get a cosy dressing gown on, won't Jane have a nap? if your living room is childproof, just leave her to it while you lay on the couch

TheLadyEvenstar · 21/11/2008 17:17

So sorry that you have such a rubbish day Inzi - you really are in the wars at the moment. Snuggle up with wine and chocolate.

Can't believe it is coming up to Christmas already - I love Christmas. I still get excited about it!

Have a good weekend Floria!

Dress is lovely LES, not my size which is probably just as well! Not been dressed up for ages mind you - would be nice to go to a party.

Inzi Shannon has been saying no(well, its more like 'nah) while shaiking her head, for quite a while, its quite funny, she doesn't always mean it neither. Dontya know they're turning inrto teenagers loads quicker thesse days ;)

dress is lovely LeS but won't fit me

Stef-i love christmas too-but for some reason, when i think about it, it makes me really thirsty, weird or what!

Oh i've told him to go on the weekend, it made me feel better that he actually said he wouldn't go, thats all i wanted, he's out tonight with his friend but me and my friend went to the pub for tea earlier, so i've had a little bit of social time Although, the half a bottle of wine that i had is probably going to send me to bed early

J2O · 21/11/2008 20:13

oh and Rich knows how important you are to me too, when the £9 rooms for travel lodge came out, he was browsing through them saying, 'are any of them from ......? we could go see them!'

talking of which, whats the chances of a York meet up soon?

J2O · 21/11/2008 20:25

Jules i know it will be too big for ya HUMPH!!!!!!!

Stefka · 21/11/2008 21:02

DH is having a rare Friday night off so we've shared a bottle of vino and it is all very nice!!

Had my appointment with the dietician today. It was challenging, especially in the waiting room as I was certainly the biggest person there which made me feel like a huge lump but my dietitian is very good and wants to sort out some extra support for me which is more than my stupid dr ever did. It's hard work I have to say, years of wonky thinking to sort out here but I have got to do it for my own health and for DS. I don't want him growing up with a weird attitude to food/his body because of me. Right now I can't imagine being free of it all but I have to keep pushing myself.

It would be amazing to do a meet up! Not sure if it is something I could manage or not.

LisaLessLumpy · 22/11/2008 08:54

Name the date and I'll be up for a meet up, as long as DH can babysit

Stefka · 22/11/2008 09:36

was a bit pissed when I posted last night! I always confess all kinds of crap after I have had too much vino!

J2O · 22/11/2008 09:52

lmao Stefka-i was a little tipsy too!
Glad that the dietician was helpful, thats the kind of support you need.

oh-are we doing a meet up without los? that could be good, whos up for it? Or a meet up with los?

Shannon was up from 3am with her teeth, then i couldn't get back to sleep, Rich had texted me 7 bloody times in between me going to sleep and then and he was still out at 4.30am, so i ended up talking to him, p1ss head. Needles to say, i'm pretty tired today, Leonie got Shannon up, and because her nappy had leaked a bit of wee on to her vest-she saw fit to bathe her
hope everyone else slept well..especially FT, hope you had a better night!

TheLadyEvenstar · 22/11/2008 11:00

Hi All xxxxxxxx

Dalrymps · 22/11/2008 11:58

Hey everyone, so much to catch up with!

J20 - Sorry you had a sleepless night, have to say though, it sooooo sweet that Leonie got Shannon up and bathed her awwww . Anytime she want to pop round here she's welcome! Sorry to hear you've been having a tough time with your relationship at the moment, glad you've been able to talk about it, hope it gets sorted out.

Stefka - Glad the dietician is helping you, she/he sounds really good. I'm sure it is difficult to imagine a time when you won't be affected by these isues but I bet there will be a time one day when you realise they don't affect you quite as much as they used to (((hugs)))

Inzi - look like the snow came our way, snowed over night last night and we woke to a winter wonderland ahhh. It's made me feel all christmassy so i'm gonna get my notepad out and start making lists of what I need to get . Sorry you had a stressfull day the other day but the cookies sound good! Oh, and fingers crossed for the ttc-ing, did I mention i'm VERY excited for you??!

I had a bit of a day the other day, not as bad as your though. When I was making Dylans porridge I dropped a pot of honey on the bowl and it flung porridge off the spoon and in to my cup of tea. I then sat down to feed him and eat my breakfast and knocked my toast off the table on to the floor, thankfully it landed lemon curd side up! Then to finish off, I brung Dylan through to the lounge and brought my (now luke warm) tea with me. I forgot about my tea and after a while Dylan made a dash at it and pulle dit off the table and poured the whole cold cup in to my handbag !!!

Cue me emptying handbag, purse etc washing all of it and drying it on radiator , I had to laugh though

Floria - (((big hugs))) so sorry you've been missing so much sleep, I am notoriously rubbish at coping with no sleep so you have my sympathies! Sounds like you're doing a good job of the kitchen, hope you finish soon so your poor hands can recover!

I can't wait till our bathroom and kitchen are finished, thinking it's going to be a while yet, the deadline keeps getting moved. We'll get there eventually!

Strawberry - lol at olly growling, Dylan does shake his head and bats your hands away kung fu style

Alicet - Hope your thumb feels better soon

You were all discussing reigns. As Dylan isn't walking yet (just cruzing) I haven't bought anything like that. My thoughts on it are that if it depends on where we are walking. If we were near a really busy road then I might use them but I also feel it's important for them to listen when you shout stop too so it's a duffucult one. I like the idea of the backpack ones like alice has mentioned so might get one of those.

WWAJC - was it eggheads you might be going on? Dh's brother is going on it too! He might be a reserve though, doesn't know yet. Don't know if he'll be there when you'll be there though...

Mine - How you doing? You finished your current job yet?

Les - the dress is lovely but I need support up top and don't go anywhere glamorous enought to wear it . You mentioned Zachary has 4 teeth, Dylan still only has 2 on the bottom!

Don't know if I mentioned but I went for Dylans check up with the dietician and he's doing ok, still gaining weight VERY slowly though. Has kind of stayed the same for a while and is stuck at 16lb, poor thing, I can wait to get him in his new car seat but it'll be a while yet. Anyway, she prescribed him some new milk, the stuff he's been on had 90cals per 100ml, the new stuff has 150 cals and comes in banana, strawberry and vanilla mmmm!

He's the right length for his age which is good, he's just a slim jim , he's doing do well with his cruzing but we can't get him proper cruzing shoes yet cause they start at a 3 and he's about a 2.5. I'm not as woried about his weight as I used to be, i've finally accepted thats him and we just have to keep making sure he eats what we can get him to

I'm still feeling great, am down to 10mg every other day and 5mg on the days in between, I get headaches when I drop down the dose but not too bad and I just take a paracetamol, I got headaches when I went on th AD's too so it's to be expected.

I was full of energy and motivation yesterday, hovvered the house and put loads of washing in and tidied up. It's so nice to feel like me again

Well, i'm going to go make some lunch (dh working 8-12 so will be back shortly) chat to all you lovely ladies soon x x x

Dalrymps · 22/11/2008 12:06

Wow that was long

Stefka · 22/11/2008 13:20

Lol Dalry - especially at the tea part! Dareh poured my coffee all over the chair the other day.

He bloody won't go to sleep! I have boobed him three times and his dad has given him a shake. I am just leaving him right now as I know he is tired. He's up there making a racket and playing.

Dalrymps · 22/11/2008 13:30

Stefka - Glad we've got leather sofas with all these drinks flying about thats all I can say!

I just have to leave Dylan to settle himself sometimes, he's usually quite good though.

Stefka · 22/11/2008 13:48

I've given up. He's playing away now but we are meant to go to a party at three and he totally needs a sleep. So do I - hang over and nap refusing baby - very bad combo!

Dalrymps · 22/11/2008 14:06

Oh dear, at least he's happy playing Hope the party goes ok and you have fun.

Mine · 22/11/2008 16:04
