FestiveGardenia · 05/12/2008 19:58

Good one!

Am popping off for evening I think. Don't fight among yourselves, now. Or if you do, mop up after yourselves.

poppystocking · 05/12/2008 19:59

Ooh yes, lovely title! Happy Christmas one and all. Offically now feeling Christmassy. Christmas tree tomorrow. 2 year old barely able to sleep in anticipation. Oh what fun we have in store over the next three weeks with her...

Continuing from the last thread, I got my bfp a year ago tomorrow. I wasn't late yet, but was going to be away from DH for a week and we'd agreed we wanted to be together for any bfp after a rather horrible panicky phonecall to him at work after I got my bfp with DD1 in the loo at work (SOOO didn't expect that). Held my breath for a week until we were home and did it again... and here we are a year later with a gorgeous DD2 asleep upstairs.

Although VG, you are the ones with the words, cyteen, what you posted about your wee man is gorgeous. So glad to hear how happy you are after all you've been through. Aren't they wonderful? [sigh]

FestiveGardenia · 05/12/2008 19:59

pf must just tell you this was in car musing aloud "Will we put up the tree this weekend?" and DS1 without looking up from his Match of the Day muttered "Why don't you ask petitfilou when she is putting up hers?"

LOL

dizzyjingles · 05/12/2008 20:00

you've had a good day then poppy!?!

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 05/12/2008 20:02

Have a lovely evening VG. I am awaiting DH with my delivery of Chinese...Yummy, I hope

LOL at DS

I agree with Poppy, lovely words about your DS Cyteen

I can't remember when i got my BFP , but it was before Xmas so a teetotal one it was

I remember sitting round the christmas table when my uncle was worried it was bad luck as there were 13 of us at the table

I was secretly thinking no there's not, there is 14

and used driving as an excuse to not drink so that one was covered

VG hope the party is fantastic, shall have the irn bru and bacon butty waiting on you on Sun morning and LOL at your DS!!!

petitfiloudanceswithreindeers · 05/12/2008 20:20

vg ROFL - please tell him we are putting it up this weekend (which is not like me as I was never allowed to have the tree up until Christmas Eve as a child - but dh is away next week and we've got my sisters over this weekend - excuse excuse excuse )

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 05/12/2008 20:27

I mentioned days of Christmas too [sob] [sob] [sob]

We have just has a slap up meal from M&S chicken Kiev, potato gratin, veg followed by chocolate pud and ice cream. Tempted by more fizzy. We were given some tiny bottles of champers with sipper tops for tonight. thye were fab but only one and I feel slightly woozy. Good thing DD had her feed first and won't need another until 5am.

The house is fantastic but we hadn't realised how much work it would be to get it together. They have take everything even the watersoftner they said was a fitted item. I am so pleased we have splashed out on a decorator it would take us forever to get it looking good.

I only found out on the 16th December about Poppy - with a sneaky test and held out for another day before taking another test with DH. When we move into our new house it will wierdly 1 year since we found out we were going to be parents.

This is an amazing time of year - little did so many of us know last year that we would be sitting here with little ones sleeping upstairs/yelling loudly/burping/farting etc..

cyLENTeeNIGHT · 05/12/2008 20:35

Well said oops

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 05/12/2008 20:42

LOL Dizzy - Yes, good day! Even better now that the DDs are in bed and I'm half a bottle of fizz and green and black's white choc down.

Congratulations Oops. So glad all went through. Dinner sounds lovely too.

dizzyjingles · 05/12/2008 20:55

glad to hear it poppy am still a bit concerned re DD2's cough, if she were a dog I'd be convinced she had kennel cough

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 05/12/2008 20:57

Dizzy you seemed to have passed that cough this direction! I can hear DD coughing in her sleep. No plans for sleep here then.

dizzyjingles · 05/12/2008 20:58

oh noooooooooooo sorry

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 05/12/2008 20:59

tis okay - I've had fizzzzzzy sleep not necessary. Oh lordy what do I do if she wants feeding??? Give her alco-boobie?

poppystocking · 05/12/2008 21:00

Oh no Dizzy. Poor L and poor you. First thing DD1 said when she woke up this morning was that she wondered how your DD2 was. Can't believe it's taken until now to pass on her concern . What has Dr said?

dizzyjingles · 05/12/2008 21:03

oh bless her what a wee gem she is

I didn't take her [bad mummy emoticon] it wasn't there this morning and I thought, ok its going, then its come back with a vengence again this tea time. she keeps coughing as if she is trying to hack something up - sorry if tmi

poppystocking · 05/12/2008 21:08
