Found out this morning that a friend died over the weekend. I have no idea how or why and feel so helpless being so far away. I worked with him for a few years and with his girlfriend for 8years. They have children roughly the same age as mine am so . Have organised flowers and left her a voicemail... he was only 36.

My old boss texted me this am saying she needed to speak urgently. I called her and she told me that she had heard from someone but wasnt sure if it was true. I called nursery as my friends youngest goes there. Luckily i know the girls in the office well and explained that i had an odd question and explained how i knew them (although they knew we were friends). They confirmed but didnt know any details.

AM thats just awful... you've probably done all you can do tbh for the moment. hugs to you & thoughts to them. x

To assuage my guilt at leaving behind my darlings, I have today spent the whole day with Jasper. We have been for a hot chocolate, driven around the supermarket, watched teletubbies, done one school run, gone pony riding with dd, gone to football with ds1 and come home. I don't know how you all do it on your own, I really don't.

FIL's scan came back all clear.V good news.He still isnt well at all, but they moved him back to the hosp nearer home and he is sitting up and eating a bit now..which is all good.

DH is away on business in Manchester (actually he is staying where we stayed for GA Pink)He just called to day he was fed up being on his own What I wouldnt give for a night in a hotel on my own.I couldnt really hear him TBH as Lil screaming bloody murder in the background.I know where I'd rather be!
