Hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LackaDAISYcal · 06/11/2008 21:33

jbm; sertraline is what I'm taking and is one of the best ones to take when BFing as it gets through in minimal amounts. My psych said it's what they prefer BFing mums to take and lactmed and the BfN sites back this up

glad you have seen the doc though and the ADs help.

LackaDAISYcal · 06/11/2008 21:36

they might have had bid sniper or something ria? I'm a bit of an ebay novice so not sure.

LackaDAISYcal · 06/11/2008 21:40

and BFing itself makes me sweaty. I didn't notice the sertraline making me any more sweaty.

Had a feeding breakthrough earlier and the wee man managed to get latched on well in the rugby ball hold and feed for nealry 20mins (he has been lucky to make 10mins for the last few days). I'm glad he did as I was starting to get some blocked ducts due to him not latching well. He seems to have benefitted as well as he is now happily zonked out.

educatingRia · 06/11/2008 21:44

aww, bless him.

It's just confusing (ebay}. I normally bid in the last few mins myself (can't let DH do it though) but I wasn't going to be in. I wouldn't be bothered if it wasn't that the winning bid was the same. Doesn't seem right, but ebay couldn't explain it either. Bloody technology.

I've just been looking at a blog of one of DS1s church leaders. I am to say I am a bit . But then he hasn't been married as long as we have, they're bound to look happy and exciting aren't they???

Sputnik · 06/11/2008 21:57

Well done for getting yourself to the GP JBM, hope things improve for you soon.

educatingRia · 06/11/2008 22:08

hi sputnik, howya doin'?

Sputnik · 06/11/2008 22:28

Not bad.
Eating too much chocolate.

educatingRia · 06/11/2008 22:31

aah, chocolate . I've run out of cream crackers. They were nice though

LackaDAISYcal · 06/11/2008 22:35

Can't believe you haven't eaten it already Ria. It would have lasted ten minutes in this house!!

Hi sputnik.....am going to try the sling tomorrow ....I'm sure you'll hear the cursing from over there

educatingRia · 06/11/2008 22:40

I keep going on diets daisy. And I have to climb on a chair to get to it...

Sputnik · 06/11/2008 22:54

Well climbing on a chair will be exercise at least.
I found the sling really great when Baby Sputnik was tiny, he'd fall aleep instantly

LackaDAISYcal · 06/11/2008 23:06

perfect exercise regime there then as sputnik says.

stand on chair; have a piece of fudge; stand down. stand on chair; have a marshmallow; stand down. stand on chair, have a piece of chocolate; stand down.

You will use more calories than you consume, i'm sure of it

my stitches are starting to tighten up now...ooooooow oooooow oooooow.

NattyTomAndEllen · 07/11/2008 10:27

aww daisy can sympathise, i had the same experiance, vbac with forceps, stiches really hurt. to be honest i found them more uncomfortable than the section incision.. but thats just me!

ive got to take so many pills now, asprin, iron and folic acid. i need a pill box!
doctor classed me as "high risk" and i get an early scan apparently. thats nice

HollyWeen · 07/11/2008 11:15

My dp has just been sacked . No notice, no pay from now on, just sacked. He wasn't selling enough, so they've just got rid of him. We are fucked.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 07/11/2008 12:23

Shit Holly! That sucks

educatingRia · 07/11/2008 12:47

oh no holly. I really hate the way employers treat people like shit. It's not fair.

Sputnik · 07/11/2008 13:04

Shit Holly

HollyWeen · 07/11/2008 13:31

He is home now. He's bloody pissed off, but I think we'll be ok. He has rung a few people about jobs, but if it comes down to it we won't be much worse off on benefits. I have lots of things to sell, so we can get by this month. I'll have to take some bits that I've bought over the past month back to the shop, but we don't have any luxuries like Sky or gym membership to pay, so we'll be fine.

We can't do anything about JSA until Monday because he is still officially employed today, but he is going to the CAB as well next week. I'm sure you can't just sack someone without warning with no sort of notice period. We'll take it as far as we can.

ARSE!

educatingRia · 07/11/2008 13:39

well done for staying calm holly, I would be in pieces.
If he wasn't on a trial period with them and had worked for them longer than 13 weeks you should be able to do something. The CAB will know best obviously. Good luck.

educatingRia · 07/11/2008 13:41

DH thinks they shouldn't be able to sack him for lack of sales either (as you know DH knows a lot about being sacked), the only instant thing is gross misconduct. but anyway, you've got the right wheels in motion. good luck.

HollyWeen · 07/11/2008 13:45

I'm quite good at staying calm in a crisis! I've had a bit of a crying hissy fit, but I'm over that now!

I guess living on JSA for a while won't be so bad. It'll give dp a chance to reassess his career and maybe go for something completely different. I just feel so sorry for him, he looks like a broken man .

HollyWeen · 07/11/2008 13:49

That's what I said to him ria. He hasn't done anything to warrant instant dismissal. He hasn't even been given a warning, just sacked. I don't know how the MD of the company can live with himself. Sacking someone with 5 children just before Christmas. It just seems wrong. Especially as the industry he works in is more along the lines of long term service and contracts. He has worked his arse off for this company and done so much development work and was just starting to see it pay off. It is shit.

educatingRia · 07/11/2008 13:51

JSA's fine holly, though I'm sick of it now. It's the stupid career-change advice but no action that annoys me (why don't you become a writer Mr Ria? hmm, that's going to bring in a regular income isn't it). We'll all get there in the end I suppose.

educatingRia · 07/11/2008 13:53

Am a bit in denial about christmas. Makes me a bit wistful for the days of long hours, long service, crap wages but a gold watch at the end of it all.

must go have lunch...
