just a quickie from me too, congrats Inzi hope your leg is feeling slightly better and hope your finger feels better soon alice.

Just watched SATC, tried very hard not to cry, I must have watched the series more than i thought cos i knew what was going on!

anyway off to bed, love to all xx

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 17/11/2008 07:23

Alice - bad news about your thumb - can imagine that makes life difficult.

Inzi - go girl! But too much wine isn't going to help...

I used to be veggie for about 6 years but I got bored and wouldn't be without meat now .

HeinzSight · 17/11/2008 11:36

alicet, no never caught driver despite massive public appeal. Hope their conscience has 'killed' them

Stefka · 17/11/2008 13:49

Oh Inzi!! I am a bit jealous - we always wanted ours to be close together but need to wait until the money situation is better.

Ouch Alice! Hope your thumb gets better soon and that those nappy changes aren't too awful in the mean time.

That's horrible heinz - it scares me the sort of people that are out there.

I don't eat meat but I do eat fish so not a proper vegetarian. My DH loves his meat though.

Not an I'm a celeb fan myself but am addicted to x factor!

Trying to decide if I should go do the shopping or just wait until tomorrow morning when it will be quieter. I feel a bit lazy today!

LisaLessLumpy · 17/11/2008 14:07

The weather here is truly shite today and the house is a complete tip. We have the plasterers in today as well as the builder who is doing the outside, but they all have to come through the hallway to get stuff so it is really muddy, so that's my evening sorted out then. Luckily the messy stuff should be finished by the end of the week and we can start painting

Inzi - congrats on the ttc, I hope all you lovely ladies stay on this thread when you have second little ones on the way

alice - hope your thumb is better soon, but at least you have some quality 'rest' time

LisaLessLumpy · 17/11/2008 14:07

Oh and Heinz - we still need the low down on why you think the Sept thread died a death

So true Inzi. I think we want to wait a bit until we are out of debt at least. Also this house is way too small for the three of us never mind another bambino!

Potty training already! Wow! I didn't think we had to worry about that for a wee while yet. So impressed by the spoon thing btw!!

alicet · 17/11/2008 20:10

Heinz that the tosser has got away with it. Like you I hope they are struggling living with the guilt. Oh and I'm with Lisa fess up about Sept please!!!!

Stefka I have to say I def prefer xfactor but I'm a celeb is amusing if there's nothing else on!!! I always like the first couple of programmes then get bored. I find reality progs (of which I am a great fan ) are better with non-celebs - celebs are always too guided by what the public will think of them whereas normal peeps forget about that after a while!

Lisa hope your house doesn't stay a mess for too long - plastering is so appallingly messy!

Well I haven't got total rest time. I basically can't touch any patients but that means I can do the ward rounds each am (as long as one of the other docs examines anyone who needs it), the results clinic tomorrow (as it only involves talking to people) and the team meeting Friday pm. So I haven't got 2 weeks off but I have got at least half a day off each day which will be nice for a couple of weeks I must say!

Went to visit a mate today who has a 5 week old baby girl as well as a ds who is about 6 months older than Sam. Really nice to see her and catch up although her ds was disappointed that Sam wasn't there!

Probably going to try and tackle some xmas shopping, or at least having a look to see what we might get, tomorrow pm...

Hope those I haven't mentioned are OK! Big hugs to you all xxx

LisaLessLumpy · 17/11/2008 20:43

Inzi - how much of a mess did Jane get into?
Ben gets in such a mess eating yoghurt/choc pudding himself. He has also started insisting on feeding himself and if you refuse he has a mini tantrum and refuses to eat it

Also he had a 3 hour sleep this afternoon I had to wake him up in the end. He slept from 1.30 after I picked him up from nursery till 4.30pm. He has also gone down to bed no problems at 7.30pm. God knows how early he will be awake tomorrow!

Oh and we are going to need another topic title soon

Mine · 17/11/2008 21:01

hi everyone!
gosh you guys are so very chatty!! I missed loads of things...... whats the deal with the Sept thread???? Am very nosey

Inzi i'm very of you and DH TTC.... it must be contagious
We're having 'fun' but its a bit early for us to TTC yet. Although i miss being pregnant already!!

Alicet ouch at the thumb. Hope it heals soon, but not too soon so you have to get back into work

well, the news from me is that Eren has taken 4 steps .... then he just kind of lunges at me all arms flailing! He's very proud of himself, and gives himself a clap!! I'm still amazed at how they learn these things almost overnight.
he has also cut one of his top teeth....... about time as i thought he was destined to look like a rugrat his whole life!

WWJC - i resigned abt 3 weeks ago and they didn;t 'accept' my resignation because they thought i was bluffing... they talked me out of it and promised to review my work load and reallocate my mags. But we are so short staffed that they couldn;t. Fastfoward 3 weeks and nothing has changed. So i resigned again but this time i was not up for any negotiations! I will leave by xmas and i feel sooo much better abt things.
I have already been headhunted for other jobs so i'll see how things go.

I'm a big I'm a Celeb fan but this year the line up is not that exciting is it.....?? i'll probably keep watching it though

alicet · 17/11/2008 21:52

Mine good luck finding a new job - if that is what you want of course! Always positive you're being headhunted though.

About the yogurt eating... KNow what you mean Lisa about the food refusal if not allowed to help! Adam has to have his own food that he can swipe at his plate and thereby redistribute the food all over the table and floor but hasn't got any purposeful eating sorted apart from with his hands! He tries bless him though and sometimes actually manages to get some on his poon before upending it on the way to his mouth! I am def a lot more chilled about the mess second time around though!!!

alicet · 17/11/2008 21:55

And on the theme of our little ones beginning to feed themselves I have started a shiny new thread before this one runs out (well noticed Lisa ) so that I can link it here: follow on piggies!

crochetdiva · 29/11/2008 20:23

Hello ... just running and back out again, to let you know that I am around!

Oh, and that if you sent me your email address for Secret Santat, that I have just done the draw (my floor is littered with scraps of paper ), and I have emailed you the details of your swappee (is that a word, or did I make it up? Hey ho!)

Thanks for writing about MMR - I had the letter a couple of weeks ago, and had forgotten all about it ... I'm having Mairwen done - I've seen what measles can do to a child - and I work with autistic children - and, as Alice said, all the docs I know have had their kids done!

Oh, and in the USA, which is totally litigation happy, there is no debate at all on MMR ...

Right, running away to have some quality time with dh - he was away in Dundee for a week, and I've been doing things every night this week - so I've hardly seen him!

Love to all!
