Happy Birthday Ben and Shannon!
Hope you had great parties today!

Ours went ok - no thanks to the weather though, which poured down all day, so we squeezed into our tiny house, or stood under a gazebo in the freezing rain. Until everyone went, when it typically brightened up!
Still, all the kids were so well behaved, and everyone seemed to have a good time. Anyone want a burger or a hotdog - there are loads left!!!!

And Olly would like to say a massive thankyou to whichever kind Oct 07 mumsnet mum & baby bought him the megablocks He loves megablocks, so it was a really fab present - thank you

Muppet - hope you?re feeling better
J20 - take no notice of the meanies, hope you all had a great party today
Mine - glad your mum had a good time at the cinema with you
Stefka ? what a lovely SIL (not!) ? Dareh is obv far more intelligent with his speaking!
Inzi ? hope you have a great holiday

Hello to everyone else! Off to eat some birthday cake leftovers now?. [stuffing my face emoticon]

Stefka · 05/10/2008 21:56

Glad you had a good day strawberry!

My other brother just got off the phone. He also has a wee one the same age - we all had babies at the same time! Anyway he said he wants to come through for the birthday too. Will be great to see them but that means I have potentially 12 adults, two teenagers and four babies coming to our very tiny house. Not sure if I can cope with that. So much for our quiet family day

Dal; I was lucky and didnt get any noticable side effects from my ads but they didnt work instantly, they gradually took effect, and levelled me off feeling just ok,(esp after I was upped to 20mg) not exactly happy...but they are not "happy" pills, I felt that they stopped the worst feelings but also they seemed to stop any highs too..as if they got your brain chemistry in balance until you could balance it for yourself (I have no medical knowledge, this is just how it felt to me iyswim)....coming off them was different for me than for most, I was on them because of losing babies and came off them to ttc again and was pg with Alex within 2 weeks of stopping so I didnt notice any particular drop in mood as I had "hope," though my anxiety levels were sky high for obvious reasons... I felt they did not "fix" anything, just gave me a balanced time until the things that caused my problems were resolved or could be faced without so much pain...If you are not feeling more balanced yet then perhaps your gp will think it a good idea to try the higher dosage when you next see him/her.

Well we had a lovely afternoon chez wwajc and Anya, celebrating her birthday a couple of days early and who is looking lovely and cruising very confidently round the furniture. Alex gave her a very gentle kiss [ahhh emoticon]which didnt impress the birthday girl one bit so he went off to play with all her new toys. WWAJC I hope Anya enjoyed her party and you didnt have too much work to do after we all left.

Stefka; lol at Darehs first word. How about a day out at the park, bring your own picnic party? One of the girls on a tight budget here did it, she chose a park with a bandstand if it rained (which it did) and all she provided was cake, kids had a fab time, adults enjoyed it too and anyone who thought she was being cheap didnt come (and missed a good time)...plenty of room for everyone and best of all she didnt have any clearing up to do!

LisaLessLumpy · 06/10/2008 20:21

Thanks, I was very pleased with the outcome I wouldn't want to do cakes as a business it is far too stressful, I like doing them as presents for family and friends, I have now done 9 cakes since 2006 these include mickey mouse, Dora the Explorer, In the night garden, a christening cake, hen party cake, Sam's rocket cake in June and two barbie princess cakes but boy are they hard work and time consuming. It would probably be easier if I had more space and all the right gear but I already have two cupboards full of stuff and I need more space but don't have it I do enjoy it though especially when I see how pleased people are with them

Muppet if I could mail cakes in one piece to all of you on here I would

My family have already started putting their orders in now though, my cousins have an 18th and 21st next year and have asked if I will do them one and my niece is 3 in December so that's another one and so on

LisaLessLumpy · 06/10/2008 20:23

OMG - missed out Happy Birthday to Olly for yesterday

A BIG BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLLY

Am I the only one who was just going to buy a cake from the shop

Dalrymps · 06/10/2008 22:12

Wow LLL, amazing cake, looks very tasty too!

The 1 year pics are lovely, you look so happy and Ben looks soooooo cute!

Dylan started kissing us today, dh was holding him and bringing him towards his face and kissing him and he started pouting and sticking his little tongue out to kiss him back. I tried it and he kissed me too , so adorable. He also pulled himself up on my legs to standing and then let go and blalanced for a second, has never done that before!

I've booked an appointment to see the doc on wed about upping my AD's to the next dose. Still feeling quite down and demotivated some days (today being one of them) so I think 20mg will be better.

Dylan has a blood test with the paed in the morning so an early start for us, it's just one the paed wanted to do to make sure there is no underlying cause for his slow weight gain. He doesn't think anything will come back but he wanted to check to be on the safe side. We have to be there for 8.45am, i'm not good at early mornings, Dylan usually wakes between 8 and 8.30 so i'll have to drag myself out tomorrow!

I might get the paed to weigh him too as he's been eating well for the past week and a half and feels like he's gained a bit so i'm interested to find out how much!

Hi to everyone, hope you've all had a nice day, chat soon x
