omigod SSS, what are you doing, SHOWING him these pictures???? I'd have to say oh well never ming darling, Spiderman it is....

ceebee74 · 01/12/2008 20:50

Twinklemegan - thanks for the congrats and good luck with the TTC - enjoy

Spin - my god, that is some ambitious cake-making!! Ch obviously has high expectations of you

Annie - fab fab photos - I guess it is worth all the hassle of having 2 children when you see them together like that.

Still struggling a bit with Josh here - his behaviour seems to be very up and down. He can be a lovely little boy sometimes and then others, like today, just constantly whinging, tantrumming etc. Maybe this is just his age or maybe it is because of Sam - either way, he is really testing our patience!! Plus he has decided to drop his afternoon nap these last 2 days which means by 6pm, he is just a complete nightmare

But Sam is an absolute dream very calm and placid which is a good job since Josh is all over him like a rash constantly!!

ceebee74 · 01/12/2008 20:51

Oh I forgot Impy, I don't think I said congratulations to you for deciding to get married Am so pleased for you both and it will be lovely having Ry there to share the occasion with you!

Sorry for forgetting but I think I had other things on my mind at the time

hey we've been talking so little this has dropped off my active convos thread!

how is everyone?

CB how is josh doing now? I can sympathise

jacob pushed sam over today and sam now has a nice bump on his head..... sophie was very good and very calm and controlled about it. I'd have screamed at him

not much else to report here - it's blardy cold here though!!!

saw santa today and jacob at least came and sat on the bench -not next to him mind you but on the bench with him. better than last year when he wouldn't stop yelling and the photo is with his muslin after a screaming fit! got the family pack of photos so will be sending them off to the ILs as that's about all of their christmas parcel that's arrived so far - everything else is delayed.

also the fisher price digital camera we got for jacob has been held at the couriers by the administrators in charge of woolies now so we may have lost it and our money and i bet now it's december you won't be able to get them anywhere.

FrostyTheSnowman · 03/12/2008 19:43

flick-that is terrible Thought Woollies was continuing as normal until the New Year. Have you tried ELC?

Annie-have a fab time. You all seem to be globetrotting at the mo apart from me who hasn't seen beyond England since 2002.

Very cold here so got the fire lit. Have been to see my friend who is 35 weeks PG and she asked if I was still OK to come and babysit her 2 DC at any time of the day or night when labour starts as she has a v. short labour. Crikes, in January when I'm tucked up in bed. Had to say yes of course.

Hope all OK and frantically preparing for the big day like me. Off to the Bike Show at the NEC on Friday so mum and dad having the girls Thursday and Friday night as we need to be off early on Friday morning. Think it may be snowy.

what is more irritating is that it's supposed to have been despatched before they went into administration. no one could tell me anything yesterday and today you can't even get to talk to anyone in customer services - the line just goes dead on option 3

they did have them in various other places so will just have to write off the money and get another one. luckily we can afford to do this but it does make me so mad that there are probably people who can't afford to just write it off and will lose out because of it

thefortbuilder · 04/12/2008 13:11

ooh that was a very angry post wasn't it

we are all festive here now it's december!

if it's really naff i'll just fudge it somewhere!!!

Afternoon all!!

Well my lovely Eilidh went into her own bed last night and apart from waking at 1.45 for a drink she slept right through. In fact she slept till 8.15 which has never happened before lol. Was weird to have DH back in with me.
Was nice but strange,he takes up sooo much more room than dd2!!

I went to have my Mirena fitted on Tuesday. Disaster, apparently i have a lot of scar tissue on my cervix from colcoscopy treatment years ago so she couldn't get it past that. I have to go to family planning clinic to have it done. They have "special stuff" like local anasthetic to numb my cervix and dilators. Ouch!!

DH is off next week so will have to go get my xmas pressies bought and wrapped.

Have a good Friday all xx

PixelHerder · 05/12/2008 17:41

Hi Girls - sorry long time no post, hope everyone's doing okay

We're fine here. Emma's favourite new word is 'tasty' (don't know where it came from, I blame MIL). She says it a lot - it's quite cute when she says it about eg her breakfast cereal, or a biscuit. Bit more disconcerting when she uses it to describe a big lump of her own poo though

She's still very shy at toddler groups (and generally with strangers) - won't join in at all with the singing and story telling sessions even though she knows the words and sings them happily at home. On the whole I'm not worried - I know she likes being there as she pesters to go, it's just that she looks SO miserable the whole time she's there, bless her.

Spin - Happy belated birthday to Chili, good luck with the cake, I reckon if DH pulls that one off you should make it a visitor attraction and sell tickets

Will do a catch up soon, in the meantime big waves to all

Blossomingintoachristmasfairy · 05/12/2008 20:09

Happy belated birthday for the Chil-ster! Hope you all had a great time.

Am now back in Madrid after marathon "residence-proving" stint in Norfolk with the in-laws. Cripes! In the end all we needed was a letter from F-in-law saying we'd been residing with them for 8 days - how daft! Didn't even need to show them the plane tickets. . Did have a WICKED night out in Islington with all our London mates to celebrate the wedding (ended up with my head down the loo a couple of times - always sign of a good night!)

Left Ry behind and am in a strange state between euphoria at being able to lie-in/do what I like and hysterical crying when I think how much I miss him. We skyped earlier and he was calling out "mummy cuddles" and holding his arms out... broke my heart! I'm sure in a couple of days, I'll be like "Ryan who?"

Thanks so much for the congrats CB - I wasn't expecting you to remember/notice - you have been just a tad busy, my love!

Went to see the meal venue last week - it's right posh! My MIL has done us proud. Sorted out the bouquet while I was over. Just need to find some shoes... oh and the wedding rings... and we're all set!

Well, hope you're all good. Sorry - too far behind to do individual catch-ups...

Big hug, Impy xxx

Blossomingintoachristmasfairy · 08/12/2008 19:56

Impy how exciting. Keep us up to date.

Spin it's bloody freezing here. Seriously start-engine-10-minutes-before-leaving-house-to-have-any-hope-of-defrosting-it cold.

Presenting to The Body Shop tomorrow afternoon. Kakking it. Have spent all afternoon learning my slides and blurb, and am bound to forget half of it. Really helps that my Senior Vice President has decided to come. Wondering whether to mention the amounts of money I have spent in there over the years......

Weekend included night out in Guildford with all DH's friends and their wives and staying in a hotel, been booked for months. My parents were supposed to be babysitting, and phoned at 8.10am to say they were too poorly, which nearly scuppered the whole thing, (bless them they both have hideous flu not their fault), but my darling friend who has two boys of her own the same age and whose husband was out that night as well offered to have them. What a star. They were really good apparently, thank god. DH is on Day number 2 of the worst hangover in recent times, but that's what happens when you pretend you are 22 and stay up till 4am drinking sticky drinks (smug disapproving emoticon] I felt bad enough on a 1am finish and a bottle of white, but it was single parent status on Sunday....

Getting there with Chrimble - quite a few presents bought. Think the boys are pretty much done, and quite a few rellies too. Just have to wrap it all now. We have a Christmas eve drinks party (to which you are all invited by thhe way) 3-5pm, and bought the red, white wine, soft drinks, sausage rolls, mince pies, crisps and nuts for that today, and ordered glasses to rent. Need to do all the decorating this weekend, and the tree etc. Still got the mulled wine and beer to get. Oh and then buy all the food to feed 15 on Christmas Day. Oh and work a 4 day week in what is turning out to be the most demanding job by far of my entire life. And guess what? I bloody LOVE it!!!

Getting christmassy nooooow, yaaaaaay!!!

Hey, I want to try one of those too... . Glad wedding plans are going well Impy.

Nothing to report here, still full of (insanely wriggly) baby. Insomnia kicking in, bleugh. Two weeks to due date.

Potty training going surprisingly well, but still nappies for out and about. Dom objects to pants tho, so twinkling white buttocks around the house (good job the heating's on!). And wow, does that boy love his penis now it is released from the confines of his nappy.
