Horseygirl congratulations! It must be a shock, how are you and dp feeling? You will cope and we will support you all the way

Lucky me me me!

So that is two of us plus ds and dd

Bluebell where are you!

Amani do you fancy coming?

If it is the two of us you need to consider whether you want to come all the way or postpone Lucky. it is easy or me to travel, but a long journey for you!

LuckySalem · 23/08/2008 20:34

yeh he went this morning in the short time I knew him I fell in love with him.

LuckySalem · 23/08/2008 20:38

MM - if it turns into just the 2 of us then I think best to postpone till more of us can go as I'll prob only be able to make the long journey once (HUGE FUEL BILLS)

poltesco · 23/08/2008 21:41

congrats horseygirlm ust be abit daunting but i'm all will work out.

wow keeponswimming thats alot of teeth.

very envious all those who have been on their hols we're still waiting to go camping down the beach with dss's dsd not keen on camping no electric for hair straighteners, oh to be 16!

well dd seems to have got over her bug and is back to waking at 4 for feed and then wakes at 7.30ish. thank goodness the every hr, was completely exhausting and making dh very grumpy.
we're adjusting nicely in to a rountine scince finshing work, so much nicer wish i had never gone back but hayho whats done is done.
so funny dss1 has had he's hair cut and he looks like bon jovi in the 8os, funny how it all comes back , he is such a star so laid back takes dh winding him up and just shrugs it off!

poltesco · 23/08/2008 21:58

can anyone recommend a baby monitor needs to have range into garden. would really appricate reccomendations.

LuckySalem · 23/08/2008 22:01

"open windows" lol

Sorry poltesco but we don't have a baby monitor. I got rid of it when I realised I was running up the stairs when I wasn't REALLY needed.

poltesco · 23/08/2008 22:30

want to use it when we go to a wedding so dd can go down for asleep in our room and we can go down to the reception room!

LuckySalem · 23/08/2008 22:32

I've heard TOMY are normally ok.
Have you tried starting a separate thread?

Lilyloo · 23/08/2008 22:36

Poltesco don't put that as your reason though as mnet can be very
I don't really know as have cheapo tomy ones for all mine! Sorry

poltesco · 23/08/2008 22:54

poltesco · 23/08/2008 22:57

mm i guess ur right bad parenting!!!

Lilyloo · 23/08/2008 22:59

Poltesco imo better than having overtired baby in reception but these threads have habit of going awol!
Up to you but i would just find good monitor 'for garden'

OP posts:
horsygirl · 24/08/2008 09:21

Thanks for all your good wishes folks, its sunk in a bit more now and I'm starting to see the positives. We wanted a close age gap and I'm 37 already so didn't have all the time in the world to assume we'll have another.

Threw up at 1am

Morning sickness my arse.

justkeepswimming · 24/08/2008 10:09

well i suppose it's technically morning
Congrats to you horsy!!
I have a 20mo gap and although it wasn't entirely planned someone on here said not to worry as it was only a matter of a few months difference from what we had planned, calmed me down anyway.

poltesco - we have a tomy one that works in the garden, would think it would work fine, depends on the size of the building, how many floors, etc. and whether anyone else is using one - you will have to agree which channels!
if you get the one that has lights to show when baby is crying, then you would know even if the reception gets noisy.

oh lily - i fancy a train set soon, want one of those tables i think tho but poor you.

no lie in today, up at 5 and dh driving me crazy too so argh.

yes lots of teeth, ds1 was the same, lots early on and finished before 2! hope ds2 does the same as the older kids i know still teething struggle a lot more than ds1 did.

right, must get laundry on....

bluebell82 · 24/08/2008 10:37

congrats horseygirl!

Not feeling too great myself feel a bit fluey and sicky at the moment, don't think I can make tmrw sorry guys will definitely make the next one xxx

betterhalf · 24/08/2008 12:25

Wow Horseygirl, congrats to you. Hope you have a great pregnancy and morning sickness stays away.
Anyone else planning another baby soon? I''m just being extremely nosy! .

I'm not. Got my work cut out looking after 2 teenage lads plus my own LO. Plus I'm virtually past it now anyway. Will be 40 in January. Yikes!!

LaTrucha · 24/08/2008 13:48

WE want to try for another round January. Let's hope I don't have to spend another 7 months on the sofa.

betterhalf · 24/08/2008 16:00

I didn't realise you'd had it so bad LaTrucha you poor thing.

poltesco · 24/08/2008 16:10

i always wanted 2 kids but dh already has 3c and didn't really want anymore. so we compromised on 1 he's just had the snip, not really happy to have the door closed on it but he was absolutely not having anymore!i think if i had really pushed it probably would have been the end for us!

LuckySalem · 24/08/2008 17:27

We're gonna try for no2 around xmas.

justkeepswimming · 24/08/2008 17:37

planning to try for no 3 Jan 2010

bluebell - sorry to hear you're feeling grotty.

well, stopped taking pill nearly a week ago and i'm still being a snappy cow to dh
hope effects wear off soon (& it is the pill not my natural self!).

betterhalf · 24/08/2008 18:05

I'm on the implant and there are times during the month I'm a total snappy cow too! Also have put on about half stone since going on it. Don't know if it's that which is causing the weight gain or the choccies I'm shovelling into my mouth!

LuckySalem · 24/08/2008 18:32

Does anyone know for definate about tomorrow as I need to discuss it with DP.
