ThemasterandmarGOREitas · 27/10/2008 11:13

Well done SOH! I am looking forward to my next one, whenever it may be. I am planning to do this next year. The thought of being chased by an ellie might make me break the hour mark! Feel free to join me.

Poor dh TYG, that must be devastating, imagine 30 seconds, how frustrating! Why not encourage dh to think about an overseas posting? I hear Kenya is veeeeeerrrrrryyyy nice

Hmm, a list of things to do before my birthday....

  1. Be nice to dh
  2. Be nice to the dc
  3. Run 10k in under an hour
  4. Take part in a tennis tournament
  5. Find some kind of worthy part time work

I miss the fact our clocks stay the same, its so boring living on the Equator, the sun rises at oh 6 am and sets at, let's see, 6 pm. EVERYDAY.

charleymouse · 27/10/2008 11:15

morning all, the sun is shining in Sheffield although tis bitter cold.

The one clock we hadn't changed had me struggling to wake everyone at 6:20 this morning. DOH DH not best pleased as has a hangover cold coming on . Left him in bed in the end.

Well done TMAM. DH has a running machine but I never seem to get the time to go on although DH did suggest this morning after I'd tried getting everyone up that I should go and have a run. I declined and went back to sleep.

Will catch up later as have to pack all my things as moving offices on Wednesday and have to be at the hospital tomorrow for Gs paediatric apt. Was hoping they would say off you go now we don't need to see you anymore but has has been so unwell of late that he looks a wreck so think we may still be under supervision. Will let you know how we get on.

Love to you all, am feeling all gushy at the mo. Is it too early to test if I was fertile last week I beg of you, hormonal or what. Seeing as how I have only had AF 3 times I actually have no idea what my cycle is anyway so probably all to cock. DH said lets be relaxed about this and all last week he was like "should we try again today" actually how naive of me he just wanted a shag to make love

Will keep you posted.

JamInMyWellies · 27/10/2008 13:10

Hi everyone,

sorry you had some crappy nights this wkend. Wish it was DS disturbing my sleep DP is on some heavy duty drugs for his back and they make him snore really badly so I am awake most of the night.

TMAM well done on the running very impressive.

SOH stop gloating about your perfect DH, might have to come and kidnap him for a few weeks.

AM we too have the horrible jekyll and hyde thing Archie is as sweet as pie one minute and then the next is throwing himself around the floor wiping snot and dribble over everything and wailing mama mama.

So tis 6wks till D-DAY. Am really begining to struggle now not sure where the bubba is but last night I could feel something deep down inside my hips and then my belly being pushed really hard by I think the bum. Uber uncomfy.

Off to try and organise the babies room a bit picked up all the baby stuff from SIL at the wkend and there is now a mountain of baby bedding etc to wash. Whare are margaret and elizabeth when you need them.

JamInMyWellies · 27/10/2008 13:19

Oh meant to add. I bought a new moses basket mattress for Archie to use, but was wondering should I use the same one for the bubba? He was never a sickie babe so the mattress didnt get wrecked. The only thing is its been stored in an Attic for the last yr. It would still be ok wouldnt it??

twelveyeargap · 27/10/2008 14:43

I would just air it Jam.

AprilMeadow · 27/10/2008 15:07

I used the same for Jack and Ella. Was planning on airing it for a month but i think i managed a week before she arrived !

AprilMeadow · 27/10/2008 16:20

WOO HOO
I have completed my project proposal!!! had a meeting with the tutor today who said that she was very pleased with what i had shown her given that i had missed 3wks of important information. Thought she would say i had got confused and would need to re-do lots of it, but all she asked me to do was make 3 little tweaks!

Now have the written assignment to attack and have no idea what its about or how to do it! Fabulous!!!

ThemasterandmarGOREitas · 27/10/2008 16:32

Well done you MrsMeadow! Give yourself a cake

Jam Margaret has gone on leave for 2 weeks and Elizabeth and I are struggling She is not really in Kakamega, the fashion capital of the world, but is actually in Essex innit with you? I mean, fgs, I had to put the washing machine on myself four times today. It was tough going.

Oi Tilly . Have you tried it on yet????

HauntedMeadow · 27/10/2008 17:02

I did award myself a nice big slab of chocolate swiss roll [yummy]

Oh no how terrible for you TMAM!

Just been and purchased the decorations for halloween. Need to make an effort this year as we will have the Jaffa Biffas with us

JamInMyWellies · 27/10/2008 18:50

TMAM poor you imagine having to dirty your hands on the laundry.

Haunted Meadow congrats on your assignment.

SKYTVMOSTHAUNTEDADDICT · 27/10/2008 21:43

JW - I bought a new mattress for C, it was in loft for about 6 months, used by my neice for her LO for 3 months and then straight back to us for L. I did wash to cover!

L weighed 13lb 3oz today. The nursery nurse thought he may have "something" swollen down below but the HV said it was probably normal. He may just be a big boy. On looking closer when we got home I may take him to the GP tomorrow as I'm not sure it looks right! DD1 horrified as we were all trying to have a good luck .
He has also been quite unsettled and had a temp so it could be something.

ShowOfHands · 28/10/2008 10:07

Well done AM you boffin you!

Sky, if he's poorly then it may be glandular. DH gets swollen glands down there if he's run down. Hope he's okay.

TMAM, laundry? Have you recovered? I think the way to get through it is to pretend it's the game 'how the plebs live'. Instead of taking afternoon gin tea today you could smack your children in a public place and eat a sausage roll.

Must go. DH has gone to get picnic supplies. We're going on a bike ride today. Just need to go for a short run first.

VASTlargeginandbloodymary · 28/10/2008 10:24

Well done on the marathon TMAM!! You must be very pleased with yourself. It must feel lovely to have achieved something for yourself, i don't think i have done that in 10 years

SOH yes, yes we all know your dh is fanatbulous, you are a very lucky girl Now are you coming this weekend or not?

Beau has been poorly. He got up Saturday night at 1 having threw up all over his cot followed by several yuk nappies. He seemed to perk up through the day though. Then went to bed Sunday night and woke at 4 doing exactly the same thing!!! What the hell was that? I went to bed yesterday avo for a nap as was cream crackered.

He was ok last night so hoping that whatever it was has buggered off.

TYG does your whole body ache form all the sessions? I understand the excitement from a new Tesco store, what has become of our lives?

Jam i am with you on the panicking, time seems to be speeding up! Only 11 weeks to go and most of that will be overtaken by the swift approaching Christmas festivities. Use the same mattress like the others said already, it will be fine.

I have this dredful insomnia, i lie awake for ages trying to get to sleep and then get up to wee\see to B and am awake for hours agan. It is soooo annoying. The girl is massive and i can feel exactly where she is, head under right ribs, bum and legs oblique. She flips but always goes back, does not look promising. The bith ball is being bounced on to no avail. Harumph.

All quite here as the kids are away, very bored B. DH off for a couple of days hooray!

ThemasterandmarGOREitas · 28/10/2008 18:22

Have you all got snow??

JamInMyWellies · 28/10/2008 18:44

No we have had freezing cold all day. Then just after tea pissing down rain with thunder and lightening!

MKGisHavingaGirl · 28/10/2008 19:16

Hello everyone. Nothing new to report. I'm just exhausted.

Luckily dh made dinner last night and put the boys to bed so I could take a nap today. I feel great, but spent.

LG&T--don't worry you know she'll turn when she's ready. She's probably going to be a synchronized swimmer is all.

HauntedMeadow · 28/10/2008 21:23

It's SNOWING!!!!!!!

twelveyeargap · 28/10/2008 22:40

Glad you had a rest G&T, albeit brief. Did B have a temp? A has vomited in the past because of high temperatures. If it was at night, it could be that he got particularly hot in bed and it caused him to be sick. I've noticed with A as well, that sometimes when she's a bit poorly, she gets on and eats all day, but doesn't really digest anything and it all comes back again at the end of the day.

And FWIW, I had appalling insomnia at the end of the last pregnancy. Hours and hours of wakefulness at night. I was actually looking forward to night feeds by the end of the pregnancy because I know that breastfeeding makes me sleepy and I'd fall asleep after the feed without any trouble. It's like the final insult of pregnancy. You can't get comfortable in bed, you're looking after a toddler (and a brood of other children too, in your case) and then no matter how tired you are you can't feckin' stay asleep. Totally unfair.

HauntedMeadow · 29/10/2008 08:02

LG&T I hope you had a better night. Hope you manage to rest up today x

Ella is currently sitting in one of the toy boxes doing row, row, row your boat!

She has learnt to say her name which is very cute and even pointed at a picture of the two of them and said 'jack and ella'. No! is her new word, but she says it in such a way with a cute little face that i cant help but smile even if i am cross with her.

TMAM, everything you said about Moben/Dolphin is sadly coming true! I am having to call Dolphin as our shower screen has come off, neither of the towel rails work, the plugs in the bathroom sinks just dont keep the water in the sink and the grouting on the main bathroom floor is crumbling! Not good when the only finished less than 2mths ago.

IS anything happening with a Secret Santa? I have pretty much put together the S/Stork for JAM and her Dec girls.

Spent all day in the office yesterday doing my first meeting as HR person. I had to congratulate one lady on her promotion and then sit down with her and the Operations Mgr to work out what her job role would cover. Then spent hours trying to put together job descriptions for all the office based team. Dh and I told all the staff what the new changes were and 1 girl just looked like we had smacked her round the face with a wet fish! Oh well i am sure she will get over it..

Will be baking something this afternoon for my visit to LG&T tomorrow and also preparing stuff for the halloween party that MrsJB is coming to. MrJB will be going with my dh to Top Gear Live

JamInMyWellies · 29/10/2008 08:35

Top gear live! I am so jealous DP if we have a boy and I go into labour during top gear wants to call mini munch Jezza James Richard The Stig.

Well we are the house of poo. Archie has a tummy bug and either the dog also has it or he was feeling left out. A covered in poo head to toe this morning as was the dog his bed and dog crate. We have already hoovered and washed the floors downstairs and the dog crate is currently outside neither of us can face hosing it down. Any takers?

TYG hows it going. I hear oyu on the insomnia I seem to be waking hourly and its not even to pee.

HauntedMeadow · 29/10/2008 08:39

just had to call BA to arrange a meal for Ella as we are off to Florida in 2wks and they told me that as she didnt have a seat the best they could offer me was a jar of food. Ella hasnt had a jar for i dont know how long and i doubt that she would eat it. I asked if i could pay for the childs meal as the last 2 longhaul flights we have done she didnt have an allocated meal. They said that i was welcome to take my own! How am i going to get a ready meal through security and then get BA to heat it... might manage it here but in Florida i have no chance. The knob that i spoke to wouldnt even put me through to a mgr I'm sure a jar is fine up until 12mths but not at 18mths when she has been eating the same as J for 6mths.... arrggghhhhh

HauntedMeadow · 29/10/2008 08:41

JAM, did you see that TT tickets go on sale on Friday 3&4th July at Wembley Stadium

VASTlargeginandbloodymary · 29/10/2008 10:11

Just had a text from SkyTV

'Just thought i'd let you know me and Lewis are in hospital, came by blue light smbulsnce and stayed overnight courtesy of Lewis doing his best hissy fit arching his back and screaming for the GP yesterday morning. He seems ok now but had been off colour for 4 a couple of days. Cud just be having a growth spurt and cold (man flu)'

Another said

'We r fine thanx, bit of a shock yesterday. Feel a bit of a fraud taking a room on a full ward but i think he really scared the GP. He got penicillin in both legs before we left the surgery! Cud be reflux or cud just like being held lol'

Well the woman sounds in fine spirits cosidering! How scary. Any mesages and i will pass them on. Blardy babies scaring the bejesus out of us.

Pink phoned me yesterday with news of Lexie having some mystery rash and being kept away from nursery. She thinks it is nothing but could be Shingles\chickenpox type. Gah!

ThemasterandmarGOREitas · 29/10/2008 10:35

Oh poor Sky, gosh she is just so chilled. Imagine if that was Pink! Send her my love and fingers crossed it is nothing serious, poor thing has had a run of bad health luck recently.

And send Pink a message from me that I hope it is nothing serious, and she is not panicking too much. Perhaps it is roseola, as J had a couple of weeks ago..? Tis very common in the first 2 years as we all carry the virus and its passed through saliva.

What about you Ma? How is B today? Did you get any sleep? Sending you and Jam lots of lovely good sleep vibes.

ThemasterandmarGOREitas · 29/10/2008 10:37

Oh and at Top Gear Live! I want to go.

So Jam, who do you think The Stig really is?
