Thats a really nice idea for the newspaper scoot, may just see if I can do that, which one though, the Sun or the Daily Mail? snigger!

Fingers crossed for FIL today.

Sky, well done. You should really try to get weighed at the same time, it can make a 2lb difference easily. Keep going.

elkiedee · 12/05/2009 09:58

Aaarrgggh at the freezer LG&T, hope your MIL does help you out a bit.

Tilly, good news on the scan.

Sky, congratulations on losing 9 lb, sorry you didn't get the job.

TheGreatScootini · 12/05/2009 10:57

The Sun..or if they are Zaney, the National Enquirer. It is bound to have some headline like 'Aliens in Basingstoke' or something

Have just heard that FIL wont be CT'd today afterall-something up with the machine..FGS.

elkiedee · 12/05/2009 12:22

National Enquirer is a good idea - I love newspapers and I'm a Guardian reader generally, but front page headlines are always a bit depressing (I tend to read obituaries which are much more cheerful if sometimes sad - you learn interesting things about famous people and there's an Other Lives bit which celebrates the lives/achievements of some people who aren't so well known) and features.

TheGreatScootini · 12/05/2009 13:00

I read the Guardian for the social care supplement on a Wednesday and other than that only the Sunday Times magazine/style section/homes supplement (property porn) and The News of The World.

But I do HAVE to watch the news daily so am not a total uninformed cretin

And my Grazia of course which am just off to purchase now.

Mae had a 1 hour paddy this morning. She kept bellowing 'i want my beebee'Neither Lily or I had the foggiest idea what she was on about and I got quite cross till it dawned on me she was saying 'pee-jay' as in pyjamas and was actually asking to go back to bed.Ooops

Themasterandmargaritas · 12/05/2009 16:01

this one Scoot? I love it. Especially with the red shoes. There is no way I could wear anything that short nowadays

TheGreatScootini · 12/05/2009 16:31

Thatsb the one!You dont think the bow looks a bit air hostessy? (Actually that might be why I like it, Ive alwasy quite fancied being an air hostess)

Have ordered anyway. And the shoes. It will prob look dreadful but can always send back..

Nonsense Master. You must have super toned legs with all the running you do.I on the other hand have just walked the girls back from L's pre school, which is all of baout 2.5 miles and In feel exhausted!Granted I carried Mae and the shopping for at least two of those miles but still, I am only 29 and it was hardly the Hindu Kush FGS.

Themasterandmargaritas · 12/05/2009 17:03

Hmmmmm I suppose there is a hint of air hostessness to it Better stay away from the american tan tights then. It will look fab with the shoes. And you are dark haired too so it will look lovely. When it comes take a pic for me to see. I can't find any day dresses on their for me, now I really feel old.

I'm telling you it doesn't matter how much running you do, you can't shift what God has given you. I was thunder thighs at school and I'll remain thunder thighs for ever.

largeginandtonic · 12/05/2009 17:30

I am so tired.I had 3 and a half hours last night.

The boy did go to sleep this morning on the way to M&S though and he transferred in to the buggy. It was great!

No tantrums so far >

Scoot the dress is fab and will look amazing! Ver good choice. Ta for the ideas, i may strap him into the buggy. It would have to be before he reaches Incredible Hulk status though, he is so strong.

Sky sorry about the job. Blardy well done on the weight though!! Fantastic!

Master i'd like a look at those thunder thighs bet they are not.

MrsJB that sounds fab, can't wait

Scoot....My sister had a neckachief just like that once.... You'd make a beautiful memeber of BA cabin crew. note correct PC.

It is lovely though scoot and you are so lucky you can wear that at 29 after two girls. It will look fab.

lg&t, Try to get your head down early with them if you can. Sometimes the best sleep is before midnight. No word from MIL?
I'll give you a call or send a text on the Thursday but pop it in your diary for the Friday mid morning...yay!

JamInMyWellies · 12/05/2009 22:02

Scoot I lurve that dress and the shoes I am so vvvvv that you can wear something like that. I perm. wear converse runners, jeans and t-shirts I have so many pairs of beautiful shoes which will never see the floor of a bar again.

LG&T poor you is there a friend close by who could help out a bit. In answer to your query the other day Archie has the most heinous tantrums but occasionally I see the little happy funny man that he is and I cling to the hope that when his speech gets better he will be able to communicate better so hopefully the tantrums will be less.

Am I love Lucky Charms whe I lived in the US my doet mainly consisted of Lucky Charms, sushi, vodka and fags. mmmm my body was a temple.

Its so nice to see everyones birthday pics on FB we did produce a gorgeous bunch of children.

JamInMyWellies · 12/05/2009 22:03

my doet obviously I mean diet

Tillyscoutsmum · 13/05/2009 08:56

Scoot - I have to confess my first thought on the dress was air hostess ... but it is gorgeous and I am also very that you have the legs for something like that.

Any better on the sleep front LG&T ?? Really hope you get a decent night soon

Til is also tantrum tastic at the moment. Everything is such a battle - it drives me insane. She had her 2 year check yesterday and the HV asked (with some disdain) "Is she always this lively ?" She also asked what my plans were for working on her "discipline issues" ! She suggested a naughty step and pre school

Jam - I'm loving your US diet Can I also heartily recommend Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Macadamia Nut Ice Cream ? It is lush and is officially my pregnancy craving (which will of course continue way beyond pregnancy)

PJ - Where are you lovely ?

largeginandtonic · 13/05/2009 22:24

Evening ladies.

How are you all?

Pink hope you are ok, no more bleeding? I am so glad you got to see a healthy bean jumping on the screen yesterday

B has been an angel. No tantrums for 2 days and he slept last night! I am off to bed in a minute and have everything crossed that he will stay asleep again.

I have dh home tomorrow eve, i am very excited. I have missed him so much. The children are going to pop with anticipation.

Nooooooo i hear little feet...

Night night

Happy Birthday MrsJB, have a grrrreat day.

largeginandtonic · 14/05/2009 11:01

Happy Birthday MrsJB! What do you plan to do?

Twas big little big last night. B woke at 3 but stayed in my bed and went back to sleep after an hour of faffing. India however was a pickle! She was up 5 times. Probably a growth spurt?

She is 17 weeks on Friday, i had her weighed yesterday and she is only 13lb 8oz, tiny no?

I aksed the HV about B. She suggested distracting him out of the tantrum with a "No you can not have a coca cola but you can have a lolly later" I mean ffs. No toddler is going to accept 'later' are they! She also said he may be lonely at night and putting him in with an older sibling would be a good idea Oh yes the very children i am trying to keep away from the noise and disruption. He is not lonely he hates his cot! Don'tknow why i bother really.

Now ladies someone has nominated me for mumsnet 'mum of the year' who was it? Own up.

OP posts:
MmeJaffaB · 14/05/2009 13:31

Even if they do, they shouldn't, you are without doubt our Mum of the year. xx

Making fairy cakes, to take dancing with me tonight. Nothing special. Have to be out at 5.45pm. Would rather be dancing anyway.

largeginandtonic · 14/05/2009 13:35

Shut up or i will blub, where is TMAM, she would tell me to get a grip

I heard from SOH this morning, she is fine.

TYG text me the other day too to give B advice. She is ok.

Who else is mia?

Dancing eh, you need sparkles on the cup cakes so they look like disco balls or mini cowboy boots
