Hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LittleMissNorty · 12/11/2008 21:06

if you do accept an offer, it can only be done outside of e0bay as you will need to end your listing.....means no final value fee....but no protection either....for either of you. Really depends on how you feel....you could end listing, relist as a buy it now and get them to cover all your fees if you want to accept their offer and still have ebay protection IYSWIM

educatingRia · 12/11/2008 21:09

that's what I thought, thanks norty.

LittleMissNorty · 12/11/2008 21:11

if its a good offer its worth all the hassle, but usually they're taking the piss imo....always worth looking around e-bay to see how much similar things are going for.

Sputnik · 12/11/2008 21:12

Wow that was quick! You are very welcome Bumper Maybe your DD will grow into it before the end of the winter, I tend to forget I have massive babies! Try the dress anyway as I found it small.
We got 2 year's wear out of that cardigan, I have to say I like their kids stuff and it's usually very good quality. Strictly in the sales though! From what I read on here the town hall sales are not for the faint hearted.

Glad your getting into the swing of things Daisy, lol potato is one of my nicknames for Baby Sputnik.

He seems none the worse for his adventures of yesterday but the splint thing they put was already coming off by mid morning. I had thought they were being rather optimistic when they said I could remove it in a couple of weeks. I tried taping it on again but he removed that too, so I might leave it, they had said at first they wouldn't put anything and it was only for protection, it's only the very tip broken and doesn't need actual support. I will see how he goes.

LittleMissNorty · 12/11/2008 21:12

So....you play the cornet then Ria? I always wanted to learn the clarinet....but never got around to it

educatingRia · 12/11/2008 21:22

I had to give up the cornet because I had braces on my teeth, so I played the tenor horn (badly), my oldest sister played the cornet and the middle one the flugal horn. If Brassed Off wasn't so fecking depressing it would be my favourite film ever. Don't play anymore, sometimes I wish I did.

LittleMissNorty · 12/11/2008 21:28

Oh I love that film....one of my faves...

When I worked in London, I nearly went to adult ed to learn clarinet as at the local college you could hire instruments (way out of my price league to buy one)....my dream was always to play in an orchestra....I really regret not doing it now....would be a fab hobby. Learnt recorder, piano etc as a kid and done music theory exams, so not impossible but alas, too late I think....

Sputnik · 12/11/2008 21:36

Does anyone remember Vio?

LackaDAISYcal · 12/11/2008 21:45

thanks for that link Sputnik. what fantastic news

educatingRia · 12/11/2008 21:46

NEVER too late norty. I might take it up again when the DCs are bigger, just difficult because rehersal times and most concerts are on Sundays when DH at work. I am not very disciplined though.
I would love it if one of the boys played, but as DS1 pointed out on SUnday (the band played at church), he is hopefully having guitar lessons at school (parents have to pay now, in my day it was free, so I did guitar, horn and trombone for a while) he doesn't want to cost me any more money. (hmm, doesn't stop him wanting a sweat-top from his tennis lessons £24, and complaining about his trainers)

I refused the offer but said I would list with buy it now if they wanted it quickly. I can't get bad feedback for that can I? I will probably not get as much as the offer (only a couple of quid though so not a killing matter)

LackaDAISYcal · 12/11/2008 21:46

Norty, it's never too late.

My 40th year challenge is to learn to play the guitar; I'm going to get lessons and everything!!

educatingRia · 12/11/2008 21:53

daisy, do you know when the Green & Blacks offer ended in Tesco? Didn't think of DH

LittleMissNorty · 12/11/2008 21:55

Blimey Daisy....that's brave with 3 DCs and all...I tried to learn the guitar when I was a kid but my teacher said I had to have short nails on one hand and long on the other and my podgy little fingers couldn't reach round to do the cords (I can only just reach an octave on the piano).I'd really love to do it, but don't know if the opportunity even exists round here....if my fingers would reach...or if I can still read music....

Blimey, I'm 40 in a couple of weeks and dreading it.....mind you I remember feeling like this when I turned 30 (went and got my oil of ulay ....

That is such fab news about Vio ...had made my day

LackaDAISYcal · 12/11/2008 22:08

It said while stocks last Ria, but they had plenty in our local store.

gotta go.....the milk muncher needs me!

educatingRia · 12/11/2008 22:18

one handed typing daisy

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 12/11/2008 22:32

Aaaargghh. I've only just finished work. Should have done so at 9, but the blinking thing just wouldn't go right and I wanted to get it done. Right PITA it was!!! Off now for drink, cake and bed.

LackaDAISYcal · 12/11/2008 22:32

No can do, he needs constant tickling to stay on the boob!

He is now groaning with trapped wind poor mite.

Off to get some kip before my night shift.

Sputnik · 12/11/2008 22:45

Awww, cute, I used to do that with both mine.

I am just trying to think of some kind of Heath Robinson device to tickle baby's feet while you type. Or you could get your DH to do it, no?

LackaDAISYcal · 12/11/2008 22:52

lol sputnik; I think he wants to doscourage my MNetting, not encourage it

right am defo off this time; junior decided he hadn't finished yet and wanted some more!

educatingRia · 12/11/2008 22:55

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. It can't happen.

morning

bloody knackered. Have been sleeping upright all night with a small boy clamped to my boob. Drifting in and out of consciousness, head lolling; you know the drill . then he was awake and feeding voraciously from 6.30 to about 9.30. He needs to stay asleep for hours now, I'm all milked out!

misdee had her baby this morning......second stage recorded as 7 minutes

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/11/2008 11:20

Wow!!!! 7 minutes, knocks my short stretch into a hat!

But I just wanted to say

FrazzledFairyFay · 13/11/2008 12:23

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jammy
