elkie, how annoying about your bathroom. Ikwym about being sympathetic. OTOH you have 2 young children and you need a working bathroom. Is there any chance you could suggest to him that you get someone else to fnish off - at least then you'd know where you stand. Or would taking the remaining work away from him be the final straw?!

My cold got worse over the weekend, and the cough has developed. Today I am feeling a bt better but am just sick of having a cold! Could be worse I suppose, T seems to have escaped with only a few sniffly days.

Did WCL say that she wasn't going to be around much or did she just disappear? It's sad to see so many old names on the list. Hopefully some of them will pop back around now to say hello.

P (the builder) just turned up about half an hour ago, when I was about to start getting C ready to go out. We're still going, though. He says he'll be back with his mate in the morning. I don't want to take the work away, I think it would be a last straw for him, but also, I'd have to find someone else to do it. P's out of work at the moment, whereas our previous builder is probably still busy - he's self employed but has a contract with a council which is probably recession proof.

Definitely will Luce, congratulations to them but must be a worry for you all

All ok here. Have bee on a school trip with B today which was just lovely. We went to Pizza Express to learn how to make pizza One of the joys of reduced hours - dh still has Monday off with K, and I am free to do stuff! B was overjoyed to have me on the trip

Just had a bloke round to get our wills sorted. We have been meaning to do it for years. Made me quite sad thinking about dying and leaving our girls

Ah, birthday, now this I do have sorted (well I'd better have really, as it's next week!) - I am ordering some wooden cars and a tractor and train from here

I have decided there is too much plastic tat in my house, and the prices on this site look pretty good for wooden stuff. And above all, the are SMALL and won't take up much space!!

F's birthday is a week on Saturday and I haven't got her anything yet. She loves dolls and pushchairs but we are inundated with that type of thing so didn't really want to add to the collection! I really do not know what I will get her yet!

SPB, my night shift was likely to be a one off. I work my regular job but then I am starting to do some agency work too as a means of earning a bit more money. It pays well so I shouldn't have to work that many shifts to make a difference iykwim. It is very much a last minute thing, I only got a phone call to work Sunday night at about 2pm on Sunday afternoon.
The good thing is that I had an early night last night so feel back to normal today!

Oooggs, hope you all get there without too much stress! F will only hold my hand if the mood takes her. She is fiercely independent and so willful. It drives me mad sometimes!

It is gorgeously sunny here today so I am off out to the garden to plant some little flowers that I bought on Sunday. My dad came up yesterday afternoon and helped me put some into pots so I only have the border in the front garden left to do today.
