MJ, glad F's party went well, and the cake was appreciated x

Dooby, I know you have logged off, but good luck with the move x

Runny, how are relations with dh now? Hope you are ok. x

Liath, how is ds today? Did you hear from your dh? Hope you are ok. x

Leaky, fab news re the GTT result!!

Luce, hope little lad is still fighting.

Elkie, please try not to worry about the weight gain. I know a few of us on here (Ange, Pesha and me) had worries with our lo's, and we really needn't have worried. x

PHD, lovely to see you, and good luck with the birth.

Erm.... can't remember anything else

Had a hectic weekend up at in-laws. It was fil's 60th so we had a full on weekend of partying. Nice to be back home! Working later on today so atm, have the house to myself as dh is off on a Monday and has taken K out for the day.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi Bramshott

liath · 23/03/2009 15:56

Hi all. Dh rang later and had been really busy. He was quiet overnight last night though so got home this morning and has done all the prep work for roast chicken dinner instead of going to bed .

Ds is very spotty but weathering it well so far....\i've stuck him infront of a DVD of Bod (anyone else remember Bod ?) in the folorn hope that he might nod off.

StealthPolarBear · 23/03/2009 19:26

That's good liath - what a lovely husband!

leakyR · 23/03/2009 19:31

Well done on the cake MJ.

Elkie - you can always rely on Mumsnet being THE place to talk baby-poo.

Caz- yes dh has come round to the hb idea. just hoping he doesn't faint or vomit or both during birth.

Liath - hope ds is improving. g had 3 terrible days with chickenpox then was ok if very spotty.

Saw my brother and sil today after their 20 week scan. All fine which is excellent news and they're def coming to visit at Easter which is also G's birthday.

Shopping with MIL mercifully short and she almost made it to 24 hours without sayiing something tactless and insensitive.

CALM SERENE NOT-AT-ALL-IRRITATED

Day with my lovely mam tomorrow. Going out to avoid dad

Northernlurker · 23/03/2009 19:41

Hi all
hope all well and that nobody is allowing their lo to feed themselves from a jar whilst on a bus! (see AIBU)

all fine here, busy, busy and to talk poo - B has just done the most terribly honking nappy - it was nasty!

It was my birthday yesterday - nice day, some birthday cash which I've spent on work clothes - just need new boots now. I also got breakfast in bed

runnyhabbit · 23/03/2009 20:08

Evening all

NL - happy Birthday for yesterday and I lurked on that thread. Pmsl

MJ - fab cake. I bet it tasted as good as it looks

Home has a much better atmosphere now, thank goodness. Basically had it out with dh Friday, which wasn't nice to say the least, but it did clear the air. Don't think dh realised just how much pressure I'm under in work atm. Did explain that all I wanted was a bit of support from him. Had a lovely day Saturday (which was his birthday) and got spoilt yesterday

As for work. The woman who is training me is good at her actual job, but, not so good at training, and communicating The absolute worse bit? She doesn't know yet that when I'm fully trained, I will actually be her boss.

Arrggghhh. Bloody office politics

CaptainDippy · 23/03/2009 21:27

Zoooooming by briefly ....

Happy Birthday for yesterday NL, yum to honky nappy - P does lots of those >

Night.

Bramshott · 24/03/2009 09:45

Happy belated birthday NL! Glad you had a nice day.

Advice needed for DD1 (poo alert!) - she's had diorrhea type problems for about the last month, and is going to the loo at lot - including at school she tells me. I should really take her to the doctor shouldn't I? BUT I'm worried (on her behalf) about what that might involve IYSWIM! Anyone had any experience of this sort of thing - either what might be the problem, or what a visit to the doctors is likely to involve? She's 6, so just starting to be embarrassed by all that sort of thing . . .!

cazboldy · 24/03/2009 10:10

Happy belated birthday NL xx

Bramshott. Yes i would take her. They might ask for a sample, which you can get fairly easily at home, and will probably just ask questions about her diet and general health. I really wouldn't worry.

ds1 had similar problems at about 6 years old, and was very worried about going to the doctors, but remember they will be dealing with things like this every day xx

MJreturns · 24/03/2009 14:10

Hi all.

Bramshott, I really wouldn't worry about taking her to the doctors. Initially it will probably just be getting a sample to send away for testing. There are lots of bugs that can live in your gut for a long time giving you symptoms, but leaving you well iykwim. It may be that she has a simple bug which could be easily treated with antibiotics. Hope she gets sorted soon

Glad you had a good birthday NL

RH, glad that you and dh have sorted things out now, atmosphere at home is just horrible.

Bramshott · 24/03/2009 14:14

You see, all this talk of samples is worrying me already!!! A sample of what?!? Poo? Wee? HELPP!!

cazboldy · 24/03/2009 14:21

Poo... they give you a special little pot, with a tiny spoon, to collect it with

Bramshott · 24/03/2009 14:27

And can you scoop it out of the toilet, or does it have to be "dry" iyswim?!

cazboldy · 24/03/2009 14:51

yes, dry.... but if you put a good pad of loo roll in there first it should be ok... that's what I did
