Hello

Natty, hope you are ok, sounds like you have a kit on your plate.

Storm, sorry to hear about your friend's LO. Very sad.

So, why am I posting here on a saturday morning at 5.15? Am I actually on a beach in the Indian Ocean, just waking up to beautiful weather and crystal clear waters. No, I am in fact just stressed at how much I have to do!

Went to volunteer putting out stuff for the NCT sale last night and didn't realise that there was no fucking early shopping, which is really the only reason any of us gives up 4 hours of our fecking Friday night. Instead I've got to go at 9am if I want to get some early shopping in. Lcy is coming tomorrow morning also to go to the NCT sale so I have to go at 9, come back by 10, pick her up and take her there. She is staying till after lunch. Me or DH has to go shopping as we have no lunch stuff. I still haven't finished my dad's scarf and his birthday is wednesday. Tonight I have to go to a friend's community art project exhibition, tomorrow I am meeting the people for the new roller derby team, then go to a work colleagues house, who I don't know, with other colleagues who I dont know for a writing gathering.

Phew! So I know it is all self induced and my own fault for thinking I can write a novel in 30 day and lead a normal existence. But I am very stressed today and when I saw it was 5am and I was awake, instead of being cross I was actually quite chuffed at being awake for an early morning so I can get some writing done! But I am going to be knackered!

Hope you are all ok.

Anyone heard from Fury recently?

morning

I think the idea of books or a picture or something is lovely storm, and I don't see why it would be weird for the sister to choose. or maybe something more

educatingRia · 15/11/2008 10:07

I think DS1 and Dniece were on the telly daisy. I was in a very dark corner near the fire exit and the toilets Had to stay up til nearly 2am drinking wine with DH to get over going out. Am knackered today (mainly because DS2 decided 2am was a good time for a paddy)
Can't be bothered today. I really don't liek going out, it upsets me for days afterwards.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 15/11/2008 12:37

I had also wondered about a memorial tree of shrub for your friend's DD Storm. But I guess it depends on whether you know other people who could contribute if it's more than you can mange yourselves?

We were out this morning, and then I went to a 2nd hand sale and got a load of bargains for jamlet, some for now and some to keep for Christmas. I got her 2 grobags, 2 pairs jeans, 8 books, a puzzle, and 4 toy cars, all for £17. One of the books is a little damaged, but everything else is in good condition.

LackaDAISYcal · 15/11/2008 13:40

Went to bed at 9.30 last night Ria so didn't watch any more of Children in Need.

The young man was up feeding for 20 mins every two hours till 3, when he cluster fed until 6, slept till 7.30, fed again then finally went down at 8 and slept till just after 12. fortunately so did I so I don't feel too bad now, but only seeing 9 hours of the day is shite!

I need to turn his feeding round so he cluster feeds all evening and sleeps for a big chunk of the night, but no ideas how to do this!

We are off to a fireworks party tonight.....it was postponed from last week due to sickness which I'm glad of (the postponement, not my friends DSs sickness!) as I feel more able to be a good guest this week than last!

Arse about the NCT sale bumper......and bloody hell you sound busy! I'm knackered just thinking about all of that. Has DH started his new job yet? Say Hi to Lcy from me

I was wondering about your DH as well Natty? Did they get to the bottom of it? (no pun intended!!)

some good ideas for storm's friends there Ria. I think getting her sister to help choose the books would be a good idea as well, if she feels up to it. It might be a bit difficult for her at the minute, but perhaps in a few months? The cup idea is good as well, maybe a yearly poetry or reading competition or something like that, relating to something she was good at or enjoyed?

educatingRia · 15/11/2008 16:09

bloody weekends. DH had a nice snooze in Tesco carpark while I struggled shopped with the boys. I made my feelings known though. Have a bloody flat tyre too.
baggins has just had a major strop.
Am glad it's easy pizza for tea.
of your bargains jammy. I only had time for 2 charity shops on the way to Tesco, the boys bought 3 stargate videos for DH for xmas.
Tesco have 20% off clothing and half price xmas lights.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 15/11/2008 16:27

Bumper, I should have commented earlier, but yes - wow what a busy bee you are! Don't overdo it mind or you'll regret it later.

Significant event here today, but not the sort of thing to share with just anyone. But you guys are special. I got my 1st period since Oct 2006! Not sure whether to be or

NattyTomAndEllen · 15/11/2008 19:15

dasiy and storm.
waiting on the last scan to check, but hospital fairly certain that kidney will have to come out. im sure i posted when we found out but maybe it was during our month away when we had no internet.
downside is nhs waiting list is about 6months, so he has to put up with excruciating pain in the mean time. bloody nhs.

well done u getting that book done tho bumper, even if u sound exhausted! it a great achievement i think!

daisy i hope F feeding sorts itself out, i know how exhausting it can be, ellen was awful for feeding all night long and sleeping a bit more in the mornings, unfortuanatly thats when thomas would wake and id be up with him till 12 when ellen would then wake just as tom when down for a nap!!! kids!
