Well done Mrs JB.
Quick peak in on my lunch break so please excuse my lack of replies. Okay was due yesterday, do I test today or wait till tomorrow? Quite excited but also quite apprehensive as well. Proabably nothing to get giddy over so may well wait awhile just have felt very hot in the night for a few nights running now. Maybe in the change
tho.

Okay I know you will say test so am off to chemist to buy one and will do tomorrow.

AprilMeadow · 02/03/2009 13:10

Yay well done MrsJB

Fingers crossed for you Charley xx

GO MKG!!

Off to college now for an afternoon/evening of FUN!! Only 4 more to go.

charleymouse · 02/03/2009 13:11

Ok scrap previous message on way to chemist for sanitary products.

Holds out hands to PJ and TSM and Scoot in TTC club.

JamInMyWellies · 02/03/2009 13:58

SKY I am so sorry yes I did and I completely forgot to thank you I meant to send a thank you card and I forgot. Sorry again and thank you for the gift for Lachie.

SKYTVADDICT · 02/03/2009 16:30

Oh good Jam - no worries - was just hoping I didn't have to chase the good old postal service!

Fingers crossed for your test Charley.

No news from MKG today yet! And she was so hoping to finish the Twilight Series this week

I finished book number 4 last night and quite enjoyed them. DD2 has to dress up on Thursday for book day and DD1 wants her to go as Bella Cullen (after she becomes a vampire).

She will go as a scare crow from Wizard of Oz as that is all I can manage and SHE WILL NOT be following the crowd and going as a cheer leader or Sharpay Evans from High School Musical! [Mean mummy emoticon]

Themasterandmargaritas · 02/03/2009 17:42

Normally MKG has popped on by now.... [excited emoticon]

Sky, HSM isn't even a book. Good for you, I'm sure dd will look divine as a scarecrow.

Sorry Charley, you and me, we are in sync girlfriend.

Tillyscoutsmum · 02/03/2009 17:48

Oh Charley That's rubbish

Well done Mrs JB

I don't reckon MKG will be finishing Twighlight.... by the end of the day (GMT) (I know I've already had one prediction and got in wrong, but that was just a practice run )

Me and DH (well more DH) have been running our company for one year today. Wonder if I'll get him to agree to a takeaway to celebrate

MmeJaffaB · 02/03/2009 19:06

Charley, Sorry, I missed your post earlier. It'll happen, be patient. (((hug)))

I didn't know Scoot was TTC, she's crazier than I had her down as. Hasn't she realised/learnt already that a close age gap is just a STUPID idea. Or even that 3 is such a BAD idea!

SKYTVADDICT · 02/03/2009 21:05

Sorry Charley I missed that too!

TMAM - I know HSM isn't even a book and I have pointed that out BUT they have made books from the film!

Found out her best friend is going as Little Red Riding Hood so she doesn't mind the scare crow so much now

SKYTVADDICT · 02/03/2009 21:06

Aaargh - scarecrow is one word isn't it? I have been out of work for less than a week and I can no longer spell!

MKG · 02/03/2009 22:19

Ha ha ha. I'm still here and I've finished the third book about 20 minutes ago and am lustfully eyeing the fourth one as we speak. I will wait until after I watch Heroes tonight (a woman has to have some priorities doesn't she.

I started the 3rd one last night so I should finish the last one tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest. I'm glad I haven't had the baby yet as we got 10 inches or snow last night and roads are still pretty bad. That's all I need.

charleymouse · 03/03/2009 00:22

Thanks April, SKY, TMAM, TSM, MJB. No worries will not get stressed by it just might adjust my counting. Off to bed as pooped and have a 9:30 presentation on the "relative societal value of health gains to different beneficiaries." Ooh what an exciting life I lead. Cheers MKG waiting for my due date predicton.

largeginandtonic · 03/03/2009 08:09

Sorry CM a December baby would be lovely though so fingers crossed

Scoot isn't ttc is she?

I am having lots of visits in the next few weeks, it is fab. I have a friend over this avo have not seen her for ages, AM tomorrow, Scoot next week AND i am meeting Cod for an Ikea trawl next week too

It is much better to be occupied when they are all small,i go a bit crazy at home alone with them all.

TMAM what cake requests do you have for July? Long way off though i suppose.

Come on MKG

Sky DS3 went as Superman! A comic book i rationalised

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 03/03/2009 09:35

I think Scoot may have thought about it briefly, but I'm not sure she'd actually decided to ttc.

ShowOfHands · 03/03/2009 13:32

Oh charley.

I think we're all in sync on here by the sounds of it. I need chocolate. Physically need chocolate. Can't have any though. Going on holiday in a couple of weeks and need to look less like a beached whale in a swimming costume.

How do I convince M that '[ba]nana' isn't a colour? She's got a mental block and thinks yellow is 'nana'. All other colours fine (even pink). I see her logic, I do as orange is her favourite colour but why isn't green 'broccoli' for example? Why banana? She's strange. And bossy. Told me today to 'come here to me mummy' pointed at the floor in front of her and added 'right now'. Ignored her and she tried a 'please love you mummy come here'. Wily wily.

ShowOfHands · 03/03/2009 13:32

Oh lordy not scoot too?

It'll be jaffa next.

Tillyscoutsmum · 03/03/2009 13:36

Friend's funeral is on Thursday - its in your neck of the woods MrsJoe. We need to drop T off in Cardiff at the in laws and then drive up to Liverpool for the funeral and then back down to Cardiff. I'm dreading it

ShowOfHands · 03/03/2009 14:00

TSM, what happened? Sorry, I can't access the old thread, it grew too big.

Tillyscoutsmum · 03/03/2009 14:03

Hi SOH

One of dh's cycling friends - they were all out for a ride the Saturday before last and his friend had a massive heart attack and died. He was 40 . DH was with him when it happened and was obviously a bit shook up etc.

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 03/03/2009 14:12

Aw Tilly - Obviously I'd have suggested a coffee under better circumstances.

SOH - eat the chocolate, woman. You deserve it, you've been so disciplined. L is equally frustrating. She can count to ten but four and five are the same number, something like, 'forive, six, seven, eight....'. And she'll point at something orange and say, 'that's orange', and when we ask her to repeat what colour it is (to bask in the glory or show her off a bit ) she always, always, says, 'it's blue'. Gah!

ShowOfHands · 03/03/2009 14:18

M is at least getting the colours consistently right, just yelling 'nana' in public, which I worry makes her sound starved. M's good at 1-10 but I'm afraid eight is eightdinner. You tell her otherwise.

TSM, that's terrible. 40? Goodness me. And presumably fit doing what I imagine to be like the weekend rides here- pretty long. Your dh must be shaken- and you every time he cycles as well? I really am sorry.

ShowOfHands · 03/03/2009 14:21

I will eat chocolate btw, when I've lost another half a stone. Worked hard this week, run 5 days in a row, hard runs too so hope to make some inroads to looking less jelly like.

JamInMyWellies · 03/03/2009 14:37

SOH I have seen photos of you there is no way you have any jelliness!

Just be grateful you ones that speak A is still rather to fond of the scream. I fear Lachlan will be talking before A.

Also how can I get people to pronounce L's name correctly its driving me bonkers. Everyone says it with a kicking K sound (does that make sense?)even the inlaws and I have told them a million times how to pronounce it.

Tillyscoutsmum · 03/03/2009 14:37

I think you should eat choc SOH. 5 days running in a row

I've just had a lovely cadburys caramel and a cup of tea. Tilly is actually asleep, which, considering we have builders in drilling holes in the external wall, is something of a miracle.

Tilly knows most of her colours but did go through a phase where everything was red. She also counts but seven sounds like "onion"

SOH - you are so right about worrying when he goes out cycling. The worst thing is that DH asked the police whether he could phone his friend's wife to tell her what had happened (we've known her for years) but the police said they have to go round to the house and tell her themselves. Just the thought of his poor wife happily going about her business and then having police turning up on her doorstep and telling her that. Hideous. Must be one of the hardest parts of being a police officer as well

MrsJoe - yes - coffee would have been good in other circumstances. I'll hopefully get to meet you all at some point
