Yes, Dizzy, doing the drive alone, with just two under 3s for company . Dreading it, but planning a middle of the night start and collapsing at the other end and handing them both over to the loving grandparents. DH not joining us until Christmas Eve .

this may be a little bit incoherent., and probably a bit long...

Me and DP have been looking for rings as Christmas presents for Adam's godparents - fairly simple things with Adam's name engraved on the inside. Anyway, after I went to bed last night, DP carried on looking, and today, just before he went to have a bath, told me to have a look at some v pretty ones he had seen and let him know what I thought. He told me the links were in his bookmarks under Christmas.

So I go and look, and find a number of bookmarks, open them all up, find lots of v pretty plain rings like we'd been talking about...and one link with a ruby and diamond engagement ring on it. I goggled for a bit, heard DP coming downstairs and closed the tab. DP comes running in stark naked, looking a bit stressed, checks out what I'm looking at and tells me not to bother, we'll look at them together later.

So I'm thinking and then I remember that he randomly bought a ring sizing kit a few days ago. I was a bit at that - he said we could meaure my finger to get an idea of what size rings to buy for the godparents.

So now am in a v weird place. Mostly because if he is getting me this ring, I feel a bit sad that I've spoilt the surprise ...but also as is v nice ring, but worried that I'm imagining things, that he bookmarked that site for plain rings as they had nice jewellery and that I'm going to get a pair of slippers for Christmas.

Am v confused...
