Themasterandmargaritas · 08/05/2009 16:36

Oh and the adorable, glamorous, bilingual, kindest MrsJB has bought us a new Ellie Many many many thanks.

MmeJaffaB · 08/05/2009 16:40

PJ, other than a lack of AF I (luckily or unluckily) have never had ANY pg'cy symptoms with any of mine. The wait is horrible though and I always worry a bit but there is nothing you can do at the end of the day, que sera, sera and all that!

Scoot, hope thigs get better sorry about FIL

Charley, yay for the scan

TMAM.... Ellie on it's way!

AM, thanks, hope you are still having fun.

I am manic, have a busy weekend ahead too so will probably not be aorund much.

MmeJaffaB · 08/05/2009 16:41

lol TMAM, X-posts!

Pinkjenny · 08/05/2009 16:43

I'm wondering if my private medical insurance would include a scan. I'm thinking probably not, as it would be routine, I guess.

TheGreatScootini · 08/05/2009 16:49

Or you might have piles PJ?And just noticed-can give a bit of bleeding sometimes..Sorry to be gross.

What a morning Charley..So glad it all went well.Hey do you fancy Meadowhall next Friday. We are going to a wedding on Saturday (FIL health dependent of course) and I need to get something to wear and will be going on Fri if you fancy meeting for a coffee?

The girls have been the limit today. They have fought constantly, then Mae got pecked by a goose in the park (not that badly, you'd think she'd been ruddy shot the fuss she made)Then they fell asleep before I could get them out at Tescos. So I decided to have a nap too.The trolley attendnat knocked on the windown after an hour to check we were alright
I couldnt be bothered with the carnage that would come from waking them up and taking them into Tesco, it was untenable. So now we are home and I am cobolling together tea out of what we have in:Four fish fingers, 1 slice of bread, a minute amount of mixed frozen veg and a small potato.I hope they are not hungry.Again, superb parenting.I really should write a book.

I hope my baby sitter comes soon.It will feel like being let out of jail today!

Tillyscoutsmum · 08/05/2009 17:09

Charley - so glad your scan went well and sorry to hear it was upsetting

Scoot - so sorry about FIL. FWIW, I'm liking your parenting style

elkiedee · 08/05/2009 18:46

CM, glad to hear the scan itself went well but how terrible that they couldn't coordinate a bit better on talking to you about what happened last time. Did the consultant explain why re continuous foetal monitoring?

Thinking of you Pink. I remember how much longer the waiting seemed second time round.

Scoot, hope you get to have your planned night out and that it's good.

dp's office was burgled today and his laptop was one of three taken.

AbbyLou · 08/05/2009 21:25

Evening all!
Well R has had a lovely day and was so excited. The kitchen was a huge hit and she has been so enthusiastic about every present. She's been so cute. Thanks for the birthday wishes.
Scoot so sorry about your fil. I hope your dh can find a way to cope with his feelings carefully, before he crashes! Sorry you're still having a nightmare with your job, I think you're a saint to still be doing it after all you've been through there.
Charley glad you got to see your bean. I can't believe you had to re-tell your story so many times, that must have been very painful for you. You'd think they'd have a little bit of tact at least.

SKYTVADDICT · 08/05/2009 22:28

Happy late birthday to Danny, Ruby, Aiden and Samuel.

Happy birthday tomorrow for Conor and Mathilda on Sunday.

Glad your scan was ok Charley.

Sounds like AM is having a lovely time and the piccies look good. Wishing I was there.

Sorry you are having troubles again Scoot. C also does not go to bed before 9 at the earliest. It he has a sleep it can be 10, like it was tonight, it does my head in when he is still playing and I just want to relax. Must try harder I suppose. He is still in his cot and hasn't climbed out yet. L is still in the travel cot in with us but should be getting his cot in C's room soon. God knows how that will work!!

Maybe after I win that £110 million tonight !

Inteview not brilliant tbh. I must try harder next time and actually be prepared with some questions to ask them . It was an experience for me though.

I have applied for another couple of jobs - the latest one being "Chlamydia Screening Administrative Support Officer"! Apparently discretion is quite high priority for that one

largeginandtonic · 09/05/2009 11:49

LOL Sky! Good luck

Happy Birthday to all the babies out there. I can't believe we have all been for almost 3 years!

Abby we have ordered Beau this one in red for his birthday at the end of the month. I have just got him a little pan set too and oven gloves... i may play with it myself

CM i am so sorry that they were not more sensitive at the appointment. Graet news on the healthy bean in there though

Scoot my darling wtf is going on! You must get a break soon, oyur poor dh Is he up there with his leg still in plaster? Mae and Lils are like twins it sounds, both winding each other up and not going to bed. Lock them in their room. If all mine fitted i WOULD! Have you seen Nanny McPhee? All the children are in a lovely attic room together, i want that.

Pink all will be well, get a scan to reassure you.

I bet i missed loads of you out. Am running on half a brain.

The sleep is not going well, he is wearing me out. He had a tantrum that lasted an hour yesterday. I am floored by the little psycho.

Must make some lunch for them all.

TheGreatScootini · 09/05/2009 21:09

We have tried putting them in a room together. It makes them worse. Its all 'lets do this, lets do that, lets wind Mummy up till her head is about to explode'
Of course they went down like lambs at 7.30 for the babysitter last night.Arrrrrgh!

Band were very good.I love Koko as its so small. After they finished they came into the audience and stood round chatting to everyone for ages.It was The Airborne Toxic Event I went to see-highly reccomended though they arent that big over here yet.MKG might know them, they have been on Letterman quite a bit.

DH's leg is only in support now.He is back tonight and will go back early in the week probably-or before, depends on what happend to FIL I guess.

I love what you have got B for his birthday gin.I am out of ideas for M.Between them its like Toys R us here.

I have just applied online to get some ex battery hens.(I know, becuase thats what I need right now, something else to be dependent on me )So now I need to get a coop and a run built.Gin did you have Egglu's for yours?
DH will go wild. But I heard about these 10 000 hens on the news that if they werent rehomed will be put down in June and I felt sorry for them.

We are supposed to be going to Colchester zoo tomorrow with some NCT friends. Its meant to be very good.I hope there is a decent camel.I love Camels but the one in the wildlife park near here is moth eaten and poor thing looks bored to tears.I might liberate it one of these days.I will put it in with my hens .

Off to catch up pon SKY plus and eat the remainder of my Easter Egg.To be fair its done well to last this long.

JamInMyWellies · 09/05/2009 22:14

Happy Birthday to all the lovely May bubbas.

LG&T I love that cake stuff.

SKy well that could be quite an interesting position.

PJ calm down love.

Charley so glad you have seen your smudge and that all is well sorry you had to go through things so many times.

Scoot take the buggy with you tom Colchester zoo is very very hilly. Its quite a good zoo you can feed the elephants and the new orangatang enc. is fab. Tis not a patch on Whipsnade but pretty good. Oh and take your own food the stuff they sell there is vile.

Spent the afternoon in the pub which was lovely was a friends birthday so we went up to London and met in a pub by Victoria Park forgotten how much I love that park. My dardevil son was climbing up that big helter skleter slide and coming down it the boy has no fear. We are thinking about getting him a climbing frame/slide/swing thing for his birthday.

AprilMeadow · 10/05/2009 04:29

Happy Birthday to Conor for Saturday

Happy birthday to Mathilda. I hope the SOH family have a lovely day celebrating.

LG&T the kitchen is fabulous and i love the wooden cake bits.

Have decided (after looking at the 'strollers' here in Florida) that we are going to get the P&T Vibe in Red&Black for Ella&Lucy. Also going to get the Mazi Cosi car seat that fits it. Getting quite excited now. Am just about 22wks and once past the 'super safe' zone as i like to call 24wks i will start getting baby bits sorted. Am yet to decide on nursery furniture but will probably leave buying it until August as i will need my spare rooms for as long as possible. Bubs is moving LOADS now and am sure is doing cart wheels during the night.

Scoot, hens sound interesting - no way would dh entertain the thought of them Have a fab time at the zoo.

Went to WalMart today and my BIL and dh's cousin bought 7 boxes of lucky charms between them along with numerous boxes of pop tarts in various flavours. Went to 'Florida Mall' as well and hated every minute of it. It was heaving and had too many dodgy looking people hanging round. My friend had her purse pinched there last month and some bitch spent $10k on her credit card within 1 hour!! Dh went to the 'restroom' and saw 2 large thug like men 'waiting' for some poor bastard to come out cubicle. Dh peed very quickly and left them to it.

Themasterandmargaritas · 10/05/2009 05:50

PMSL at the thought of your teeny tiny dh going into a cubicle surrounded by tatoo covered muscle bulging thugs. The present arrived last week with no bother, thanks a million.

Scoot, you are too soft. We love our hens. Will they still lay do you know? They are not much bother (apart from the effort you need to put in to stop the foxes munching them,eh LG&T?) you can give them all sorts of bits of left over food as well. Liberate the camel, send him over here, we saw herds of them last weekend all grazing by the road with one little boy to keep an eye on them, about Lils age That's what you need to do, set her out to work.

Happy Birthday Conor for yesterday. I hope you all had a lovely day.

Happy Birthday to Mathilda. Have a lot of fun and cake.

J is having his birthday today. We are having a tea party and opening his presents this morning. Sadly he won't be getting anything exciting as a) like Scoot our house has more toys than the local playschool b) there is nothing decent to buy here just a load of tat from China that falls apart after 2 seconds. So he is getting some books, more books, a couple of matchbox cars and an old Tesco dishwashing set that I had brought from England when we arrived and forgotten about The other two dc were very excited to see it - see how easily pleased they are nowadays!

Jam how is the sleeping going? We have a climbing frame in the garden and between that and a little Tikes big red car, that is pretty much all that J plays with. Oh and a football.

Tills are you all feeling better? Elkie did dh loose a lot of stuff on his computer?

largeginandtonic · 10/05/2009 08:57

Hens Scoot!!! They are fairly low maintenence IF you have an outside tap and a big garden with neighbours quite a distance from you.

They need to go at the bottom of the garden as they are noisy and wake up very early. They all troop in the coop at the first sign of darkness but not before. If you go out in the evening and have to put them away it is erm challenging.

I did not have an egglu, dh made a coop and then a run as we have foxes here and would have had none left after a few days. The fox would still come in to the garden in the night and try to break in, sometimes it managed to catch one throught the wire I would have to go and chase it off. The noise they make when under attack is terrific! ALL the neighbours would know about it.

We also do not have much lawn and they scrabble around alot so we put chip bark downand turned it over every couple of weeks and added more as needed.

The coop stays quite clean if you have them out all day. I will look for my chicken website for the equipment you need. A huge water feeder is essential as they drink alot.

AM Jam has the vibe dontcha jam? They do this vvery cute peanut shell carrycot that goes on it for when Ella is in nursery and you just have Lucy.

The mall sounds scary! The lucky charms sound yum, i highly recommend Fruit roll ups too All flavours. They do peanut M&S too mmmmmmmmm.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATHILDA!

Happy birthday too to Conor yesterday.

I have been spying on the May thread due this year, it brings back memories Bless them.

B was up at 4... he did go to bed though. Honestly i look like a black bagged old hag. Albeit with new hair >
