I am resting
I was offered formula unnecessarily by six different HCPs over our few days. MWs were the best actually, telling everyone it was unnecessary. I was also fed up being asked when he was due a feed....erm when hewakes up for one. I suppose it was a bit different as being on the transitional care ward meant that a lot of the babies need extra care and are on strict feeding schedules. But, all the neonatal nurses seemed very pro formula. One asked how he was doing as I was feeding him and when I explained he was struggling with getting latched on she asked "do you want me to get you some formula?" rather than "do you want me to get someone to help?"
It has given me some ideas for volunteering/support groups needed in the hospital itself.
MW over this morning and the young man latched on and fed beautifully . they always do with an audience don't they? He is a bit sleepy and jaundiced and has a funny rash (MW said it looked like erythema 9sp?), but have googeld and that is slapped cheek? surely he can't have that already??)
DH has gone to get MIL as she hasn't seen him yet. She called this morning and was all "i thought I was coming to see him on Sunday" and when I said I wasn't well enough for visitors she actually said "I wasn't coming to visit you though" . she is a witch.
back to resting.......sorry all me me me will catch up soon I promise.
