Mumpbump!!! You probably wont read this either but I hope you do and hope you will pop in occasionally and tell us how you are getting on.

Heinz; Welcome! We can go a bit quiet at weekends too..rl getting in the way...but in general we still stick around ..and I hope we will for a long time to come, these ladies all mean a great deal to me.

Dal; I'm thrilled to bits that you are feeling and sounding so positive. When I was on the abs I didnt get so positive, they just stopped the negative. I'm sure that if you start cutting down on them you will be just fine, and though I agree with your sil that it would probably be better to be off them before you get pg it certainly wont do any harm if you have actually got caught already..and wispas/chocolate is good for you

Stefka; I've got my fingers and everything else crossed for you tomorrow.Sending positive vibes up North to you.

Mine;Wow at Erens size!...my dinky lad is still in 9-12 month trousers, 12-18month stuff just falls off him/trips him up. We ignored Alex for 5 mins (was supposed to be 15 but didnt hold out enough most days) extra each morning.. he's still getting up far too early for my liking (6.30/7.00) but at least not at 5.30! I'm sorry that work is so dreadful for you, at least they offered to try to help I hope something more suited to you now comes up quickly and I'm terribly sorry about your poor Dad and for your sainted Mum...it is a dreadful condition to watch some one fall deeper and deeper into I think a talk with the gp is a good idea I hope he/she is helpful.

J20; Yes I'm one of the ones that havent left my lo yet...still bfing is one excuse ... but his sleep pattern (or lack of one) is another ..and dh is still adamant that we wont be trying for another so I'm enjoying every minute of having my baby..it isnt something I'll get to do again. We did get to go to the flicks on Saturday though "Quantum of Solace" 2 hrs of just dh & me time...most enjoyable

WWAJC;glad Anya is better
Alice; hope you get better soon too

got to go..someone is starting to grumble .. the usual 12/1 ish wake up...I should have gone to bed at 10!

Hi all

Saw the dr yesterday and I asked about having a c-section and she said she would support me due to my 2 not great births. She also pointed out that the 3rd degree tear could just open up again as it'll be less than 2 years between births. She said she didn't see a problem with requesting and expecting the consultant to say yes. I am very happy about it. I know it's not the easy answer and it will certainly make things more difficult as I'll have Ollie and Henry too but when she said 3rd baby's are generally bigger (OMG!) I said I think I'd better have a c-section as what would go wrong for the third time??

Ollie still at home with a runny tummy so we're back to the drs again this morning as he's not been right for about 4 weeks again

On the plus my lovely friend gave birth to her 2nd son last friday. She had a fantastic home birth...got up felt twingy, contractions started around lunchtime, getting so tough she went on the G&A at 3pm and Cian Joseph was delivered after her waters breaking and 3 pushes at 5.40pm. She looks amazing in the pictures!!!!

I am so but very, very for her!

Dal - am wondering if you're a little bit prgt????

Alice -hope you're feeling better soon xx

Mumpbump - HI!

Mine -sorry to hear of your dad's dementia

back later no doubt xxx

muppetgirl · 11/11/2008 08:12

Am hoping you got some sleep too Floria xxxx

alicet · 11/11/2008 08:28

Hello lovely ladies,

Well I'm still atg home in bed with a headache sure the computer is doing that no end of good but just wanted to pop on and say hello...

Mine - sorry you're still having a crap time at work and Eren's waking so early 5.30 is not funny. Also sending big hugs to you and your mum - will second Floria that watching someone you loe slowly deteriorate to the point of not knowing who you are must be truely devastating and something I hope and pray I never experience first hand x

Dal hope you had a lovely relaxing evening with dh. Glad to hear you're feeling more positive an dhope you get the counselling sorted soon

Floria hope you enjoyed Bond! Dh and I saw it on our day off last week and it was good escapist stuff I think although personally I probably prefer the old cheesy style Bond better even though Daniel Craig is definately very pleasing on the eye!

Muppet good news you feel happy about your birth chat with GP. I know a mate who was in your position of having a third degree tear who was strongly recommended to have a section. If you have any questions give me a shout and I am happy to send you my birth plan etc if you want...

Anyway I am off to get a bit of sleep - probably be back later for any of you who are about...

muppetgirl · 11/11/2008 08:46

Would love your birth plan Alice as any experience of c-sections would be great. Can I ask how you found coping with the 2 boys at home? I'm not sure how it will be or how much help I'll need afterwards... Ollie is fine but Henry is a different kettle of fish! How long till you can lift a heavy 21 month? I know you can't drive for 6 weeks

crochetdiva · 11/11/2008 09:05

blimey, I'm away for 2 minutes ...

Am home today as have finally given into this horrible horrible bug ...

I know I'm a bit late, but Congratulations Muppet - am absolutely made up for you - and I'm sooooooooo glad you're in a better place than last time.

As for names ... if we weren't doing the Welsh names thing, I would have loved the name Ruth ... apart from that, I'm stuck!

Anybody care to give me a synopsis of what else I've missed?

Oh, and please get in touch with me about Secret Santa if you want to do it - we'll have to get it sorted soon!

crochetdiva · 11/11/2008 09:08

I said I'd never do it, but I've just joined Facebook ... gulp!

HeinzSight · 11/11/2008 09:31

Wow this thread is GREAT!!!! I can't believe how many of you still post compared to September. (I do have a theory why it's dead )

Lisa sorry you had such an early start yesterday, am hoping you had something like a 'lie in' this morning!

Thank you to all of those that welcomed me! I'll endeavour to get to know you all. My DD was born on 17th September, so I'm only a few weeks away from Oct piggies x

TheLadyEvenstar · 11/11/2008 09:39

Heinz, my ds was born on the 18th of september....but was due the 15th october lol

alicet · 11/11/2008 10:05

Hello crochet! Just seen you on facebook... I am on there very sporadically to be honest but from time to time its nice to catch up with people i haven't seen in ages! Hope all is good with you

Muppet will happily send you the birth plan. Official advice is that you shouldn't lift anything heavier than your baby for at least 6 weeks and then gently build up to normal by 12. I started doing things like helping Sam off my lap and other gravity assisted stuff at about 4 weeks as I needed to know I would manage when my hlpe left at 7 weeks but I would advise you to take it VERY carefully - I have repaired too many hernias caused by people not taking it easy to not take this seriously! The hugabub was great - the best thing I had - as when Adam was asleep in it I could play with Sam as normal. I also found bf really tough but tbh I think if you could get that working it would be much easier than ff as at least you have a hand free to cuddle the other one / read to them etc. And I also had Sam in nursery 3 days a week which if you can afford I would strongly recommend. Probably the days you have Ollie about too he will help with amusing Henry. Good luck - it's hard but worth it!

alicet · 11/11/2008 10:07

Heinz / LES crossposted as this page was opn for ages before I got round to adding to it!

Heinz I have 2 boys - Sam who was born in Feb 2007 and my little October boy and th reason for me being here is Adam who was born on 2nd Oct

muppetgirl · 11/11/2008 11:30

Thanks Alice you're a star xx I have contacted Henry's nursery to see if they have any extra days and they can offer 1 more -Monday so he'll be in 3 days until Sept when Ollie would go back to school. I think I'll have to get some 'mother's help' type help from July as I do think 3 kids at home all the time on my own after a c-section would be just too much. I forgot Ollie breaks up from school at the beginning of July, bad planning on mine and dh's part

Hi Heinz! We're a mixed bunch here, some Sept births that should have been Oct, some oct that were oct and some Oct that were Nov and me, whose dates were dodgy at the start but as I was on this thread I stayed here depstie me having a Nov baby! I have Oliver who is 4.8, Henry who is1, born 5th Nov and I am 6 weeks prgt with dc 3, due July next year.

Just got back from the Drs with Ollie and she says that he has a virus that is mimicking his origional symptoms. She says he has glue ear also so we have ab's for that and ab cream fro his face. She syays if he's not better by the end of the week to come back. He's tired, very emotional/irrational, his glands in his groin and neck are up again and I just wish it would go away!!!

Love to all
xxx

muppetgirl · 11/11/2008 11:31

That should read Henry will be in nursery 3 days from beginning of July - Sept for 3 days. Not 3 days from now!

TheLadyEvenstar · 11/11/2008 11:43

Ok Girls I need your advice!!!

Zachary always slept in bed with me until Grant was made redundant in July. Then i took the side off his cot, pushed my bed right up beside it and we slept like that, so technically he was still in bed with me lol. Then we moved and he happily sleeps in his own cot BUT only after falling asleep in the living room in his travel cot.

I would like to try (i think) and get him into his and karls room (i think i do!!) what would you do?????????

Bearing in mind he is a mummys boy and wakes up at 7.15 saying "Hiya Mummy" and banging his bottle on his cot lol

Stefka · 11/11/2008 11:48

No news yet. I hope I do hear today as the waiting is killing me.

Welcome to the thread Heinz! What do you think happened to September then? We are pretty good at keeping this one active I think. I think this thread works because even if someone gets busy and drops off for a bit they are always welcomed back with open arms. Plus everyone is really supportive.

Hope you feel better soon Crochet - you can play on face book until you do!

I saw a wispa in the shop the other day and it made me think of you Dalry!

Mine I am so sorry things are so difficult for you right now. Dareh can be an early waker too. I sometimes have to nap when he does. I hope things get better for you soon.

Alice - how's the head? I totally agree with you about preferring the old cheesy bond films. The new ones are all a bit dark and serious. I like mine to be dashing with lots of and cocktails!

I haven't been away over night from Dareh although I do an evening class and run a youth theatre which means I leave the house just before bedtime. DH puts him down. He is usually BF at night so he does complain a bit but seems to cope. I would love to go away for a night though! Mind you I would probably just get drunk so it's probably for the best that I don't!

HeinzSight · 11/11/2008 12:03

I cannot remember the last time I had to have a thread open in two tabs to make sure I reply to everyone!!!!!! I'm actually slightly taken aback! Tis great

Hi back to TheLadyEvenStar, so your lad was born the day after my DD. Seems like yesterday huh!

Hi alicet, gorgeous profile pics. I must get mine back up, have a v similar one of Niamh being born my ec.

Hi muppetgirl, am sure we've bumped into each other before

Hi inzidoodle, TOTALLY agree about these post natal thread being a life line, hence me jumping from (dead) September to busy October. Sorry you've got a tummy bug

Stefka, I daren't say just in case I get linched!! But I was chatting with a Sept Mum on facebook and she agreed with my theory, she had stopped posting a long time ago.

I've got three DC, DS1 (12 next month ), DS2 (9) and DD 14 months (nearly). DH and I have been together for 15 years. I'm a SAHM and loving every minute of it

muppetgirl · 11/11/2008 12:08

Right Heinz, that's it....

I really want to know now!!!

LisaLessLumpy · 11/11/2008 12:08

Hope you get good news Stefka xx

Muppet - I had a c-section with Ben when Sam was 2 yrs 4 months so there was an extra 6 month gap between them which helped enormously (sorry) I healed very quickly which was great, I was driving again after 3 weeks and was pretty much back to normal at 4 weeks, so fingers crossed you will heal quickly too.

Crochet - what do you want to know for the Secret Santa thing? I'm all for it

Mine - so sorry to hear about your father

I hope those that are poorly are feeling better soon xxxx

Ben has been back to his normal self the past two days which is great, but they are both still getting up at 6am DH did the early morning today, I think we will just have to take it in turns till they start waking up at a sensible time

FloriaTosca · 11/11/2008 12:30

Stefka; I hope they get in touch soon too..I can't keep everything crossed like this all day!!! ..and you like your James Bond to be dashing with lots of ??what??? and cocktails ...in this one (quantum of solace)you definately get the cocktail, complete with recipie! along with Daniel Craigs ability to look fabulous in a suit and his full and sensuous lower lip ready to caress a naked back when the suit is unecessary...ooooh...I think I had better go for a cold shower

Tles; it isnt an irrevocable step putting him in his own room, you can always bring him back in with you if neither of you like it....in our case Dh insisted on Alex going in his room when he was 12 months, I resisted because I just knew it wasnt going to improve his sleep pattern and I was the muggins who would have to go trailing down the hallway every time he woke...in the end we have put a single bed in Alexs room and I sleep there when he is on one of his bad nights

Heinz;I forgot to say..I'm one of the due Oct 07 mums (5th) who was induced early (gd and high BP) so Alex is actually a Sept baby(26th) but, like Muppet, there was no way I was leaving this group.

oh flip..got to go...we are going to miss his lordships swimming lesson and typically he has just fallen asleep aaarrrggghhh!

alicet · 11/11/2008 12:49

Heinz!!!! I need to know now too! You will have to get used to us all being very nosy! We have a facebook group - if you don't want to post the reason here can you stick it there? see it here

alicet · 11/11/2008 12:53

Oh and LES I'm with Floria that if it doens't work you can always go back.

Lisa the early wakings are a killer. Unfortunately 6am or shortly after is pretty normal for Adam and Sam has started waking early sometimes too...

Inzi good luck with the house! We continue to get loads of viewings so its clearly priced right but the feedback is either 'needs too much work' (well yes thats why it says 'could benefit from updating') or 'too small' Keep your fingers crossed!

Stefka I think that should have been liking bond with cocktails and gadgets - thats what I like!!! Daniel Craig is def hot and makes up for it though Floria but what would be wrong with him in a cheesy Bond stylee film - he'd probably get his kit off more then too!!!!

Apparently the consequent Bond Films are going to get a little lighter on the humour side, now that they have bought it back down to reality. DC in a suit is a sight to behold phwoooaar! I have several pictures of him on my fridge door

I too would like to know the theory on the Sept thread, I even posted there but have no idea what it could be

BIG GROUP HUG to all you lovely ladies, I just love having this bond, long may it continue

alicet · 11/11/2008 13:13

Big group hug too although you probably wouldn't want it from snotty, headachy, unwashed me today !

I think you ladies are fab!
