Sputnik · 10/09/2008 21:28

I'm off on my hols tomorrow folks Only 4 days though. I am shattered from getting everything ready.

LittleMissNorty · 10/09/2008 21:31

Oh blimey, hope Chole is OK....sounds scary.

My GP rung tonight, the Consultant at the MH unit told her it was perfectly safe to prescribe me ADs and she rung to tell me a prescription was waiting for me at reception.....she's given me enough for 2 months and can order another 4 months on repeat prescription without having to go back ....I will have given birth by then

LittleMissNorty · 10/09/2008 21:31

Coming to Wales Sputnik?

LittleMissNorty · 10/09/2008 21:33

Daisy, you should be taking it easy....made me feel tired just looking at your day....I came home knackered and all I've done is sit on my arse in front of a microscope all day!

Scotland won footie...thank fuck for that...life is very miserable when they lose

Fairy, that hotel looks lovely

Sputnik · 10/09/2008 21:37

That's good news Norty. And at least she admitted she was wrong. You must have sown some doubt in her mind. are you still going to change?

I am off to Ischia, same as last 3 years!

LittleMissNorty · 10/09/2008 21:41

Well obviously the consultant told her she was being a prat.....but I'm quite surprised there is no monitoring / follow-up / dose lowering before birth / asking if I intend to BF.....step by step

fingers crossed they make me feel better.

Excuse my geography ignorance (was crap at school) but where is Ischia?

Sputnik · 10/09/2008 21:45

Island in the Bay of Naples. It has thermal waters, as well as beaches obv.

When I die and go to heaven (as I will, for sure ) it will look something like this

LittleMissNorty · 10/09/2008 21:50

mmmm sounds fab

Have a lovely time

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 10/09/2008 21:51

Oooh, can I come to heaven with you Sputnik? It looks lush!

Sputnik · 10/09/2008 21:54

When I am rich I'll go and stay in the hotel there. We can have a meet-up!

LackaDAISYcal · 10/09/2008 21:55

norty, you should still push for a referral, as depending on the AD, you will need to come off it slowly before the birth to avoid any possible side effects in the baby....fluoxetine can cause BP problems in the baby iirc (although no-one told me that last time and I took them until DD was born)

Still at least your GP has had her knuckles rapped by the consultant! she should want to see you back before two months are up though to make sure you are doing OK. She doesn't sound like the best GP in the world ever!

You should move to Leeds; it's a fantastic place to have MH issues . There must be something in the water here, but at least the local MH services are pretty good.

trace said on her thread that they were taking Chloe to A&E. I'll send her a text in the morning if she hasn't posted.

Right...night all.....if I can heave my bulk off the sofa and upstairs to bed!

justbeme · 10/09/2008 23:10

Hi Ria - Im just finishing reading the thread and then Im signing off - had a busy day and my eyes are tired.
How are you?/ Long time no hear!!

justbeme · 10/09/2008 23:13

Glad you're getting things sorted Norty.

Poor Chloe, hope she is ok.

Hi everyone else!!

Have signed up today for the local Gym/swim for a free 7 day pass- have booked in 4 sessions at the creche for the week after next - thats going to be one achy week!!

Oh yes and L is tottering around like a good un now!!

sillyRiaforgothernickname · 10/09/2008 23:20

Hi and bye JBM.

Oh it's so good to be back. I haven't had time to catch up (and probably never will) as DH only loaded the new modem 10 minutes ago.

I am being super-step-mum this week. We are three hours in... (DSS is 19 next month so it's not going to make much difference whether I'm crap or not, but we are working on confidence, self-worth and getting ajob).

DH's scan as horrendous, worse than MRI apparently and now his wee is flourescent (TMI) because of the radiation, results in a couple of weeks - watch out Daisy!!!

We had a whole day with no children today (to do the hospital). I was completely lost. we didn't speak to each other for an hour!

It's silly me talking to myself so I'll gfo. I hope you are all well and I look forward to being back in the thick of it

LittleMissNorty · 11/09/2008 08:04

Welcome back Ria ....you have been missed....

FrazzledFairyFay · 11/09/2008 10:36

We missed you Ria

FrazzledFairyFay · 11/09/2008 11:17

Just seen an update on Trace's thread, from Phoenix. Chloe is still on a drip in hospital. I have asked her to send Trace our love and tell her that we are all thinking of them.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 11/09/2008 12:52

Hi Ria. Good to see you back, sorry I missed you last night.

Poor Chloe and Trace. Hope they bounce back soon.

Been to dentist this morning. I may need root canal treatment I have to make an appointment for treatment, which will be £140 and that might be enough, or it may indicate that I need the actual root canal treating in which case I'll need more treatment which will take the bill up to £275 And a visit to the hygienist is required, and I had to pay £26 to be told all this. DH came too, and he is being referred to the hospital for a biopsy . He's got some sore patches in his mouth that she thinks result from grinding and clenching his teeth through stress, but thinks that may have resulted in some condition that needs close watching as it can turn malignant The biopsy will reveal if he does have this condition or not. What a great visit that turned out to be.

LackaDAISYcal · 11/09/2008 14:47

yay Ria...we missed you

a big sloppy mwah, mwah from me too!!

Ouch jammy, at the price and the treatment. And poor DH . Hopefully it's nothing sinister.

Poor Chloe and Trace; it never seems to let up for them. Chloe is such a spirited wee thing as well.....really lovely and smiley considering all she has been through.

Norty, I've not heard of that one either and couldn't find much on google either. I did have a really good website for searching drug interactions etc, but can't find the link anymore. And there is a place in Newcastle, neonatal tetralogy unit or some such, that you might be able to access via your NHS connections as it's for NHS professionals only. If nothing else, call your GP and ask for the name of the consultant at the MH unit and then talk to him/her directly.

hey jbm...gym trial sounds good. I love getting things for free.

Nesting continues apace here...farking hormones
