aw, so good RH Enjoy!

Sexonlegs · 11/03/2009 07:45

Runny, you sound sooooo happy! Really glad it is all working out.

Morning all

Northernlurker · 11/03/2009 08:06

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!!!

Have had text from my mil and sil is at hospital and almost fully dilated!!! Please pray and think of her and the baby. I'm in a total dither, excited and slightly worried for them - hope and pray everything is going easily for them. Sounds stupid but I've never been in this position before - it's usually me having the babies!

Also we had a call from the council yesterday - message left on my phone - asking me to ring the educaton access team. No idea what that's about - so all in a dither about that too. Trying not to hope it's a place come free at the school we want...

Runny - dh's hours sound much better - how lovely for you.

SOL - wow - I turn my back for a day and it's big decision time! I think you've done absolutely the right thing - working more hours isn't easy and your heart has to be in it for it to work for you.

Ok off to pace now.....
