Just been for 16wk check and heard a lovely heartbeat. Took about 5 minutes to find it - the MW looked a little panicked! Went off found a different machine and then found it within a few seconds - she sighed with relief

SKYTVADDICT · 01/04/2009 15:59

Thats brill news AM. Its horrid when they can't find it isn't it?

I am officially redundant as of today.

I may be able to get this mortgage insurance as my contract didn't specify 15 hours - just 9.00 til 5.30 for two days a week - so I can say I had half an hour for lunch (which I actually did most days anyway). Work is also on side so will say I worked 16 hours when they ring them. Unfortunately to get it I also have to sign on - I have an appointment at the job centre for Friday. Should be an experience. Apparently I have to prove I am looking for work on a weekly basis.

AprilMeadow · 01/04/2009 16:03

TBH i wasnt worried as i had felt the baby move about an hour before i headed off.

Sorry to hear that you are now redundant but also good news that work are on side. Good luck with the JC

MmeJaffaB · 01/04/2009 16:04

Charley, YAY, fan bloodytastic.....wooo hooo! Congratulations and fingers crossed for a smooth ride.

Lovely AM, so very pleased all is well with no,3. I have tbh and tell you I've only done a tiny gifty for them this year for easter, wish I could have done more. Sorry. Ella's b'day and your card are in there too. I am pleased with myself for being organised though. (unlike me)

lg&t, how you feeling today, still screaming? the fighting drives me insane, H and M FIGHT all the time. Grrrrrr, why can't they just all be at peace?

TMAM, well done on the running, you are amazing! I can't imagine running the distance I cycle, it takes me 45/hour to do 20km on wheels. You are going to nail that safari run.

busy wave to everyone.

AprilMeadow · 01/04/2009 16:16

MrsJB - you know you didnt have to do anything! In your parcel are 3 things in boxes for the kids, the 2 not in boxes are for you and A and then there are some small things that you can all share

charleymouse · 01/04/2009 16:35

Just in case deffo not an April fools.

Going between panic stricken and elation at the mo.

Glad all was well April and thanks for call.
Cheers SKY and TMAM.

SKYTVADDICT · 02/04/2009 09:26

Never thought it was an April Fool Charley. Hope it all goes well for you x

Fingers crossed for the others that are ttc.

I have to clean my bathroom this morning and really cannot be bothered. Don't you just hate cleaning bathrooms!

DD1 gone back to school today feeling all better - if a little tired! It must be her age, she cannot get to sleep at night and has to get up at the crack of dawn to get her hair straight and make up on with a trowel before she leaves the house

largeginandtonic · 02/04/2009 09:41

CHARLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so pleased for you

Sky good luck!

AM i can't believe you are 16 weeks already! It is nice to hear them on the doppler

MmeJaffaB · 02/04/2009 09:51

Actually it didn't cross my mind either about it being an April Fool. Glad it's not though.

Sky, Yes, hate too! although i like it after it's done.

AM, thank you, I know I didn't but I like to.

I have a cold, and a cough and a sore chest! I will not stop though. Parents trying to get me to not do aerobics and dancing tonight. Yeah right, I'll sweat it our right?

MmeJaffaB · 02/04/2009 09:54

it out even.

I'm making peanut butter bread this morning. Well actually the bread machine is, I'm just chucking it all in.
I have had 3 atempts at a wholemeal loaf so far, only 1 mildly sucessful one. Thought I'd try something else today.

Pinkjenny · 02/04/2009 10:03

Congratulations Charley, my love. I sent you a FB yesterday, we definitely need to try and meet up over Easter.

No news here. Dh and I had a discussion abotu ttc, and agreed that I have been a little, ahem, OTT, perhaps? So we have decided to just take it as it comes, and see how it goes. No temping, no OPKs and no obsessive charting.

Love to all.

MmeJaffaB · 02/04/2009 10:28

Ahhhh pink, hello, thats why you haven't been on here much, you've been shagging all time you minx. It'll happen, be patient.

Dh and I have also had discussions, OMG!

AprilMeadow · 02/04/2009 11:00

Hey Pink, good idea to just go with the flow.... means that you avoid the 'are you/arent you' text/emails/questions. Fingers crossed for a baby to arrive at some point in 2010

MrsJB!!!! Hang on come and knock some sense into Jaffa, she's talking about no:4!!!

Themasterandmargaritas · 02/04/2009 12:04
AprilMeadow · 02/04/2009 12:07

just spat my drink over the desk!

Themasterandmargaritas · 02/04/2009 12:10

God I've just had a thought, if Mr and MrsJB do end up with no 4, will I be the only one to stop with her May baby??? I feel old.

I'm not counting you SOH, in this equation because I know you will get round to it at some point, I can just imagine a mini Josh, truncheon and all.

Well done Pink for trying to remain calm.

AprilMeadow · 02/04/2009 12:17

LOL TMAM

MrsJB, got your parcel this morning - thank you xx

Pinkjenny · 02/04/2009 12:20

One thing I am not calm about is L's hips. I am crying at my desk. See here

MmeJaffaB · 02/04/2009 12:59

This morning? Gee that was quick, very quick!

, won't be yet but it will be!

AprilMeadow · 02/04/2009 13:46

I know thats what i thought esp as the post mark was only Monday!

Pinkjenny · 02/04/2009 15:49

It's amazing what a bit of retail therapy can sort out. Just gone and bought my gorgeous L some new dresses for the summer. Am feeling very proud mummy (for some reason) today. This should last until I pull up onto the path and see her lying on the hall floor having a tantrum about something or other.

Tillyscoutsmum · 02/04/2009 16:02

Hi all

Charley - congratulations That's lovely news - will keep almost everything crossed for you . Good news about dd's school too

Btw - do you just have a photographic memory, or do you write little notes about what everyone has been up to before you post ? I'm so impressed that you remember everyone

I'm nowhere near as good but....:-

MrsJB -fab news about dn - really happy for you all x
PJ - just chill - its only month 1 ! You don't want to be putting dh's swimmers under too much pressure
Scoot - well done to Mr Scoot

AM - glad all is well with no.3

Elkie - great news on weight gain

LG&T - you are amazing I shout at one - I dread to think how I would even begin to cope with 3 little ones. Hope your dad's letter didn't upset you too much

Charley, PJ etc - can I come on a meet up please if you do one over Easter ? I can get to Chatsworth pretty easily. Let me know

I'm off on a lovely spa day next weekend - can't wait. Tilly is beyond cute and an absolute pain in the arse, in equal measure at the moment.
