Hi Storm.
Hi Fairy.

Ohforfoxsake · 11/09/2008 20:27

Hello everyone

Hi DKMA, you've been quiet. Whats been happening? Are you anywhere near Manchester?

Bedtime just takes longer and longer....

DKMA · 11/09/2008 20:42

Hi Foxy!
I've been a busy bee ............. work has been mega!
I've been in Manchester Monday (day and night), Tuesday day and Wednesday afternoon!!
I'll be back there next week - Tuesday all day and night and all day Wednesday!
Seem to be spending a lot of time there these days!
I've got a 'Gala Dinner' on Tuesday night ............... so I've got a new frock!
Met up with our big big big boss on Monday night and it seems that I didn't need to control myself (by not sitting on his knee and licking his face) as he seemed more than happy to lick my face iykwim! .
Any more joy with house hunting??

Ohforfoxsake · 11/09/2008 20:46

oooh, glad you two managed to not lick each others faces!

I was asking about Manchester as I might be up doing a reccy. On my own. Overnight.

DKMA · 11/09/2008 20:47

Wowzers lady!!
On your own!!!!!
Can I come and play?

TALLULAHBELLE · 11/09/2008 20:48

Hi everyone. Is Storm someone I should know I get confused when folk change their names especially as I've been gone soooo long. Anyway, tis lovely name & thanks for your kind advice.

DKMA · 11/09/2008 20:56

Hi Tallula!
I think Storm used to be MHD?
Don't know if that helps or just adds to your confusion?!

FrazzledFairyFay · 11/09/2008 20:59

Hi everyone, Storm was MotherHurdicure.

TALLULAHBELLE · 11/09/2008 21:11

Ahh MotherHurdicure. Thanks that clears up the confusion. Loving your new name Missus.

Ohforfoxsake · 11/09/2008 21:31

LackaDAISYcal · 11/09/2008 21:51

OP posts:
DKMA · 11/09/2008 21:57

Whoop whoop ........... lets go crazy

Ohforfoxsake · 11/09/2008 22:06

Its a Tues/Weds trip. In October. Not sure when exactly, its a bit of a PITA having to arrange it through DP.

LackaDAISYcal · 11/09/2008 22:15

October might be pushing it a bit for me....but wouldn't it be a hoot if I went into labour in the middle of lunch with you two?

LackaDAISYcal · 11/09/2008 22:18

It was seven years ago today that I found out I was pregnant with DS.

Not a happy day all round really, as I sobbed my heart out at work, watching the twin towers collapsing on the boardroom TV, and wailing whilst thinking "what kind of a world is this to bring a child into?"

And I couldn't even tell anyone why I was crying!

Ohforfoxsake · 11/09/2008 22:20

I don't see a problem with that - of course I'd have to pull rank and be the number 1 MW to DKMAs no 2 mw (on account of quantity of chldren), but I think we'd do a brilliant job.

Even a bit pissed.

Ohforfoxsake · 11/09/2008 22:25

x-post obviously.

I wonder if its one of those times you never forget where you were when you heard the news?

I remember thinking the same. I was 7 months pg, facing life as a single parent, watching the news in the office I was temping in. Wondering what the hell was happening in the World and in my life.

LackaDAISYcal · 11/09/2008 22:42

foxy. You were so right about our lives following a similar path!

but....all's well that ends well.....and I've very nearly forgiven DH now

right am off to bed.

had to call DH to come rescue me in IKEA earlier as I couldn't push the trolley any further and my pelvis is sooooooore again. I also did classic pregnant bird thing. Ordered a mattress topper, then forgot to pay for it at the checkout; wasn't till loading the DCs in the car that I remembered it and we couldn't be arsed going back in, and I had also mislaid the order form......silly cow!

night all xx

OP posts:
DKMA · 11/09/2008 23:28

Oh - the joys of Ikea

I was skiving off work (was in a job I hated) when the twin towers went down and was a bit hysterical as I didn't know where my dad was and there was a plane going mental over pensylvania - he does a load of flying with his job - turns out 2 of his work mates died on that flight .

Oh yes - I can see the Manchester meet up now............. meet up in the bar of Harvey Nics where Foxy and DKMA proceed to get hammered on mojito's and Daisy is embarrased to be seen with such lushes who are clearly on 'day release' from normal life..........Daisy then goes into labour........Foxy delivers Virgil safeley into the world............Harvey Nics provide free stuff to Daisy and Virgil for ever ..........DKMA fits the isofix seat base she has with her for Daisy - pops the seat on.............pops baby in seat.........bish bosh bash...........Daisy goes home...........6 hours later Foxy and DKMA are in some dodgy nightclub dancing like pissed mums amd wetting the bays head!

Sounds great

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 12/09/2008 08:12

LOL at your Manchester meet up fantasy DKMA

I was at work when the twin towers incident happened. We didn't have a tv in our area, but my boss had been over to the patient section where they had a tv on the waiting room and we couldn't believe what she was telling us when she came back.

Woo hoo. It is our 10th Wedding Anniversary today Ten years ago it was pissing down as me, my bridesmaid, my best mate, my mum and my sister headed for the hairdressers. Thankfully it got out nice in the afternoon. DH has the afternoon out so we are going out for a lovely lunch with Jamlet.
