calcium deficiency would make sense sputnik, as calcium absorption is one of the things that is compromised in coeliacs, and my diet has been less than perfect recently .

Got some charity shop bargains for the baby this afternoon, including a junior jasper conran shirt, a pair of brand new dungarees from next, some next combat trousers and a mothercare coat which is practically brand new....all for the princely sum of £3.25

bad news here is our shower is well and truly fucked so we need to buy a new one

bumper meant to say ARSE about the car; hope it isn't too pricey to fix.

natty, I think it's procedure for A&E if they have seen a child three times within a 12 months period. My sister had a visit from social services, as her very active, but accident prone DS had been in four times with various bits of him damaged. Try not to worry about it too much; it's just routine.

Right, off to look for a new shower!

You bargain queen Daisy. Hope you don't get the same comments and looks about the Jasper Conran that we get. We bought a JC top from the Debenhams sale for £3 or less (can't remember now). It is lovely. But it's a little baggy at the back of neck so when she wears it it is easy to see the label, and I always get people saying stuff or looking at me like I think I'm so great because my DD is in a JC top!

LackaDAISYcal · 28/08/2008 15:31

lol jammy, maybe I'll get virgil's ear pierced with a diamante stud in it as well to complete the look.

clothes are clothes ffs........designer ones are just made in a better class of sweatshop

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 28/08/2008 15:34

The junior JC clothes are lovely....DD wears them a lot as our Debenhams takes 70% off some lines and I can pick up such bargains. I'd never buy any of it full price though.

HellHathNoFury · 28/08/2008 15:45

DS LIVES in sainsburys clothes.
And I don't care.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 28/08/2008 16:01

We were given a big bag of socks from a friend before DD was born. One pair was from Ralph Lauren. We were a bit but they were the only pair to stay on! I was actually impressed. Didn't stop them getting poop on them though

LackaDAISYcal · 28/08/2008 16:01

fury we get a lot of stuff in sainsbury's as well. I think it's really good quality (DSs school trousers from there have lasted a whole year and are still going whereas the ones we got in Mothercare wore through at the knees very quickly) and much better fit as well than stuff we have had in Asda. I also buy t-shirts etc for myself in Sainsbury's; much as I'd like to shop in Boden all the time, I just can't afford it.

OP posts:
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 28/08/2008 16:03

Fury, apart from one pair of next trousers I needed that day, Sainsburys is the only place we've bought full price clothes from for DD. Everything else is sale bargains or 2nd hand. I also don't care.

foxythesnowfox · 28/08/2008 16:06

nowt wrong with Sainsburys.

Aunty Flo was due 4 days ago. She never even called to say she wasn't coming.

Selfish cow.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 28/08/2008 16:08

Foxy?! Don't tell us you're cubbed up??

LittleMissNorty · 28/08/2008 16:13

ooohhhhh exciting

have you done a test?

foxythesnowfox · 28/08/2008 16:13

bloody hope not.

Did a Boots test on day it was due (monday), and again the next morning. Both -ive.

I'm never late. 29 days at a push.

Am still bf, but definately ovulated as its quite uncomfortable.

So I have no idea.

Did the deed last day of my last period. Irresponsibly admittedly. But two negative tests can't be wrong.

It was quite funny, at the airport with 4 kids, sneaking a test to the cashier in Boots. Did it in the loo, thought it would be hilarious to meet DP off the plane shouting "I'm PREGNANT".

but apart from comedy effect at that moment, I'm not so keen.

LackaDAISYcal · 28/08/2008 16:35

foxy........fingers crossed for a definate negative (in the form of Auntie Flo arriving at last) soon.

OP posts:
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 28/08/2008 16:37

One of my aunts had 5. 2 boys, twin boys, then finally a girl. Not sure how she managed.

LittleMissNorty · 28/08/2008 16:54

My sister is about to pop her 6th.

fingers crossed for you Foxy.....

Sputnik · 28/08/2008 17:05

Sounds like you're ok Foxy. Fingers crossed anyway.

HellHathNoFury · 28/08/2008 18:56

Good god Foxy!!

negative tests though... if you are 4 days late urely the'd show?
I am one of 7. 2 were adopted, admittedly, but mum had 5 of us.

YYAAAAAAYYYYYYYY

Whatever bee has been in DS's bonnet for the last 2 weeks has gone, and tonight I had my lovely, funny, happy sweet little man back.

LackaDAISYcal · 28/08/2008 19:36

has it been teeth fury? MMR hangover?

DD has been miserable all day today, probably due to lack of sleep last night, but woohoo...all the children (it feels like there are more than just two of them, lol) are in bed and I'm wondering what I need to eat for tea. My appetite has gone awol.....

Sputnik, I think I'm going to get a close baby carrier, but there is someone on my AN thread interested in yours . How much do you want for it?

OP posts:
Sputnik · 28/08/2008 19:52

I was thinking maybe £35 including postage, that's 1/2 price. 2 out of 3 of the bits have never been used.

HellHathNoFury · 28/08/2008 19:58

Daisy it may have been teeth. Not MMR tho, he hasn't had that yet.

I buy almost all my clothes from sainsburys too! They are really good value I think, and yes they last for yonks. I bought DS some t shirts from Next which fell apart, the cheapy ones from sainsbos didn't!

NattyThomasAndEllen · 28/08/2008 20:13

i buy all my kids clothes from primark, george at asda, sainsburys, peacocks and tesco. why spend loads on stuff that they grow out of so quick?
i would rather be able to get them 5 outfits on my budget then one from next!!
i have got a few bits in charity shops, not alot in our ones round here tho. got a laura ashley dress for ellen the other week though for 2 quid!

foxy get a first responce, to put ur mind at rest. ifs thats negative u'll be fine.
boots always give me negative when pregnant i did on the other day (sunday i think) at same time as first responce, no line, but was a faint one on first responce.

but then im a testing obsessive lmao!

LackaDAISYcal · 28/08/2008 20:16

Hmmm......

I'll pass it on Sputnik.

LOL at this fantastic thread from Trace

OP posts:
NattyThomasAndEllen · 28/08/2008 20:20

daisy i have 3...

LackaDAISYcal · 28/08/2008 20:31

lol natty......you'll have one for each baby soon

OK Sputnik.......SOLD , and if I find I don't use it much I can always punt it on.
Do you want paypal or a cheque?

oooh, and what colour is it?

My spacebar is fucked. It has been sticking, so I took it off and there was a loose bit of clear plastic underneath it at one side. I have removed said bit of plastic and the gubbins looks the same at both sides, but it still keeps on jamming if I press it at that one side (which given the shinyness of the key, is where I always press it). Tis driving me bonkers.

OP posts:
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 28/08/2008 20:47

We had a chinese tonight and just as I got back from collecting it jamlet woke But she went back to sleep quickly after calpol and calgel (Unlike last night when it took 2 blinkin' hours ) Except I shouldn't be because I'm sure it's teething. Feels like she has big lumps just under the gums at the back left, top & bottom so molars I guess? Poor thing
