Morning all, still off nursery here what a night, DP was out at a dinner/meeting thing so never got back until after 11pm, DD1 never went to sleep until 11ish so I ended up sandwiched between B and DD1 in bed, DP downstairs. She kept waking me up with her coughing but it was better than having to get up to her, DP got up to DD2. So I am shattered again today

You lot are so good at routines it leaves me we have no routine whatsoever, B sleeps when she wants. I have been trying to take her up and settle her after the other two have gone to bed at 8pm though. I cannot do any earlier as DP doesn't get in until at least 6.30pm on a good night, then he has dinner and has a play with the older two, then they start going to bed at 7.30pm by the time you do stories and tucking in it's usually about 8pm.

sweetkitty, let's leave all these organised mums and form a little clique of The Routineless Ones Your day sounds so much like mine, except that DD1 is at school now (living in England, so they start reception at 4).
And that's made sure this'll appear in my Threads You're On now

pigleychez · 04/11/2008 11:29

Abigails not rolling rolling rolling yet.

Sk- sorry your lot are all bunged up. Thanks for the new thread!

Im missing baby club this morning as I have a friend coming round later with her toddler and the house is a tip! - Need to do some major tidying!

Abigail doesnt really have a routine during the day. Sleeps when she wants to.

gillythekid · 04/11/2008 11:52

Think I'm joining the routineless! Nate is really sleepy in the morning at the moment and slept for 90 mins this morning and is back in bed 75 mins later, I don't know what to do with myself!
How are you all doing? I'm feeling better every day and am going to Liverpool for 10 days so will have lots of help.

isaidno · 04/11/2008 12:44

glad you're feeling a bit better gilly x

isaidno · 04/11/2008 12:46

pigley - poppy's not rolling yet either - that's a good thing - i want her to stay still until after the christmas tree has been and gone!! DS2 crawled before 6 mths and he was a nightmare...

Rumpel · 04/11/2008 13:18

Hi All - how apt Calvin rolled for the first time yesterday

SK - it was a picture you posted a while ago 1 of your DDs hair looked quite reddish in it but it must have been the way the light was hitting it. Checked out your FB pics and Bethany looks like she has red hair in the pics? My sympathies re sleep. DD is the same - had me up last night oo as she has s tonking cold - we missed baby club yesterday as they both have the lurgy and I have premenstrual crabbitness and exhaustion!!

MINKUS - still no sleeping through for us either - DD woke Calvin last night - she starts crying and sets him off as he is mega sensitive.

Do those of you with more than 1 DC find that when 1 starts crying it sets the others off or is it just Calvin and my DD wrecking my brain?

TJUICE - you have an amazing social life!

Well have done loads of houswork this morning and had a blther online so must shift me bum and get on with some more. I am trying to get the house done today so I can spend tomorrow listing things on ebay. It is very time comsumming but great when yo get those extra pennies in.

DISNEY - have not heard from you for a while are you okay?

Put new piccies on FB at last.

xxxxx

sweetkitty · 04/11/2008 13:27

Rumpel - your pictures are lovely Calvin is gorgeous (as is your DD) I think B has a tiny bit of red in her hair but I remember DD1 had as well but now she is mousey brown as we say up here. B is lying in her swing right now trying to batter her toys, she's never in the same place you leave her in always rolling and moving about. Did C start crying when he rolled over? B does it all the time rolls over then gets stuck lies face down with the wee arms and legs going mad like she's trying to go somewhere but can't, must be frustrating. Am about to put her in the door bouncer for a bit but have to stay with her think the other two would swing her. I think B is so used to DD2's mega tantrums she doesn't bat an eyelid when she kicks off.

Don't worry those that aren't rolling yet they soon will be our next thread will probably be sitting up, eating and crawling very scary.

B is 16 weeks today, 16 weeks I mean how did that happen? Where was I?

gilly - good to see you and you seem a bit better today, I think new babies are like rollercoasters so up and down.

Rumpel · 04/11/2008 16:07

SK - C ROLLED FROM FRONT TO BACK - HE HAS NOT DONE THE OPPOSIYE AS YET. DOES NOT LIKE BEING ON HIS TUM THOUGH. DD IS ACTUALLY NOT AS PRETTY IN THOSE PHOTOS AS SHE IS IN RL. SHE HAS BEAU
TIFUL BIG EYES. I KNOW 16 WEEKS - JUST THINK HOW MISERABLE WE WERE WHEN WE WERE 16WKS PREGGERS!!!!

AM OFF TO BATH EM NOW.XXX

DonutMum · 04/11/2008 16:22

Hi all, nice new thread.

Logan can roll back to front and think he might be an early crawler. He's in bed now it's 7.15 here and DH putting the two monsters to bed. Weighed L today and he's 6.7kg. Not bad eh?

Right, off to watch the US election coverage. Fingers crossed for Obama.

ponto · 04/11/2008 16:39

Hi all, my internet has been playing up again (anyone else find TalkTalk rubbish?)

Re rolling, Bryony has rolled front to back a few times, including nearly off the bed this morning - I just caught her arm in time! She can't get from her back to her front yet, she gets stuck on her side.

I am having sleep problems again at the moment - B has started waking around midnight, just as I'm going to bed, so she ends up coming in bed with me to feed, as I can't be bothered staying up to feed her then put her back in her crib. So she's then in bed with me all night, wakes every couple of hours and wants to suck the whole time. I do sleep fairly well despite this, but I can't work out why she seems to have gone backwards - she was sleeping 8-5.30 in her crib a couple of weeks ago. Anyone else have this? I suppose it could be a growth spurt, but I don't want her to get into the habit of only sleeping with my nipple in her mouth! The only thing I've changed recently is she's no longer having the Gaviscon for reflux. But even before she started taking it, she didn't wake much at night, the problem was more being unsettled during the day, and she's much better now. Once again I have no idea what's going on despite this being my 3rd baby .

I want to see all these facebook pictures - you will all be getting friend requests from me shortly

JODIEhadababy · 04/11/2008 17:10

Just been looking at Facebook, rumpel pigley and SK Your piccies are lovely, and my god pigley she is your mini me!!!!!

Libra1975 · 04/11/2008 19:30

Does anyone else nearly cry everytime the ad advert for the NSPCC comes on?

A not rolling yet.

MinnieMummy · 04/11/2008 19:31

Hello all, will try to post more regularly on this new thread, I keep getting lost in the Chat/AIBU threads and being a bit shocked at what some people say to each other!

No rolling here - but like her big brother P doesn't like being on her front very much at all, which seems strange when she has held her head well from an early age.

Also no routine here - people keep asking when she is 'due' for a feed or a sleep - I just say 'when she wants'! - but I'm not remotely fussed as I found DS's routine quite confining in the end. Basically as long as she continues to sleep through the night I don't mind what she does in the day.

Dreamt last night I was pg again and it was due on P's birthday! Scary! (I'm not btw!)

DS's 2nd birthday tomorrow, we went to the miniature village in Beaconsfield last weekend, there are some pics on FB if anyone is interested.

TJuice · 04/11/2008 20:51

Elodie is not rolling yet either. i think its her tummy getting in the way! I saw a little skinny slip of a baby, only 3 months old, rolling all over the place at mum & baby yoga the other day.

I took her with me to my coffee/meeting with my boss today. She was so good, just sat on my lap, staring at him. They are really chilled - they want me to come back but my replacement could also stay on for a month or two longer, so no worries if the nursery place doesn't come up in time. My dh is planning to take 3 months of paternity though. He thinks it will be really chilled and that he can play his playstation! How deluded . . .

rumpel - like the pics, he's a cutie. very well-dressed too.

shortshafe · 04/11/2008 21:51

Hi all,

Isaac not rolling yet - am glad as I like knowing where he is!

LIBRA - it's the great ormond st hosp advert that sends me over the edge, DH has to turn it off! I'm still blaming hormones .

SK - were you asking about the P&T on the old thread? Isaac has been in the bottom seat in 2 toddler mode for about a month - since 10 weeks ish, he seems quite comfy with his blanket tucked around him, sleeps well in it anyway.

NotanOtter · 04/11/2008 21:53

omg my baby is no where near rolling!

think he is starving though started to wake up for dream feed! and then wake earlier in the morning

must check out all your pics!

sweetkitty · 04/11/2008 21:58

B can only roll back to front, she is a wee agile thing, you should have seen her in the door bouncer today she hasn't got the strength to bounce proper but she whirls around in it wee legs going ten to the dozen. Then she's looking up at her big sisters giggling away she looks so ickle though.

Am of these chilled out sleeping at night babies on here I guess I just don't make laid back ones. B was sitting on the sofa following me around the room shouting at me!

Tjuice - love DH and the playstation as if especially once Elodie starts crawling. Paternity leave sounds great I think this country should encourage it too.

minniemummy - Happy birthday to DS for tomorrow

ponto - have added you on FB, don't even start me on talktalk I think the 4 month growth spurt has kicked in here as well we are up an average of 2-3 times in the night too

Right best be off see what kind of night we are in for tonight.

How do you know where to go!!! I ended up trawling through all active till i saw minkus's name and then followed that!!! Please dont leave me behind!!!

Does everyone know where to go? Why change it? Also has anyone heard from Disney?? How's she doing?

sweetkitty · 04/11/2008 22:28

calm down smudge

your OK your here now

threads I'm on only lasts 3 days I think

just look for July 2008, we have to start a new thread when the old one gets to 1000 posts as you can't post new messages

OP posts:
Poledra · 04/11/2008 22:31

Smudge123, we have to start a new one when we reach the thread limit, which is 1000 messages. The way to keep hold of the threads (as it were) is to add them to your Watch list by clicking on 'Watch this thread' at the top. HTH

And no, Disney hasn't been around for a while.

Minkus · 04/11/2008 22:36

Thanks P

Well don all the rollers! Rumpel we're not getting much sleep still either. It's such a sock to the system as ds1 was quite good at night, I certainly never felt as spaced out as I do at the mo. I must stop comparing the two but it's so hard when I keep thinking "But L WHY are you doing that? Your big brother never did!"

Re: routines, we have one of sorts- L needs to sleep about 2 hours after last waking, and feeds every 2.5-3 hours during the day. But this is hugely variable so basically he just sleeps when he wants and eats when he wants! For the last week though I have been doing a really strict bath boob bed thing from 6.30pm, and although for the first few nights he went off like a dream in his moses basket, last night and tonight have been screaming sessions- guess he knows what's coming now and doesn't like it! Before this, we weren't bathing him at bed time and I would feed him lying on our bed, where he went to sleep quite happily. So not sure now why I've bothered doing bathtime/putting him in his own bed as it's just causing heartache for the two of us!

V tired here, just off to bed now. Night night all!

smudge123 · 04/11/2008 22:42

Aha, added to watch list! lol

Am breathing more calmly order has been restored!!!

I do hope disney is ok.

Jack rolled over a while ago, but then stopped and didnt attempt it for ages. However he has in the last few days decided he may as well continue with it, seems that tummy time got boring!!
Well, he is now 10 times more mischievous then before!!! You put him one place, go to pick up your tea and he's half way across the room!!!
Also during the night, even in a grobag he manages to do a 180 and get legs stuck through cot bars and head wedged on the other side!!! Still at least he's got a hobby (driving me insane wondering 'did i put you there??)
