He is deeeeeelicious bumper , but strangely starting to look like Mini-me from the Austin Powers films . DH took a lovely photo of him; at the top of my profile.

I think my stitches are starting to dissolve as it feels very tight and sore down there. Never having had stitches in my foof before; does this sound about right? I'm absolutely terrified of infection. The left side of my bits feels pretty tender still with pain in my buttock as well. I take it this is all normal? And after walking around for a good few hours today I was pretty sore.

But I was out driving; would never have achieved that if I'd had a section

NattyTomAndEllen · 11/11/2008 22:13

hey guys!
well done daisy, thats exactly how i felt after my vbac, and well done you!
the bad news im afraid is stitches downstairs take longer to heal, so dont expect them to feel like ur section scar did this many days after the op. however yours sounds like they are healing well, and im very pleased for you!
and not to mch walking tsk tsk.. take it easy.

ive had a reasonable day today.
other than the fact when i got back today i found a note form tv license saying that they had called round today to see if we had a telly! ive only been here a few weeks, and maybe i havent transfered over my license yet, but i DO have one, so thye can stick it up their bums! about £1000 fine this close to xmas! piss off im really annoyed cos i know ppl that have got away without one for years. me three weeks.. and they on my doorstep!

NattyTomAndEllen · 11/11/2008 22:14

that was meant to be reasuring daisy, i wasnt trying to worry you...

lol natty.....considering myself reassured

We always get caught up with by the TV license people really quickly as well, and we pay by direct debit!!

Oh, and DD got on well at the podiatrist; her toes are fine (tis a natural thing and will strengthen as she gets more mobile) and she doesn't need a follow up appointment.

NattyTomAndEllen · 11/11/2008 22:28

thats brill daisy good for DD..
.. oh and glad u "understood" what i was trying to say, sometimes things in text sound nothing like im trying to say in person!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 12/11/2008 07:16

SECRET SANTA UPDATE!!!!!!!

Natty has expressed an interest in joining in. Unfortunately for Natty, the draw has already been done (btw DH confesses he didn't actually use his in the end - boring!), so we need more participants to join Natty. So if Natty and anyone else who wants to join in can send me their name & address via facebook or email I will swap them around. I guess we need another deadline for getting those names - so how about Mon Nov 24th? And sorry if anyone has been disappointed by missing the earlier round, but there was a wish to do it early as a few of us are making home made gifts and wanted time to get crafting! But it's not too late (and gifts don't have to be home made so don't fret) - there is still time to get involved and join Natty in SS Round 2.

Been out at the children's centre this morning while DH has the first company meeting in our dining room. Yes, they are going ahead with setting up their own company, and 3 of them will be working from our house! He is still going ahead with interviews though, as it's unsure how the new company will work out and it's good experience if nothing else.

Madam (jamlet) was a right pain all morning. We had a broken night and an early start, then she got woken from her nap by DH's colleagues arriving, so was a bit tired and grumpy. We ended up leaving the children's centre early as I was fed up keep telling her off

educatingRia · 12/11/2008 12:54

Good luck to Mr Jammy with his new venture (is it a relief to know he doesn't have a possible sideline in his amazing performing ... ahem???)

DH is in a good mood today. He let me lie in and got the kids to school without shouting once. unfortunately I didn't feel like a lie in after a quick snooze between 7.30 & 8am, so go tup and cleaned the bathroom. considering I spent the night sandwiched between DS2 & baggins I didn't have such a bad night.

The sun is even shining. I wonder when it will start to go horribly wrong.

Hey BZ...where have you been hiding out?

come back and talk to us, we miss you

LackaDAISYcal · 12/11/2008 15:18

oooh, meant to say ealrier; had the young fella weighed at lunchtime.......he's only gone and out on 9.5ozs since Friday and is above his birth weight already . Obviously his less than optimum latch isn't causing him any ishoos!!

He has been asleep since 11.30 as well, and only vaguely woke up when the MW weighed him then went straight back to sleep.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 12/11/2008 16:30

Three (quiet don't want to wake him!) cheers for F!!!

LackaDAISYcal · 12/11/2008 17:07

s'alright jammy, he was awake and feeding again by the time you posted.

He is still very windy, and likes to be awake half the night, but all in all not a bad little spud

Bumperlicious · 12/11/2008 17:47

Just popping in to say a huuuuge thanks to Sputnik, she sent me her back up of baby Einstein that I had requested, plus a couple of other DVDs and some clothes that her DD has grown out of. Thank you so much! The clothes are gorgeous and will last her for ages as she's not in 18-24mo stuff yet. That's so nice of you Sorry I didn't email, but I'm not sure if the email I have is up to date.

I'm lucky I got the parcel given my hassles with the fecking post office and they couldn't even find it when DH went to collected as they had filled it under our house name rather than surname.

We got a free BLW book through the post today too, complete with pics of DD. Makes me feel less sad that we are having to miss the book launch on saturday as Lcy is coming down.

Oh, where are you all?

I just had to tell you how funny my DH is. There is a Boden Clearance sale apparently at the town hall near us next week. I was taking a day off anyway so I'm going to go along to it. I've never even really seen boden clothes before, only ever heard of it on here. But sounds like it's worth going to (anyone want me to look out for anything in particular? Not sure what it's going to be like). Anyway, I told DH I would go leaving him with DD. Well, we got these clothes through from sputnik (a dress, a top and a lovely mini boden cardi) and no-one was more impressed than DH, he said "Oh, I might have to come with you to this Boden sale now." Honestly, he is going to be the one taking DD round topshop in 14 years time going, "no dear, Boho is so 2006, why not try these Leopard print tights with that skirt"!

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 12/11/2008 20:40

bumper.

My DHs idea of sartirial elegance is dressing DD in in pyjama tops with sparkly tights!

LittleMissNorty · 12/11/2008 20:51

I have to hang DDs clothes in "outfits" together for DH otherwise he just stares in the wardrobe.

when I was in hospital with gall bladder, she came in still in jammies....

educatingRia · 12/11/2008 20:54

DH doesn't get when something is part of a set. Sets are even in a separate drawer. No way would he go to a Boden sale.

I am a bit tonight, walked home from school a different way to find that the house opposite my grans was empty, and after asking around quizzing the woman in the chemist I found out the old chap died in September. I am gutted I didn't know and missed the funeral. He gave me my first cornet (instrument) when I was little. It has really knocked me sidewides.

educatingRia · 12/11/2008 20:56

sideways obviously.

Also did DS2s first parents eve (a rush job cos I didn't send the form back so had to beg for a left-over appt). He is almost a model pupil. Bless him. I nearly cried. Especially with his picture of us putting flowers at my Grans grave at the cemetry in his "what I did at the weekend" book.

educatingRia · 12/11/2008 20:56

x-post there norty

educatingRia · 12/11/2008 21:02

norty?? you still here? I have an ebay question.(again) I have something listed on auction and someone has emailed asking if I will accept an offer. Is this the same as offering to buy outside ebay?

LittleMissNorty · 12/11/2008 21:03

That's lovely about parents evening Ria....and about the elderly man.....

I should be working! I am dialled into work and MNing on their IE rather than mine whilst eating my muller rice!

Catch up later....although doesn't look like there is much catching up to do

Did I spot BZ? Has she disaapeared again?

LittleMissNorty · 12/11/2008 21:04

Yes it is Ria - i usually tell em to bugger off and if they want it to bid for it....but if you want to accept an offer, do so....but they are usually trying to get it on the cheap IME
