Hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
NattyTomAndEllen · 06/11/2008 09:50

lmao! you dont know my friend! when i had the mc, i had random ppl i didnt know coming up to me in the street saying how sorry they were for it all, and that she had told them

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 06/11/2008 11:10

ah well Natty, you're doomed to be the focus of gossip again

Jamlet must have had a growth spurt because I used to be able to open the cutlery drawer over the top of her head when she's standing against the units, but this morning I opened it and bumped her noggin! And she sat next to me at the GP while I had my BP checked this morning, and when the GP released the cuff it flew back and slapped Jamlet in the face! GP was mortified!

LittleMissNorty · 06/11/2008 11:18

Ahhh poor little thing Jammy....hope she's ok!

DD was fine during her MMR....didn't cry really....blimey I do get worked up about these things....she's currently feeding her dolly in her highchair

I'm finding that DD is getting taller and losing that baby chubbiness as well....I am compiling a snapfish calendar for Xmas pressies and the photos of just 3 months ago are so different...where is the time going?

She is now finally beginning to say a few words....when we get indoors now, she runs down the hall to the room where the dog is saying "hello hello" really loudly ....that's about it though....still plenty of screeching and whinging when she's trying to get something she can't have

NattyTomAndEllen · 06/11/2008 11:25

ellens got her mmr at the end of the month too, i delayed it on purpose tho
i just thought she was to little to have the jab yet.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 06/11/2008 11:35

Glad the MMR was OK Norty. And DD running to the dog sounds very cute Jamlet says hello or hiya quite a lot, but not much else.

Oh it was funny yesterday, I was talking to DH on Messenger, and he has a pic of her which displays when I am talking to him. She spotted it and thought it was great that there was a picture of her there! And every time I asked "where's jamlet's picture?" she leant over and pointed to that bit of the screen

LackaDAISYcal · 06/11/2008 13:57

just a quickie from me to say Thanks for the card Jammy; it's really lovely and holly I got the cocoon and your card this morning as well.

One of my Nov ladies sent me some chocolate bars with Fs details printed in the labels, and some for DS and DD as well saying "I've got a baby brother" and "I'm a big sister"....it'll be OK to eat the chocolate and just keep the wrapper for posterity won't it????

Taking F to the cranial osteopath tomorrow to see if it'll help with his latch. I think he has a bit of a stiff neck going on. I'm only online to get the number for my local NCT BFC, but couldn't resist a sneaky MN peek.

Visitor central here today.....looks like my babymoon is over!

LackaDAISYcal · 06/11/2008 13:59

holly, your card was lovely too, obviously

I hope DD is Ok after her jab norty. E didn't have any bother from hers immediately, but was really out of sorts about a week to 10 days afterwards.

jbm, i hope you are OK {{{{{hugs}}}}}}

educatingRia · 06/11/2008 14:14

glad DD ok norty, I think it took baggins a week to react too.

not great here today, the weather isn't helping. DH has been called to the Docs later, assuming to do with his blood test, but don't know. He also got a call from one of the A4E type agencies that aremeant to be helping him get a job to say that "X, Y & Z companies aren't taking people on due to the current climte". Thanks for the good news mate.

And we're having chicken casserole for tea (economy drive) and it stinks. I could throw up (I'm not good with meaty smells)

ARSE.

wil take my misery away til later...

LittleMissNorty · 06/11/2008 15:55

Ria - hope DH gets on OK at docs......when I was there this morning, the nurse had "a word in my ear" saying that a really nice and good GP had started work at the practice 2 days a week and I should go and see them.....comes to something when their own staff almost admit their GP is crap

DD is a limpet that won't get off my lap....cBeebies and calpol I think.

educatingRia · 06/11/2008 16:43

apparently DH had traces of something to do with taking paracetamol in his blood? repeat test and see what happens. More waiting.

DH is super-proud of DS1 though - he got 3 credits in food tech! (for a sandwich beef and cheese baguette, the credits were for his presentation!!!)

baggins is snuggling life-size piglet. It is very cute.

educatingRia · 06/11/2008 16:44

good that your nurse thinks enough of you to tell you, and that you are getting a nice GP. It would cause excitement in our practice too. DH goes to see the newest - I suppose they haven't had time to get jaded by it all.

LittleMissNorty · 06/11/2008 16:51

at least they're keeping their eye on it Ria. Lifesize piglet sounds cute....take a pic!

DD is still whinging....had enough now......can you see why I didn't go into nursing .

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 06/11/2008 16:59

Daisy, jamlet saw a cranial osteopath and it did wonders for her latch

Ria, hope DH is OK and hope you get to see the nice GP Norty

evening all
well i have trailed through 8 different shops today to try and find ellen a snowsuit, she keeps getting too cold in just a top half coat
could i find one? heck no i couldnt, even ebay is pretty barren..
and next! apparently they dont stock them instore only in the catalogue.. er why?

educatingRia · 06/11/2008 20:03

hi natty, I'm on a snowsuit hunt too, I have an exact type I want and bid on one on ebay the other day, but even though my max bid was £5, it sold for £5 but not to me. Can't work that out, surely it should have been more than £5???

FrazzledFairyFay · 06/11/2008 20:05

Hi everyone.

I noticed that Sainsburys had some quite nice snowsuits last week, I don't know how much they were though.

DS went to an osteopath too because he was very crunched up having been in hospital with a fever for so long, and I think it really helped him

TALLULAHBELLE · 06/11/2008 20:15

Hi everyone. Good to catch up on all the good news over the last couple of days. Congrats all round.

Sorry things so tough for you JBM - hang in there & like everyone else said, go & see GP, no point struggling on.

NattyTomAndEllen · 06/11/2008 20:41

my fucking neighbors!
playing loud bass music when its half 8 at night waking up my children, they are wankers
ive been arguing with them over it for weeks now. im moving. thats enough. i will see xmas out, then im going

LackaDAISYcal · 06/11/2008 20:46

Ria, if the other bidder had a maximim bid of £5.06 for example and they put in their bid before you, then it will have gone to them. top tip i had from a regular ebayer was always add a few more pnnies on to your maximum as it's often just enough to tip the balance in your favour

justbeme · 06/11/2008 20:59

Havent caught up yet -
Hope you're all ok?
Been to Dr today and been given Sertraline. Is that ok with Bfing? as the Dr tried to give me Prozac but I didnt think that was ok?
(need Daisy and Nortys wisdom!).
Back later.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 06/11/2008 21:04

I had prozac while BF

TALLULAHBELLE · 06/11/2008 21:05

Hi JBM. Sorry no expertise on that subject but glad you saw GP. Was he/she sympathetic? Did you mention you were still feeding? They always assume you have stopped. Lost count of the number of times I was asked (at the maternity hosp FFS) if I had b/f DD when we were still merrily feeding away.

educatingRia · 06/11/2008 21:20

I had sertraline when BF. My GP said it's the safest one in whatever tests they've done. It made me sweat a lot (TMI).
I never clicked with prozac, wish I had cos someone told me they lost loads of weight when they were on it, and it made them better.

Glad you went though JBM, no need to suffer in silence nowadays.

I could have sworn I was the winning bidder when I put my max bid in, so I'm baffled, but hey. You win some...

justbeme · 06/11/2008 21:29

Thanks for the advice. I seem to sweat alot as it is, so hope I dont more so!!
Ive always had prozac in the past, but thought I'd heard a few of you talk about Sertraline.
I wrote the Doctor a "letter" so that I didnt have to explain as I knew i would get upset.

I like the adrenaline of bidding at the last minute on Ebay Ria - apart from when my screen sticks and then I lose!!
