I was thinking we're getting quite a small bunch too but still lovely!

Colds here too, though mainly me. I can't seem to shake it. It's very sannoying as I'm finally getting some decent sleep but I still wake up feeling rubbish and like I need another twn hours. I slept from 10pm to 4.37 this morning (I'm being precise because I can't make up my mind whether this is a) nearly five o'clock= or b) half past four = ). I've no idea what Sabela did as DH was in charge and I was out like a light!

Don't worry Lucky - I wouldn't have paid for it either! I'm totally frustrated ATM as Sabela adores the soft play balls. I would love her to have one at home but they only come in pack of 100 - which I really don't want. It would be totally easy to steal one but I just can't bring myself to do it. I just think, 'and what if everyone did it, eh? eh?'. Supermarkets another kettle of fish. I never correct till discrepancies.

at Nathan's arm. Glad to know it's getting annoyning! I'm daunted at the idea of having another baby but really want one too. We're going to start trying next year. I think the firs tyear with two will be hellish but worth it after. Then there's the pregnancy illness and traumatic delivery to address. I'm inclined to plunge headlong and see how long it takes me to surface. The thing I'm not looking forward to is giving up bf. One step at a time.

Gingeme · 27/09/2008 11:50

Good morning ladies.
Everyone sounds in fine fettle today.
I'm very bleary eyed. Went out last night with rl friends to a pub ended up going for a curry with three blokes ok so one of my rl friends knew them previously. Got in about 1.30. Then at 4.05 ds4 woke crying took a good half hour to settle. Then ds5 woke at 5.55 which was good in one way because it means he slept through again I tried to keep him entertained till 7 when I just nudged dh hard and said 'George wants you'and went back to sleep I woke about 10 when dh bought ds5 back to bed for his sleep. I got up and dh and ds4 went back to bed . Just ds3 and I up now. Its so annoying because we were all meant to be having a day out at Willows Farm with pic nic and all that. Don't think thats happening now . Library and park I guess.
Well have a good one whatever your all doing xx

simpson · 27/09/2008 12:47

Hi all

God, DD has not stopped screaming all morning, just wish these teeth would hurry up and come through...

Went to a local book sale this morning and got a couple of books for DS. he is obsessed with any story with a wolf in ATM ie little red riding hood, 3 little pigs etc and i managed to get him a DVD of Little red riding hood for 40p!!

Had a bad night with DD last night as she woke au at 1am and after giving her a bottle she would not settle for AGES.

My mum is taking DD out to see DH later. Bit concerned as consultant has decided to reduce DH's medication already so playing the waiting game really...

LuckySalem · 27/09/2008 15:28

So last night. DD woke up at 4:45am at which point I gave up and took her into bed with me, bottle and slept till 8am.

So how do I settle her tonight? I'm determined that she goes back in her cot but I don't want another screaming marathon as that was horrid.
Also when do I stop taking her in our bed? I was thinking of giving it at least another week before adding that hurdle to her.

MrsMcJnr · 27/09/2008 15:35

Thank you all for your good wishes the line is still very faint but it?s there! I was trying to think of a good way to tell DH because last time I just waved the stick in his face at 4.30am! so I made him a G&T and broke the news as he fed DS his supper. DH was in shock said ?seriously? Really?? about 10 times so I showed him the tests and then he said ?is it mine?? ? he said he couldn?t remember getting up to much recently!

Dinner party was a bit tricky last night as I was dry (unusual for me) and so tired but no one seemed to notice!

Simpson ? I love the name Aaliyah too, it was our girl?s name choice for Xavier if he?d been a girl and we?ll use it this time if B2 is a girl, Isaac if it?s a boy we spent so much time on names last time that I can?t see the point in going through the process again! So glad to hear that DH seems better fingers crossed it?s long term.

JKS ? hope you feel much better soon x

Gingeme ? Sorry to hear than Edward bit George?s fingers Hope George keeps sleeping like that. What a wild woman you are!!

Lucky ? How do you find people react to Aaliyah?s name? can people say it? We have lots of problems with ?Xavier? we pronounce it ?x-a-vier?. Aaliyah the singer?s birthday was my due date with DS!! poor Aaliyah ? how is she today?

Betterhalf ? have a great trip

Madmouse ? all good with you? Yup, both excited and daunted! I have a blood clotting disorder so I need to take aspirin and inject heparin when pregnancy to keep the placenta alive. The healthcare issue is a bit tricky; DH is consulting until Jan so is not registered with the Social Security System yet, when he is Xavier and I will both be covered too but until then, we cannot become residents. Our EHICs cover us for emergencies but I may have to go down the E112 or Article 49 route for the birth if we are not residents by the birth but we should be. At the mo, we?ll have to go private for the Obs and Midwife. Beware ? I never had a period before I feel pg again!!

Hope you feel better soon Angechica

LaTrucha ? hope you feel better soon

LuckySalem · 27/09/2008 15:45

Once I say it they get it easily but anyone who reads it and tries to say it gets really confused and some of the ways people have said it have had me in stitches!

simpson · 27/09/2008 16:35

Lucky - I would definitely try and settle her in cot tonight. it might be easier 2nd time fingers X Just try and be relaxed about it and see what happens (easier said than done I know!!)

MrsMcjnr - Have you got over the shock yet!!?! LOL at what your DH said. Mine said something similar when I got pg with DS

I would still love to have another LO but under the circumstances probably not wise I know I will always regret it though.... May assess when DD is 18mths or so but it all depends on how DH is really.

Gingeme - Very of your night out!!

LaT - hope you fell better soon. Glad Sabela's sleep is improving

Madmouse, Angechica & JKS - hope you get better soon

simpson · 27/09/2008 20:19

Lucky - how did DD settle tonight??

LuckySalem · 27/09/2008 20:26

Tonight I developed a new bedtime routine around her and its worked tonight but we'll see whether its a fluke. I gave her dinner, played with her for abit, took her to get changed and played with her in her room. Put her to bed and fed her her bottle in her cot. She then smiled, turned over and went to sleep. just like she used to in our bed.

I don't know what i'll do if she wakes up again tonight yet.

simpson · 27/09/2008 20:50

Fingers X she will be good

My DD is VERY good at going to bed and has bottle in room before bed but is AWFUL for her daytime naps She battled for ages today and I gave up and put her in buggy and wheeled her round block instead...

LuckySalem · 27/09/2008 20:56

See I wanna get her in the habit of sleeping in her cot in the day but it doesn't work cos she screams and with her room being next to ours she'd easily wake DP up.

Just looked at some courses I'd like to do studying from home and it'll cost £1080!! Looks like I'll have to do 1 at a time but may take a while.

justkeepswimming · 27/09/2008 21:28

hey all

back in the land of the living tho it felt like a close one for a while, esp in the depths of last night
took imodium from about midnight and read MN on the sofa as i was keeping dh awake with serious to-ing and fro-ing to the loo will refrain from serious tmi but crikey it's a relief to feel human today. have lost about half a stone i reckon so will have to see if it stays off if i get my appetite back....

lucky - sounds like a good bedtime you've got going relax re daytimes, it will happen. try the same approach maybe and tell dp to wear earplugs just for one or two days...

simpson - seems a bit soon to be cutting back on meds but hope it works out....

right not going further than that with personals cos i'll be here all night but best wishes to our 2 newly pg ladies, any more on the way?!

LuckySalem · 27/09/2008 21:30

JKS Glad you're feeling better hun. Fingers crossed the weight stays off for you.

Gingeme · 27/09/2008 21:32

Evening ladies. Evenings out are all good fun but I've been sooooooooooooo tired all day . We had a good day in the end though. Went to some shops near us. Bought ds5 a lovely summer hat, his 6-9 month one getting too small, for just 75p. Went to a pub for lunch. A couple of older ladies sitting near us kept saying how lovely and well behaved the boys were then dh took ds3 for a wee which gave ds5 an oppertunity to pull his dinner plate onto the floor luckily it was empty but it made a hell of a crash .
A quick zoom round Morrisons then off to the park which was full and great fun.
Well thats about it from me. Off for a shower and off to bed I think.
Night all xxxx

Lilyloo · 27/09/2008 21:52

Evening all

Mrs Mc so hapy for you hope you and dh have come to terms with it what great news!

Well had family round today and they all arrived just after dd bumped her face trying to climb up the table so she now has big bruis on her cheek with red nose from cold etc!

JKS - glad you are feeling better

Gingeme - Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight and not so tired tomorrow

Just finished a lovely chinese takeaway, watching strictly come dancing. I love it!!

LuckySalem · 27/09/2008 21:59

Ladies - Do me a favour and check these out. career
courses

simpson · 28/09/2008 09:57

Morning all

Well DD really starting to test my patience again. Was up with her for 2hrs last night midnight till 2am.

She has not stopped screaming all morning and have had to put her in her bed as I can't take any more...

Starting to resent DH who is relaxing at home, shopping whenever he wants etc while I am looking after his Dcs 24/7. Which I know is out of order as he is not well but am feeling the strain....

LuckySalem · 28/09/2008 12:33

Simpson - I hope DD gets better for you. By the way feeling jealous of DP's freedom is fair enough and normal. I feel this about my DP sometimes.

I feel really guilty saying this now but I'm so proud of DD. She slept in her cot from 8:30 till 8 she settled happily and when she woke up this morning I only woke up because I could hear her playing. There was no screaming or anything which is really unusual for her.

Gingeme · 28/09/2008 13:13

Afternoon ladies.
I so hear you simpson. I realy begrudge dh having a job sometimes when I'm at home with three screaming boys. I think 'can't I just go out of the house for a few hours and do something totaly non kid related'. We were discussing this the other day actualy. When ds5 is full time I'm going back to work. I would love to be a doula but don't know if I'd be too old to do the training by then so I guess it would be shop work which I loved when I did it for work way back when.
Anyhoo George didn't quite sleep through. He woke at 5.18 had a bottle and slept on till 7.08. I took my own advice for a change last night though and was in bed by 10.30.
I have blitzed my flat today. Ive even sorted the bath toys out as they were pretty disgusting. Scrubbed ds4's chair too where he has his booster seat. Some pretty dried on food there uyk!
MrsMcJnr has it sank in yet?
Well my parents will be here soon. They live in Kent and am flying to Thailand tonight so they have come to us because the nearest tube station will take them straight to Heathrow. lucky people.

MrsMcJnr · 28/09/2008 15:08

Lucky ? hope you have another good night tonight. Re your courses, as you know, I?m a lawyer and most of the time I enjoyed my job though it did have its dull aspects. Can?t say I am missing anything about it at the moment though (apart from the money of course!) which reminds me, I must resign tomorrow!

On the baby realisation front, I?m getting there thanks Simpson, so tired!! what?s the age gap between your DC? Sorry to hear that things are getting on top of you but you are of course right, your DH should (if he could) be sharing the burden with you. I let mine off too lightly. Huge hugs xx

JKS ? hope you are feeling much better today you poor thing!

Gingeme ? sounds like you had a nice family day yest I think you?d be a fabulous Doula I was in bed at 10 last night, shattered! Getting really excited about B2

Thanks Lilyloo poor DD, hope her face is ok.

We?ve had torrential rain here since around 3am on Sat morning ? so boring!!

Anyone got DC 16 months apart??

LuckySalem · 28/09/2008 15:47

Aaliyah is asleep upstairs in her cot!! woohoo!!

LaTrucha · 28/09/2008 16:08

TWO pregnant ladies? MrsMc I know. Who else?

Gingeme · 28/09/2008 17:21

ME ds1 and 2 are 15 months apart so are ds 4 and 5

simpson · 28/09/2008 17:57

LaT - Bluebell is expecting no. 2 too

Mrs Mcjnr - I wanted to have 18mths apart with my two but it took a while to get pg with DD so have 2.5yrs.

Lucky - congratulations on the sleeping front

If DD wakes tonight I am determined not to cave in and feed her. I must be strong!! If she wakes anytime after 5am I will feed but not before.

Gingeme - well done on the cleaning front. It is amazing the places dried food can get to!!

Lilyloo - Hope DD's face gets better. My DD just rolled right into the door frame and has a red mark on the top of her head
