Hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
RiallyEeRiaee · 29/10/2008 12:58

I find it quite soothing. In a n odd way

45 minutes til they go out...

LittleMissNorty · 29/10/2008 13:02

Oh I have seen it before, just still trying to work out wtf its all about . The music is about the only thing I like about it. DD was watching the beginning stroking her hand like the LO does on the TV...

LittleMissNorty · 29/10/2008 13:05

My window cleaner has just been and cos I'm here he's done the inside of the patio doors......there is a garden out there....I can see again......

RiallyEeRiaee · 29/10/2008 13:18

aargh, my boys are hopeless at waiting. "whens grandad going to get here?"

Baggins is asleep. I want them to go so I can get on before he wakes up (and before I decide a nap is the best cure for man flu)

LackaDAISYcal · 29/10/2008 13:52

My front window is a bit smeary norty......DD stands on the windowsill and licks it

I should clean it really, but then I think "what's the point?...she'll only go licking it again". I think she likes the added vinegar taste of the window cleaner!!

RiallyEeRiaee · 29/10/2008 16:01

is man flu-fatal?

I have cleaned the boys bedroom, emptied the airing cupboard and distributed clean laundry, and even put some away, but that is only half of what I'd planned. I've got baggins next-sized clothes and winter coats out though

hope the GPs aren' too cold. they were going to a nature reserve...

RiallyEeRiaee · 29/10/2008 16:02

DH not home yet either. hope he's enjoying himself. is it wrong of me to hope the full time chef walks out in a cheffy huff so DH can have his job?

FiendishFairyFay · 29/10/2008 19:45

Where is everyone tonight

LackaDAISYcal · 29/10/2008 21:03

I'm here....knackered after flying solo with the DCs after a week of DH doing it all!

Have just spoken to my SIL and now feel irate......you know how you want to let rip but just bite your tongue? Mine has bloody toothmarks in it

Sputnik · 29/10/2008 21:10

Feel free to rant Daisy!
Just escaped from marathon putting DCs to sleep session.

LackaDAISYcal · 29/10/2008 21:25

oh, OK then

this is my brother and his wife, who has pretty serious mental health and alcohol issues. Their daughter is handicapped and they have recently got a mobility car for her....fair enough. But, she (SIL) either won't or isn't allowed to drive and he only has a provisional so they are driving everywhere like she is giving him a driving lesson.....and he's already crashed the bloody thing. If they get caught doing this long term I'm sure the police would take a pretty dim view of things. Also, they took my mum's other cat who is long haired and is 21 and a bit senile. She's only after telling me that the cat can't groom itself properly anymore and is so badly matted that she is going to have to be knocked out to get the mats out; except they won't put her under given her age. It just fucks me off that they have all these animals and they can't look after them properly; surely they should have noticed her getting matted and done something about it before it got to this stage? They took the dog after my Dad got too ill to look after him and last time I was there the dog's claws were so long they were turning out cos he never got exercised enough.......and the wanker still owes me £400 that he borrowed four years ago to pay for flights to tene-fucking-rife and they have been back every year since (except this year when they had a fornight in Zante instead) and I still haven't seen my £400, inspite of asking for it regularly....and then she comes on all sweetness and light (inspite of hurling drunken abuse at me last time she called) wondering how I am and when the baby is due, yadda yadda yadda.

oooooohhhhhhhh ....and BREATHE....remember the blood pressure.

sorry about that; feels good to get it off my chest

brother is the black sheep of the family if you hadn't already guessed.

LittleMissNorty · 29/10/2008 21:55

Bloody families eh? Never a truer saying than you can choose your friends but not your family

DD sone a solid poo this afternoon so nipped out to pick up my prescription and after the woman took the prescription off of me she told me there was a 15 minute wait ...so took DD to the swings....she wasn't really appropriately dressed (cold and sunny) but did have a polo neck jumper on, coat and warm trousers, but no hat or gloves. But then again, she hasn't been out of the house since Saturday and a bit of chilly breeze for 10 minutes probably done her the world of good. Anyway, another mum there with a DC 2 months older told me how if her child doesn't wear hat/gloves, they are not allowed out and that they understand that was the rules. Made me feel really fucking inadeuqate and cruel. Then, got back to the chemist to be told that they didn't have my tablets in stock and if I really needed them they would have to order them ....what is it about me?

So still no tablets until tomorrow...if I'm lucky.

srry - my turn for a rant!

Blimey, my dog has just emitted the most revolting fart.....wonder if he's picked up DDs bug

At least its over and done with....will he be home tomorrow?

Sputnik · 29/10/2008 22:03

Evening all
My poor DH had his flight delayed and ended up missing his connection. He was sent to one of those crappy hotels that only exist cos they have a deal with some airline to accommodate fucked off travellers who've missed their flights. There was no food, everything was closed. Luckily he had some crackers. Anyway, he finally reached his destination this evening.

Never fly Alitalia folks.

How did your DH's op go Elvira?

Sputnik · 29/10/2008 22:04

Ah x-posted

LittleMissNorty · 29/10/2008 22:05

blimey Sputnik, he's not had much luck has he?

At least he is there, safe!

Right I'm off to bed - think the MS (!) is making a comeback....

Night all x

LackaDAISYcal · 29/10/2008 22:07

kind of elvira.....bro is one of the great unwashed and they are the type that thinks the state owes them a living, but will happily work a little on the side......

me and my sisters blame it on him being the only boy and very mollycoddled by my mum as a child......but we're not bitter

norty, I'd have told that woman at the park to mind her own effing business........I wonder if she is a MNer.....g'wan start an AIBU thread

I'm glad she is feeling better though norty, but that you aren't. Can you get the tablets from another chemist?

Sputnik · 29/10/2008 22:08

Hope you haven't got your DD's bug Norty

LackaDAISYcal · 29/10/2008 22:09

your poor DH sputnik, it's not his week is it?

Glad your DH is OK after his op elvira. Will he get home tomorrow?

RiallyEeRiaee · 29/10/2008 22:22

feck, just got the kids to bed. DH on his way home now. He'll be knackered (and won't we know it) not being used to work and all.

glad your DHs are ok sputnik & Elvira.

the boys had a great time, they saw a barn owl. DS1 broke his telescope and has nits. DS2 is very preky, but they had to detour on the way home because there was a police car over the road.

I got very dizzy on the bunk bed steps changing DS1s sheets.

for you norty, meds and silly cow in park. and for your B & SIL daisy.

have I missed anyone? Hi if I have.

Am relieved as the problem the PC had this afternoon has fixed itself before DH gets in
