Paint systems? How very posh. It's not all Cath Kidston then? Crotch zingers. I remember those. Usually happened in the middle of the super market and I started yelping by the baked beans. Pregnancy, such a magical time. Never, ever again.

Oh I can't stop smiling...

OP posts:
Pinkjenny · 05/11/2008 10:37

I don't remember the crotch zingers. It's funny because I know that I hated being pregnant but look back on it with such fondness.

SOH - have you opened the vodka a little early today?

Themasterandmargaritas · 05/11/2008 10:44

Lovely analysis Jung, but I think the carjackers simply fancied a red car

I too am all awash with emotion. He is just so young and good looking full of energy, what a moving speech. It's history in the making. Though I must say McCain's speech was very gracious.

Paint systems??? Sounds like fun. We have mosquitoes, many many many of them, they are driving me bonkers.

Pink, get yourself over here for a holiday, it's much nicer than SA (sometimes!).

I reckon Thea will clock in at 8lb 11oz. Oooooooo crotch zingers and sciatica. Glad those are a thing of the past.

Scoot - have you been????

ShowOfHands · 05/11/2008 10:44

I loved being pg. Really loved it. It's the natural conclusion to pregnancy that I'm not so fond of.

I'm rambly aren't I? I'm very tired.

OP posts:
Pinkjenny · 05/11/2008 10:48

Why are you so tired SOH? Were you watching Shrek at 3am? Or out jogging? Or watching the election coverage?

TMAM - what a fabulous idea!

ShowOfHands · 05/11/2008 10:53

Election coverage of course. McCain's speech was indeed gracious but he didn't write it. I know how it works. I've seen the West Wing.

Themasterandmargaritas · 05/11/2008 10:53

When can we expect you? I've got a slot in Feb. But you would have to close your eyes to the badly behaved children mess.

We like it when you ramble SOH, that's what we have come to expect from you. We could incorporate them all into your second book entitled 'Rambles of a hemp loving lentil weaver' It would be a best seller.

Pinkjenny · 05/11/2008 10:59

We're going to CP in Feb. Maybe March?

It's my wedding anniversary tomorrow.

And the good news is that the girl I was covering for has decided not to come back, so the job hunt is possibly over. The MD has asked me to put together a proposal of what I think the HR department actually needs. So I will attempt to maintain some integrity and try to do that without myself in mind! I need to determine what they need, and whether what they need is something I want to do permanently! Of course, dh and I want to start trying for another baby asap, so the possibility of staying here is attractive in that sense.

Themasterandmargaritas · 05/11/2008 11:03

Ooooo I love November weddings. What plans do you have? at the job and baby bombshell. I thought you didn't like the boss? And does this mean you and dh are practising again?

Pinkjenny · 05/11/2008 11:06

Yes, we're back into the old swing of things! We are actually going away in December, as we have lots of plans this month, so in December we are going to stay in a nice hotel and see Romeo and Juliet at the RSC. (I'm not supposed to know about it, though)

My boss is certainly, an interesting character, but I have been looking for part time permanent work for twelve months now, so I guess beggars need to realise they can't be choosers.

JamInMyWellies · 05/11/2008 11:10

Hola everyone.

Happy Obama day! I am so pleased he was elected. I was living in NY during the last farcical election. Its done so differently over there you actually end up caring about what happens rather than here where there is such anitpathy (hope thats right word I am thinking of) towards politics.

TMAM blimey do be careful my love.

Scoot hows things today I agreew ith SOH and TMAM. Get thee to the docs and start kickiing up an alimighty fuss.

TYG any chance you have managed to get to the post office?

LG&T well done on the painting. We decided to stick with the colours the developer put on the walls as decorating with my two balls of energy around just seems madness. How is P getting on with all her injections etc?

AAh are we on the moaning about being up the duff hoorah!

I am 35+2 today whre has the time gone? Finally got the babies room sort of up and running just got to get all my baby clothes back from my sis otherwise the poor thing will be wearing Archies P.J's. All seems to be going well am defo going to give the birthing center a bash feeling much more positive about pushing the mini munch out. Also started my NCT refresher course last night lovely girls on it which was my main reason for going so I could meet some new mums who live out here. There is a girl on there who had her last at the Royal London too with a horrid experience so it felt good to chat to someone who had also had a crappy time there. Both of us are determined not to go through the same nonsense again.

DP went back to work on Mon only to be sent straight back home as his consultant had written to HR say it was contra to his recovery to be sitting at a desk. Not sure how sitting at home on a beanbag with his laptop on top of a cardboard box is any better.

Anyway off to make munch liunch we have swimming this arvo I suppose I ought to tackle my nether regions aswell prob not very fair to let the other women see the very impressive hedgerow hanging out my bikini bottoms.

Themasterandmargaritas · 05/11/2008 11:16

I was buffed up nicely this morning Jam reading for my Zanzibar outing

Pink, sooooooo good to hear you sounding all lovely and upbeat. Here's to much shagging baby making.

Right, I'm away to read books, school run and swimming lessons. I shall leave you with this text I received this morning

'Breaking News! All African American women have shaved their pubic hair in support of OBAMA! Their message to the world! "READ OUR LIPS NO MORE BUSH"'

JamInMyWellies · 05/11/2008 11:21

TMAM

PJ quadruple 's at being on track again.

LG&T quick question when you had the doggies did they go a bit weird before you went into labour Louis is driving me round the twist follows me everywhere lies on my feet wherever they may be parked makes cooking dinner quite difficult as I have to extracate my feet from the dog to move anywhere in the kitchen. He just seems a bit agitated. Please dont say he is going to go all manic depressive when mini munch turns up.

Aprilmeadow · 05/11/2008 13:03

Pink i am so that things are back on track with you and M. Fingers crossed to a baby filled 2009.

Ooh a paint pod LG&T, my sisters bf bought one and i think is now in love with it! Do you have a name yet?

Jam, my cat was like that with me at the very beginning and end of both pg. She would curl up on me (if she could find room), drove me mad.

TMAM happy reading!

Scoot, how are you? I have lost your number and (pink, i cant open what you sent) therefore havent been able to text but wanted to let you know i was thinking of you all.

SOH i do love your rambling!

So have we a date for CP yet??

ShowOfHands · 05/11/2008 13:16

Shall we say Feb? Are we thinking a long weekend? PJ, you're going in Feb yes? Half term week? Is it the midweek one you're going for?

Come on, opinions please as dh will need to book time off soon.

OP posts:
Aprilmeadow · 05/11/2008 13:23

I think a weekend would be good. so thats either the 6-9th, 13th-16th or 27th-2nd March.

JamInMyWellies · 05/11/2008 13:32

me too me too pick a date I am easy. How exciting.

Pinkjenny · 05/11/2008 13:35

I am going midweek on the 16th Feb until the 20th Feb. So 6-9 or 27 March would be better for me.

Sorry I missed your call AM - I was talking through a very boring issue with a manager.

Aprilmeadow · 05/11/2008 13:44

OK now we are getting somewhere!

So far we have:
Me
Pink
JAM
SOH

Just spoken to pink and as we are coming sans dh's we will share a villa.

SOH & JAM how rooms do you require?
Scoot are you going to come?

Thought if i booked them al together then we might get a discount......

Pinkjenny · 05/11/2008 13:54

The only ishoo I have is that Elveden is 4 hours away from me.

I suppose I could either:

a) leave L at home
b) start psyching myself up for it now

ShowOfHands · 05/11/2008 13:58

Doesn't have to be Elveden.

We need a room with a double bed. Tildy under 2 so is fine to share with us.

OP posts:
Aprilmeadow · 05/11/2008 14:03

OK, have just spoken to CP and they have given me some prices. We get a discount but only coz i am staying there at the end of the month.

Have assumed that SOH would have 1 room and JAM/Scoot would be 2 rooms.
6th Feb:
1bd hotel room - £211
2bd comfort plus villa - £349

She suggested that perhaps scoot and soh share... if you did then a 3bd woodland lodge would be £373

27th Feb:
1bd hotel room - £228
2bd comfort villa - £327
3bd comfort villa - £373

Pinkjenny · 05/11/2008 14:04

Can I make a controversial suggestion? Wouldn't Sherwood be fairer as it is a bit more central?

Aprilmeadow · 05/11/2008 14:05

thats cool by me

Pinkjenny · 05/11/2008 14:06

I'm thrilled to come if we can make it Sherwood. Long car journeys and Princess Alexa Paige Taylor do NOT mix.
