Hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Sputnik · 28/10/2008 22:02

Funny, I remember posting on here when I was pg that I would be happy to be handed a 2 year old.

But Baby Sputnik has been gorgeous and I have enjoyed his babyhood, partly because I think it is easier 2nd time around, plus he is easier going generally, and I know he will be my last s I'm kind of savouring it.

RiallyEeRiaee · 28/10/2008 22:03

fair enough bumper. I wouldn't eat it either.

TALLULAHBELLE · 28/10/2008 22:04

Am finding work exhausting Sputnik - mainly the stairs & being on my feet all day & of course 26, 9-10 year olds can tend to wear the old patience a bit thin. Just don't have the energy or enthusiasm for it at the minute. But have cunning plan to go on the sick soon so get few weeks rest before leave starts. TBH my health is shocking & GP has already told me I shouldn't be working so fair do's.

Sputnik · 28/10/2008 22:05

My DD still needs me to go to sleep too Ria. But usually it's very quick so that doesn't bother me. Should really get around to weaning her off it I suppose.

Right, I'm off too, night all

RiallyEeRiaee · 28/10/2008 22:05

baggins has been lovely too. Maybe it's just easier as you get used to it. Keep us posted daisy!

My lovely DH brought me a stack of xmas catalogues from town (but not Boots). And we are watching The Holiday (again). It's nearly November.. he knows me well

RiallyEeRiaee · 28/10/2008 22:06

night sputnik. hope you don't get called to the rescue tonight and DHs trip goes without a hitch.

Sputnik · 28/10/2008 22:08

Sounds like a very reasonable plan to me Tallulah! Take it easy won't you

Right, really off now.

TALLULAHBELLE · 28/10/2008 22:09

Off to bed too - night all

RiallyEeRiaee · 28/10/2008 22:17

me too, night night.

RiallyEeRiaee · 28/10/2008 22:18

bollocks, the sound has just gone on our DVD player. Arse.
hoping tomorrow is better (with no snow cos the GPs are taking DS1&2 out...)

LittleMissNorty · 29/10/2008 08:30

Blimey......disappear for a couple of days and it all happens....well except Daisy of course

Congratulations JBM.....very sticky vibes for you. Clexane injections are horrible, but worth putting up with....and the bruises do go. I had them 6 hourly after DD was born.

Trace - sorry things haven't gone so well with C....you are doing an amazing job. Hopefully she will start to put on some weight now. By the varying weights of all the LOs on here, 16lb isn't too bad....all the girls on here definately seem to be smaller. My DD is about 22-23lb and needs the legs / sleeves rolling up of everything she wears.

Jammy - what a shit about DHs work....At least he will get something from the government....can he do agency work at all?

DD still got diarrhoea . DH took yesterday off work (for the first time since we've had her) and looked after her on his own - he done absolutely fine - but was knackered when I got in. I found it quite difficult though (the not being in control bit)....need to get myself back to the doctors . As she has been stuck in the house doing boring things since Saturday, she was up at 5.30am this morning (a new one on me)! She's obviously not doing enough during the day....but she's no energy...a catch 22 situation I think.

Hope DHs operation goes ok today Elvira.

Ria - hows DS2? Is he on ABs?

Sure I've forgotten something............

LackaDAISYcal · 29/10/2008 08:39

morning norty. sorry to hear DD is still poorly. It took Em ages to get rid of her runny bottom. I eventually got her some actimel and that seemed to help a little bit.

I tried the ole evening primrose oil last night, but nothing doing, infact things have gone much quieter all round. I suppose I shouldn't be too concerned as I'm still a week away from my due date. Have got to decide when I call it a day on going nto labour naturally and opt for a section. I'm thinking next Friday sounds good

LittleMissNorty · 29/10/2008 08:50

could go another 3 weeks yet Daisy? ...

Out of interest Daisy, what do you do re ADs....have you had to drop your dose, or change when DS is born? I'm still bloody waiting for my referral and am feeling worse and worse again. DH is collecting a prescription for me today hopefully as I can't get out of the house for exploding bottoms . Not even sure I will get to my AN appointment tomorrow.

Never thought of actimel....good idea. Yogurt is the ONLY thing I can reliably get down her - even a biscuit is only nibbled before being given to the dog

LackaDAISYcal · 29/10/2008 08:56

I've halved my dose of fluoxetine so am only taking it every other day. I feel fine generally, just having the odd bad day (but strangely enough not had one of those since DH has been here for nearly a week!!). then I have a prescription for sertraline which I've to start the day after the baby is born.

Not quite confident enough to go cold turkey, and we don't know what'll happen after the baby is born, but I'm going to try and come off them as soon as practicable.

My psych has been great; he will come out and do a home visit once I've had the baby and we'll see how things go from there.

Can't believe you haven't had your referral yet . You wouldn't want to be really ill would you?

LittleMissNorty · 29/10/2008 09:02

That's interesting - thanks for sharing that Daisy. I have no idea what to do as I get further along and my GP has done enough repeat prescriptions that I don't need to go back and see her until after DC2 is here .

I give up with the medical profession round here, I really do. I'm coming to the end of my counselling sessions as well and I just don't know what to do....I feel I'm not getting support from anywhere (professional anyway).

I work for the bloody NHS....makes me very ...

sorry. Bit of a rant there....must go and do some work while DD is asleep...

morning all. sorry your DD isn't better norty. DS2 is on ABs (got in to the the GP 5 mins after ringing, I only wanted to make a "just in case" appt for today) he seems a little better but wet the bed (while I was in it with him). It is a surprise that they are going out with their GPs this afternoon, but he doesn't want to leave the housein case he sees a policeman

Itis a bugger about your referral, when I was PG with baggins they were really keen on dealing with AND (though the CPN was a witch and was not impressed I took baggins to my appts). I am more or less coping during the day atm but my nightmares are back.

now daisy, I might be making this up, but don't things sometimes go quiet just before kick off???

Good luck to yourDH Elvira.

RiallyEeRiaee · 29/10/2008 09:07

him being a man and all you'll be wrong whatever you decide Elvira!I haven't ever visited DH in hospital, but that's cos it's a million miles away in a different county etc. And I think he likes the peace and the attention from the nurses!

LackaDAISYcal · 29/10/2008 09:11

la la la I'm not listening.

One of my November bussied is in labour. IT's very exciting as although we have five babies so far, one was an infrequent poster and the other four were sections. this is the first "this is it" baby .

LackaDAISYcal · 29/10/2008 09:11

bussied buddies

RiallyEeRiaee · 29/10/2008 09:15

DH is out catering a wedding today. And the sodding BT vision box isn't working and seems to have buggered the VHS aswell. So I'm in sole control of the boys. Ohhow I miss Cbeebies

must get off arse and do something ... DS1s friend is coming at 10 to take the pumpkins to the comp. Would be an idea to get dressed.

Would you believe I have no takers for my Autumn Party!!!

RiallyEeRiaee · 29/10/2008 11:20
