buckets what a great day

am sitting eating maltesers watching Strictly - DD2 has fallen asleep on the couch and Dylan was put down at 6pm

internet shopping is the way forward for the rest of the christmas shopping me thinks!!

no1putsantaupthechimney · 06/12/2008 19:01

lol at cc and sazzles i still ended up doing it
ds asleep on my knee after screaming for ten mins as i tried forcing offering boob.
poor man obviously wasnt hungry.

just waiting for dh to finish faffing showering so we can put dc to bed.

shite x factor and wine i think.

no1putsantaupthechimney · 06/12/2008 19:03

dizzy in have been internet browsing most of day
managed a nice walk wi dcs and dog in between

i am looking for a nice outfit for dd for xmas.
i know you like to look too

dizzyjingles · 06/12/2008 19:04

moi? internet shop for the children?
why would you say such a thing?!?!?

no1putsantaupthechimney · 06/12/2008 19:06

wonder how vg party is going on.
has it started yet??

well after a week of nothing, our visitors are back on our cavity wall.

neighbour came round to say it woke her dd up and she was crying and sccared.

it was very loud though.
sazzles how's your mouse diaries going?
how do i know if it is rats or mice??

dizzyjingles · 06/12/2008 19:08

omg, I forgot all about it - I hope it goes swimmingly have promised to have the paracetamol, coffee and bacon butties ready for her in the morning

shitty news about the mice No1

dizzyjingles · 06/12/2008 19:14

No1, over here click on me

understated pretty I think but only goes up to aged 2-3yrs so no use for me

MerrySibhmas · 06/12/2008 19:49

Not caught up on the thread yet, but Cyteen your message about Joe brought a tear to my eye too.

And Dizzy might the bark-like cough be croup? DD1 had it last year and it turned bad v. quickly, and she spent a night in hospital. Might be an idea to keep it in mind just in case.

In the chaos that followed it took me another fortnight to realise I might be pregnant. Realising while DH was paying for all the Christmas wine was a bit of a blow ...

dizzyjingles · 06/12/2008 19:57

its not croup Sibh. I had terrible croup as a child and it took me years to grow out of it so at least I think I remember what it sounded like

Dylan's nose now running too and I think her cough is starting

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 06/12/2008 20:07

Well I survived shopping for the perfect fake Christmas tree with DH and both DCs. I did my very very very best to stay out of the way and let DH look over each and every one at five different stores. When he did ask my opinion I kept it brief as to not lead him in a direction he did not want to go. We of course have completely different tastes. He wanted colored lights. I wanted clear lights. After all the shopping we ended up with a tree that I really like and it has clear lights not color, BONUS. DH is on the floor at this very moment unwrapping and piecing it all together. Reese is watching from her bouncey seat front row box and Kinsley is stomping on the bubble wrap making WAY too much noise. I'm not sure our little living room can handle the size of this tree. Seemed smaller in the warehouse.

Dizzy that is a BEAUTIFUL little dress. I wish I could focus on the girls clothes right now but I'm too busy remodeling. Seems all my cash is earmarked for something house related before it ever reaches the bank these days.

Sazzles your outing tomorrow looks like a lot of fun. We have several caverns around these parts. As a child I was a real life spelunker and even spent a few nights camped out in this cave. Make sure you take pictures.

Buckets your day sounds like it was lovely too. It just so nice to be able to relax with a group of similar folk so the kids can play without judgement.

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 06/12/2008 20:10

Glad you got clear lights TS. IMVHO, coloured lights are wrong on many levels

Lovely caverns BTW, looking forward to meeting Santa tomorrow in his cave grotto

TS it is a lovely dress, mine have got stuff they can wear for christmas but am always happy to be a virtual personal shopper for anyone !!!!

we were meant to go and choose our tree today but with one thing and another didnt manage, dh took DD1 & DD2 out for a walk to let me get on with some stuff at which point Dylan woke up of course!!!

never mind, there's always tomorrow

MerrySibhmas · 06/12/2008 20:15

Glad to hear it Dizzy. Hope she feels better soon.

TS- I love DD1's name -where did it come from, if you don't mind me asking?

Oh, and Buckets, lots of cheers for DS - it sounds like he has achieved an awful lot this year.

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 06/12/2008 20:19

How sad is my Sat night, i have just descaled and sterilised the steriliser

BucketsofReindeerPoo · 06/12/2008 20:27

Doh! Monthly one

OhLittleBitShyOfBethlehem · 06/12/2008 20:29

< grabs ticket to ball, from sazz then looks at clothes she's wearing, sighs and waits for fairy godmother>

Still waiitng

dizzyjingles · 06/12/2008 20:32

ah sod buckets, mine is already hanging up in the kitchen, would've been much more appreciated at half price

sazz if it makes you feel any better I'm just about to carry DD2 upstairs then clean up the kitchen and remove piles of ironing from bed before climbing into it

not exactly rock n roll now is it

BucketsofReindeerPoo · 06/12/2008 20:33

Yeah croup is a bark on every outbreath isn't it, rather than just the cough. Barking on inbreaths of course means call an ambulance.

No1, BEAUTIFUL dresses here. Funky ladieswear too (maybe some BFable tops?) AND it's on the Mumsnet shopping links page.

dizzyjingles · 06/12/2008 20:41

I've seen their stuff before and have possibly even bought some TKMaxx do some of their gear

definately not croup so no 999ing from here thank goodness!
