Tills I knew it too. Congratulations! How are you going to manage tomorrow at your spa day without letting the cat out of the bag?????!

LG&T Fingers crossed. I had no idea that your bro was going in for tests, what are they testing for?

When are you likely to hear MrsJB?

I am half packed, it's mental. There is enough food to feed half of Kenya. It's amazing how much people eat over 5 days! I hope there are not too many lions around

TYG, Scoot are you both alright? You've gone very quiet....

Tillyscoutsmum · 08/04/2009 14:10

Thanks all (love these easter smileys)

AL - I did feel pregnant but had convinced myself it was all in my head. Its only month 2 of ttc and it took 16 months before we got a BFP when trying for Tilly so I expected to be in for a long wait...

Lots of positive vibes for MrJB and BrotherLG&T....

MmeJaffaB · 08/04/2009 14:12

just checking in for lg&t.....fingers still crossed. xx

SKYTVADDICT · 08/04/2009 16:45

Many congrats Tilly x

Fingers crossed for your brother LG&T x

elkiedee · 08/04/2009 19:29

Congratulations TSM, and as for being month 2, it took me 9 months 1st time round and 1st go with C - I have a friend with the same age gap between babies (21 months) for exactly the same reason, thinking it would take a while and it didn't.

elkiedee · 08/04/2009 19:30

Good luck LG&T

ShowOfHands · 08/04/2009 21:36

LG&T says it's melanoma. Hopefully first stage.

She's mindful of upsetting you MrsJB.

MmeJaffaB · 08/04/2009 21:53

Oh shit lg&tSorry! Thank you for being thoughtful but life carries on even if it sucks!

Thinking of you....xx

Thanks SOH.

elkiedee · 08/04/2009 23:56

Good luck LG&T's brother that should be. Thanks SOH.

Themasterandmargaritas · 09/04/2009 06:30

Oh dear i am so sorry to hear that, LG&T. Hopefully it is first stage and is 'easily' treatable.

SKYTVADDICT · 09/04/2009 07:46

Thinking of you and your family LG&T x

AbbyLou · 09/04/2009 07:58

Oh no LG&T. I'll be thinking of you and your brother and hope it can be treated well.
Tilly, has it sunk in yet?
We are off to sunny Skegness today to see dh's family, we'll be back on Saturday. I don't mind a few days but it will be packed and the weather looks like it's going to be terrible. We'll need plenty of jumpers it's always bloody freezing bracing there!

Tillyscoutsmum · 09/04/2009 08:11

Oh LG&T Will keep everything crossed.

JamInMyWellies · 09/04/2009 08:35

LG&T so sorry

Abby have a fab time in skeg I spent a very memorable re drunken wkend in the butlins camp there once.

TMAM have a great time on safari very

SKY how goes the potty training?

AM am at all the scantily clad ladies just what a pregnant girl needs.

Tilly bloody great news congratulations

Can you tell I like the festive bunnies.

MrsJB hope oyi get a positive result for your DH.

I am quite literally falling apart at the seams here Archie has reached new levels of tantrums the screaming is so bad His only saving grace at the mo is I know he is cutting his canines. He has started at nursery though so am hoping that it helps but who knows. Yesterday I caught him drinking wood floor cleaner then he poured half a bottle of fabric softener all over the floor He is currently eating a crayon. Our house is so babyproofed but he is like the houdinin of cupboard catches. Lachlan is still being a bit of a pain at night but is getting better only prob is he has switched to not sleeping in the daytime have resrted t teh dummy hoping that he will bob off as otherwise my nipples are dropping off at the end of the day. Gawd I am a bundle of fun.

Will be off now sorry for my rambling I know others have much bigger worries.

Have a great Easter everyone and enjoy eating giving your LO's eggs.

AprilMeadow · 09/04/2009 09:21

LG&T so that it wasnt the news that you had all been hoping for. I have my fingers crossed for you all that they have managed to catch it early. Sending you big hugs xx

Abby have a fab time away

Jam we shouldnt ever get A and E together! She scales things! If she cant climb then she will find something that she can drag to climb on - its scary really!

I have been baking since 8.20 this morning I have so far made 72 number 2 cookies for Ella's birthday tomorrow. They smell so yummy - thanks Nigella . Just about to make a white choc cheesecake (the one i learnt to make on my course) and then might attempt choc eclairs.

SKYTVADDICT · 09/04/2009 11:16

I was suppose to be going back to work today - I had forgotten until a friend mentioned it! She said was I sad not be be going!!!

You are so good with all this baking AM.

Have a good time in skeggy AL - we may go Monday but DPs mum is in hospital for tests (has Parkinsons and is going downhill) so we may have to visit her. She is in Boston though so perhaps we may visit her on the way or on the way back.

C isn't too bad with the tantrums but is into everything as well. People keep leaving the stair gate open and I am forever screaching at them to shut it as he just makes a dash for it if it is open!

Potty training ok but we don't seem to be moving on at all! If he is without a nappy in the house he can manage all his business on the potty (for a week now) but when I put pants on him he wees in them! I am going to get some pull ups over the weekend and see how they go. He also did a pooh in his nappy this morning and has another really red rash! Aaargh!

DD2 had a friend over to sleep last night and they were very good but she is here all day today as well. I don't think I could be a childminder after all. Other peoples kids are too much like hard work

largeginandtonic · 09/04/2009 11:42

Morning all, thank you for the kind thoughts yesterday.

I was in bits last night, i didn't hear anything till 430, it was awful waiting. After the phone call i flipped out at dh for some ridiculous phone blip and stomped off, tidied the bedroom, kitchen and put another load of washing on before sitting on my knees by the washing and losing the plot. Luckily dh had just come in to the kitchen and scooped me up. I had just got it together as SOH texted me and said some kind words.

We are hoping it is early stages, they will take it out a week Tuesdayand give him plastic surgery at the same time with skin grafts. It is on his temple.

I just keep thinking i used to change his nappies and put Postman Pat on for him (big age gap) and now my baby brother has to face this He will be having the surgery up here so i will go with him.

Oddly it is the same day i am having my follow up colposcopy from last years abnormal result. In the same hospital though so at least i am near him. I am hoping i don't need anything doing as i will need to drive him back here. MIL was having B that day so i will only have Indie.

I feel terrible for him. When i had not heard anything i phoned my sister in desperation and she had just found out. Moaning about weddings seems small fry now, will shut up about it.

MrsJB how are you doing? I hope i have not upset you. My brother had to wait almost 3 weeks for his results, how long have you been waiting?

Jam i am with you on the nightmare toddler. B reigns supreme, honestly i have never known a child like it. He SCREAMS at us if we say "no", in fact he screams alot of the time just because he loves the sound i think. This morning he was on the stair before 8, he is so naughty. He has learned to turn the taps on and is currently shoving stuff up his nose as his new tricks. I just caught him sticking one of those googly eye things up there yesterday, you know the ones that attach to cards and those odd little furry things that you can buy in gift shops with a label on their ass saying the attraction on them.

He ran off with scissors, buttons, ear phones, cables, my hair dryer, cream, soap, palsticine,a sword (not real) and a lemon all before breakfast > I let him eat the lemon. While we were at mil on Tuesday he ate some shake and vac and febreeze and took a chunk out the dove soap. He climbs on everything, including in to Indies crib, cacoon, and on to the changing table.

He was so dreadful we left Starbucks the other day, dh swings between awe for this clever child and utter bewilderment, i mostly fume

Am looking forward to July when we put them all together!

elkiedee · 09/04/2009 12:20

Sorry to hear about your brother LG&T - I hope they've caught it early and that the surgery is a success. And that your own follow up shows all is well.

JamInMyWellies · 09/04/2009 14:04

Oh LG&T so really hope they will be able to get it whipped out and treated quickly.

Glad to hear that others have equally horrendous children. Have to say I was a bit maudlin about it last night saying to DP that I must be a crap mum because when I nannied none of the kids would have dared behave like A does.

Just been for my smear and had a filling - fun morning. LG&T make sure Indie is 4 months before your smear as I was told by the nurse this morning that after A I had my smear too quickly which is why I prob had a dodgy result meaning I had to have the colposcopy. She said always wait until 4 months post natal.

Pinkjenny · 09/04/2009 16:45

Have a lovely Easter everyone.

charleymouse · 10/04/2009 00:04

Happy Birthday Ella. Hope you have a good day and don?t eat too many of Mummys home made biscuits.

Hello everyone, well whoopee have felt shocking all week, felt sickly, had terrible upset stomach (in fact sat on loo now sorry if TMI). Oh boy what have I let myself in for, have been out and stocked up on the Rennie already. Ho hum.

Hi LG&T official date so far is 7 December, so sorry your brother is facing this, you will help him get through I know. They do move quick with these things though, have everything crossed for you and him.

Abby, thanks for the birthday wishes, I don?t really know where to start with the reading but don?t want to start something that is different to what she will get sown at school. She has some alphabet charts/jigsaws and knows the alphabet but if you could recommend a book or something to get the reading going that would be brill. Hope you are having a nice time at the seaside. We haven?t seen a HV since we moved house so I rang up last week and they have a two year check here but it can be a postal questionnaire but as we are new we will get a visit.

MJB hope you are all okay and DH gets the results you hope for soon. I have to confess I got stuck around the same weight and has taken a gargantuan effort to get under the 12 stone mark. Only to get fat again (at least for the right reasons this time though.) DH has also been dieting/exercising like mad and found that as he was doing so much exercise and calorie counting he was a bit drained and I made him start to eat more and he actually started to lose weight again, I think his body went into panic hoard mode as he wasn?t putting enough in.

Thanks Jam, can?t believe he is 16 weeks already. How is DHs new job has he started it yet? G can tantrum with the best of them, usually when I get him off the top shelf of the larder cupboard when he wants to touch the lights in the ceiling and tell me they are hot. I despair. Ooh jam what a fun morning. Not! You are a great mum other people kids always seem better behaved than your own and they are realistically just as bad.

SKY well done on the potty training, hope Cs bottom is better, can?t even begin to think about it yet, will wait for the warmer weather when we can spend a lot of time outside fertilising the garden. I think that HV leave well alone if they think you can cope and concentrate on those that can?t but you can see how people slip through the net. Hope MIL is okay

TSM was going to say step away from the test but see I am already too late. Well done, will be holding hands on due in December thread. How exciting. PJ can?t make an Easter meet but I can do any day apart from Sunday if you fancy.

TMAM well done on the running, tried to do 3 miles on Sunday and felt crap, but then have had stomach upset ever since. Hope you have a lovely safari and the Easter bunny finds you in the Masai Mara.

AM glad you had a good time at Brands Hatch, is the birthday month where you name comes from? AM you are so not podgy you are blooming and have a perfectly formed, just the right size bump. Oh you were right about the bras as well, I went and spent £73 (don?t you just hate shops that don?t display prices, I fortunately didn?t like the one, one, I tell you (god I would want a boob lift for that price) at £52 so had put it back before she told me the prices.) on two new bras a fortnight ago only to find out I was preggers the week after. Ooh those biccies smell yummy.

SOH, avert your eyes. What did you decide re your weekend away?

Lups hope you are all okay and DH is getting better, belated birthday wishes to Arlen.

Elkie glad to hear everything going okay now.

PJ glad you are back to your maiden name. Happy Easter. Okay why is it Merry for Christmas and Happy for Easter?

MKG is that wee bairn keeping you busy? Hope you get the ?puter fixed soon

TYG hope you are doing okay? Hope your Nan is okay, I remember you saying you have a special bond with her, they are special aren?t they. I do sometimes wonder how my wonderful Nan managed to produce my Mum TBH. She was having the DCs this week for me to help us out with nursery fees, she rang on Sunday and to be fair did sound off it, so I called in nursery and managed to wrangle then sessions for this week after all. DH reckons I should not expect anything then I wouldn?t be disappointed. When I told her about the new baby she told me she thought I was a good Mum then went on to say she thought I would have been more like her, ie, wanted to have kids but prefer to be at work.

Scoot hope you are feeling a bit better. PJ can not make a meetup over Easter but TSM might be up for it. I can do any day except Sunday if you fancy.

Hiya Catcha, Anneme and the rest of you.

Happy Eater Easter everyone think my typo might have been right so have left it, hope the bunny is good to you all. Oh DH told me this morning he didn?t want my plans to go to church on Sunday (?let religion get in the way of the kids Easter?)

JamInMyWellies · 10/04/2009 08:24

Happy Birthday Ella! Our very own Easter bunny.

Tillyscoutsmum · 10/04/2009 08:30

Happy Birthday Ella (and well done AM on all that baking - can I come to the party ?? I need white chocolate cheesecake)

I would love to meet up but can't do Easter weekend either. Am free most other times next week (and beyond !)

Have a lovely Easter everyone
