We had a night away last night too. A black tie doo in Daventry. MiL had the boys from 12 noon yesterday, till 1pm today. They have completely knackered her

Not far off going to bed myself, went to bed at 2am, woke up at 5am and couldn't get back to sleep

Ben is suffering with this last double tooth coming through, he has done nothing but whine and grizzle and cry for the past few days, it is not affecting (or is it effecting? I can never bloody remember) his sleep or food though luckily.

Hope everyone else had a good weekend.

HeinzSight · 09/11/2008 21:39

Hi Lisa, glad you had a lovely weekend away, how great to have that break.

PS can I come and join the October thread, September is 'DEAD'! What's happened to it!

PPS hope Ben is feeling better soon, horrid when they've got sore mouths

alicet · 09/11/2008 21:40

lol Inzi nooo not an alcoholic....I had a good teacher at being able to hold my drink. And always go to bed when I feel I have had enough....well sometimes.

Yes leave goergey babes Inzi brother alone just because he is gorgeously lush

LisaLessLumpy · 10/11/2008 06:47

Hi Heinz

Course you can come over here. Know what you mean about the Sept thread, I stopped popping in a while ago because it was so quiet. We have our quiet days over here but all still pop in when we can

I'm grumpy this morning. Sam woke up at 6.10 and shouted me from his room, I was in a lovely deep sleep after only three hours the night before, and his shouting woke Ben up so now I am downstairs and being really mean, I'm making them watch gmtv becuase they got me up so early. Its a good job they are both at nursery this morning I feel so cross

TheLadyEvenstar · 10/11/2008 08:08

LLL, I felt the same way on Saturday. My nephew stayed over, not the worlds best sleeper. However when he and ds1 came barging in my bedroom at 3am I was far from pleased!!! apparently DN had had a bad dream and wanted to go home...well of course they woke Zachary up so I was far from happy and sent them both back to bed. I ended up sitting up with Zachary until almost 5am to be up and make a start out at 7am...guess what we didn't get away until almost 10. We went to legoland for the day and if i hadn't had the tickets then I wouldn't have gone.......I spent the entire day being a grump and wanting to sleep lol

Dalrymps · 10/11/2008 10:54

Morning ladies,

Welcome Heinz!

Inzi - that link was very funny, read it to dh and we were lol at it. Wow, Jane's a 4.5! I haven't had Dylan measured but am guessing he's about a .5 at the moment. Went to clarks to look at the shoes but they only do cruising shoes in a 3 and above so will have to wait a bit.

Oh, I don't know if I mentioned, Dylan is cruising now , he has stood on his own for a few seconds now and again too. he's also started crawling properly instead of the commando crawling he prefered before. Dh and I are so excited that he's nearly walking, these are exciting times, he brings so much joy

LLL - sorry your lovely sleep was interrupted. Dylan woke at 8.30 this morning which is perfectly reasonable but I still felt a bit grumpy and snoozy as he woke me in the middle of a dream, I always find it harder to 'come round' when I wake during a dream.

Les - don't think I'd be too impressed at being woken at 3am either!!!

Stefka - Forgot to say, good luck on the job. I've got my fingers, toes, and everything else i've got crossed for you!

J20 - hope you got over youe hangover.

Alicet - sounds like you had a great weekend. Sorry you've got a cold, just about getting over mine and now dh has it!

WWAJC - Wow, battle of the brains again eh, those questions sounded a bit tough! Glad Anya is feeling better, it's awful when they're ill.

Muppet - How you feeling? your news has sunk in and i'm VERY excited for you

Mine - how you doing? Yuo finished your job yet?

Apricotle - How are things in the apricot household?

Floria - sorry you have been having disturbed nights, has there been any improvement? I really feel for you, I am rubbish at coping with no sleep!

Strawberry - How you doing?

Well dh and I have been discussing all the in's and out's of baby making over the last couple of weeks .

I spoke to sil about my AD's (she is a psychologist) and she advised that it would be best to come off them before ttc as if I try to come off them once pregnant it may be harder as my hormones will be all over the place.

I explained to sil that I have been feeling great lately and dh and I really feel the time is right to ttc. Anyway I am going to go see the doc this week. Sil advised that if we really want to try soon maybe the thing to do would be to slowly cut down on the AD's over the next month and see how I feel, if I feel ok then I can come off them and ttc , obviously if I start feeling down i'll just up the dose again and wait a bit. I'm really happy with this plan and excited about ttc!

Only thing is, dh and I got carried away in the last week, ahem, 4 times !!! I've convinced myself I can't have gotten pg though cause i've only just finished AF and usually you don't ovulate till the middle of the month do you?!

Well, thats about all the news I have for now, hello to anyone I have missed, chat soon x

was supposed to say that Dylan's shoe size is 2.5, not .5!

OP posts:
TheLadyEvenstar · 10/11/2008 11:34

should have added that DN is 8 and as you know ds1 is 10 and knows better to come in my room unless it is a matter of life and death lol

muppetgirl · 10/11/2008 13:26

hellooowww alll!!

Our internet has been awful and both computers died on friday so I've not been around for a while. I feel like a builder who builds for a living but lives in a falling down house in that dh can save the bank he works for £££££££'s as he designs risk management i.t. stuff yet our computers at home are always failing!

Dal - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HENRY'S BRIO TURTLE!!!! It is fab and he loves it.

Going to have a read of all you've been up too xxx

J2O · 10/11/2008 13:44

Yet again, am posting t bring you back up to the top of my threads, dunno why i bother posting on other things!

i'm nearly over my hangover, still tired though, seems a lot of us went out over the weekend. I'm shocked att hose who haven't had nights to themselves yet, i really do not know how you do it!

Dalrymps · 10/11/2008 13:54

Muppet - Hi there! Glad he likes it . glad your internet is back too, don't know what i'd do without mine!

Off out for a walk with sil, back later x

OP posts:
TheLadyEvenstar · 10/11/2008 13:57

lol J20 that would be me!! Not had a single night away from Zachary, in fact I have not left him with anyone for more than 20mins max.... but then as you know he is a touch of a mummys boy hee hee.

I don't mind it really.

J2O · 10/11/2008 14:02

yeah LES, you and Inzi..and FT maybe, mind you, Zach right through most of the time doesn't he (lucky *&^) I just don't know how you do it, after a few weeks of no break, i'm tearing my hair out! did you get your laptop sorted?

TheLadyEvenstar · 10/11/2008 14:08

yes he sleeps right through...he did go through a few weeks of waking in the night when we first moved here. But thats all sorted now.

Laptop going to cost £200 to repair, so I am trying to get a loan to buy Grant a new one for xmas....I just want to slap the people who did it to be honest.

Karl keeps bugging me about meeting up with you and Richie and the girls.... seems you made an impact on him lol....Richie could have competition lmao.

We must sort something out.

Who is in London and free on Saturday? Am sending dp and ds1 fishing and don't think i want to sit in all day lol.

alicet · 10/11/2008 14:26

I'm with you too J2O - I love my boys more than life itself but would go mad without an occasional break... Understand that people have all sorts of reasons for not leaving their los though - some practical and some emotional - and I think it's a very personal thing - no point doing it because others tell you to if you're not going to enjoy the break I guess...

Well to add to the cold I woke with a pounding headache this am so am in bed trying to shake it off. At least today as a work day - there is no way I could have coped with looking after the boys. asn't the best one to take off either as we're really busy on Mondays so got up and got showered and dressed before realising that not being able to move my head without it throbbing probably wasn't compatible with operating on people - owuldn't want anyone I cared about treated by someone in that condition - so should probably stay home!

Anyway off to sleep a bit more and back later...

alicet · 10/11/2008 14:28

Oh and Inzi they say to get feet checked after 4-6 weeks but Sam has always had them for at least 4 months if not longer before needing new ones so try not to panic!

J2O · 10/11/2008 14:31

hehe bless him, i'll let you know when we have a free weekned, although christmas hols are probably our best bet to meet up tbh.
Not able to claim on the insurance then? Oh, haven't they admitted it yet? thats its a shame to lose a friendship over it.

Alice-poor you, its horrible being ill, it inteferes with life so much! All did lasrt week was go to college on Tue and stayed in all week because i felt rubbish, life just passed me by. i hope you feel better soon

TheLadyEvenstar · 10/11/2008 14:59

J20 Christmas Hols would be best for us too.

Mine · 10/11/2008 21:46

hello lovely ladies (waves)

not been able to post properly for ages, but i have been reading and catching up.

Sorry for those that are not feeling well...... colds and hangover!!

We got DS his first pari of proper shoes too this weekend.. Eren is 4F.. although i thought they were a bot snug but the lady at Clarks things they are fine... me thinks he'll need a new pair in a month. Eren has super sonic growth. He needs to wear 24month clothes the little fatty!

Stefka - i have my fingers crossed that you hear good news from the job interview!! Hope tomorrow you can tell us the good news.

WWJC - sounds like you'll be a regular on TV!! You should try out for Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.. more money in it

Muppet how was Ollie's party...?? I'm so envious of you being PG. I cna;t wait to have another. I really enjoyed most of my pregnancy but we have decided to wait until next summer to try again

Dal - glad you're feeling better and the ADs are helping. I made an appointment to see the GP abt this, i'm not feeling any better, in fact i'm getting more symptoms of depression. Work is not helping, i think its making it worse.

Well, i resigned a couple of weeks ago, but they didn't 'accept' it. They said hey would try and make things easier and better for me, but it hasn;t happened yet. Its busier, harder and ever more stressful. I hate very minute of it. At first i thought i was struggling because i wanted to spend more time with Eren, but the job is far too stressful and not really suitable for someone with a child. My industry is not very family friendly to say the least.
I've just started updating my CV to see if i can find something more local and cut out the commuting.

Lots going on in RL....... dad's dementia is getting worse, mum is coping but is trying to hold it together and look after everyone as usual. She is a true super woman.

Eren still hasn;t caught up with the clocks changing and is still getting up at 5.30am... yawn!

Hello to everyone i haven;t mentioned

Dalrymps · 10/11/2008 22:15

Hey Mine - if work is worse I would get out of there, no point doing something that makes you so unhappy.

I would recommend going to see the doc about feeling depressed. I would try to make sure that if they do offer you ad's that they offer counselling too. Even if there is a long waiting list and you feel better by the time you get it, it will do you good to talk over why it happened to prevent future depression iyswim.

I got my letter from the counsellor today to ask what time of day is best for me, hopefully i'll get an appointment soon

I am officially addicted to wispa's, just thought i'd share that with you all

Alicet - hope your headache has gone

i'm having a cosy evening with dh on the sofa with out duvet ahhh.

Gonna go chill with him now, chat soon x
