Double apologies for posting my verbosity twice!!

Reggiee · 04/09/2008 21:08

Wilkie I decided to pay the £20. Our iron's on the way out. Plus I hate ironing and was seduced by the cuts ironing time by 50% claims. The Amazon reviews say it is the nuts. Not quite sure how I'll 'bzz' the iron though...hey...anyone wanna come over tonight to watch me iron and give it a go....?

Dh still playing with wires. Sigh. I'm knackered so gonna go to bed. Laters.

eandh · 05/09/2008 06:18

I do indeed have one of those irons and will never go abck to normal ironing, my ironing literally takes half the time and effort and my one is pink

vinorouge · 05/09/2008 08:38

rgee - soz only justseen you asking if I was free today. Got a neighbour and baby coming round for coffee in a bit then I need to tidy up. The house is a tip and bathroom smells of wet towels. delightful. I have got soaked once walking to nursery and expect to be the same later so am not going out with snotty Sylvue until then.

Night with 4 kids in house was fine. E loved having 2 playmates after nursery and they all got in the bath together. they may stay again next week as their extension is at a messy stage.

We all went to dh'ds work do last night which was COOL. It was a night at the races but the horses were spacehoppers with horse costumes over them ridden by staff members. The 'horses' had been sold for a tenenr each in advance to raise money for charity and there were 6 raaces, proper race card, streaker (man in a body costume) on the course, horse needed to be shot etc etc had such a good time. E ran everywhere in a pretty party dress and wellies. Food was then followed by a ceidlah but we left about 9.

Off to see my younger brother tomorrow and hen to parents on sunday.

vinorouge · 05/09/2008 08:43

rgee - does pippa have oraneg juice or an orange cup etc at nursery? that could explain the new word. Ellen learnt 'go go go' last night at races! 'Away'is also a current favourite combined with a hefty push just to make sure we get the message. how are you fixed for meeting up on a saturday so we can get p and e playing together? I have taken her out of nursery so many fridays in august and already got two for sept so can't do a friday meet with ellen. If we left it til 20th sept would you be able to make it wilkie (am thinking of your hols)

Lizzzombie · 05/09/2008 08:44

Morning!
Has anyone seen the HUGE argos clearance sale on? Unfortunately all the items I wanted were out of stock at all 4 of the Argos's near me. Very annoying. Lots of bargains to be had if you can get the stock though!

STOMP - I never got a Bzz early invite to the steam iron thing. AND I submitted my first report recently. (How many reports are you supposed to submit for each project?)
And I just brought a new iron! Darn it.

UD - Can't wait to hear back from you today about the scan very annoying!

Proud mother boast - DJ is getting really good on his colours and numbers and names. Eg. He knows that "James" is red, and number 5 etc. He is a total parrot and will repeat anything I say. Am curbing my language big time atm. Lots of "FORK!" and "CHIP" round here!

vinorouge · 05/09/2008 08:45

I want one of these posh irons. I like ironing!

vinorouge · 05/09/2008 08:45

Lizz - PMSL laughing at fork and chip!

Lizzzombie · 05/09/2008 08:45

vino - your DHs work night out sounds great fun!

Wilkiepedia · 05/09/2008 09:15

Vino - wow your DH's work night sounds COOL!

Lizz - PMSL at fork and chip. You have to submit LOADS of reports for Bzzagent for each campaign. I make most of mine up

Am gonna go into this campaign but ther eis a problem with it at the moment so I can't sign up. You might get an invite Lizz cos this is only the early invite stage to Tier 2 agents, if you are Tier 1 you will get invited at a later stage if there are slots available IYSWIM

Lizzzombie · 05/09/2008 12:21

wilkie

I DIDNT REALISE I HAD TO WRITE MORE THAN ONE REPORT!!!
Darn it.
Bum.

How many Danone ones (if you had that) did you submit?

fork, fork, chip & wink!

Shimmer · 05/09/2008 12:26

Morning all. Having a quiet morning here for a change. Just been in playing around and doing a bit of tidying. The house is a tip...

That iron does sound the business. I SOOO need a need iron, mine's shite.

Am liking the FORK and CHIP thing Lizz. I said "Oh Jesus!" a while ago and Freddie immediatly went "Oh Jesus!" and burst out laughing!! Luckily what he said actually sounded more like Cheese than Jesus, so now we sometimes say "Oh Cheeses!" at each other when something goes wrong, which always causes major giggles!

Hope the scan goes well today UD!

F's getting quite good at recognising numbers now, and i've just started trying to teach him some colours... but at the moment he still says everything's 'lellow'

He is having a huge problem with the bath at the moment. Have any of you had DCs with bath/water pheobias? He's never been that happy in the bath or swimming and just recently he's got MUCH worse and won't even go near the bath without screaming. It's a bit odd. He's not just having a tantrum because he doesn't want to go in the bath, he's clearly genuinly really scared by the bath/water. He hasn't has a proper bath for about 2 weeks now!! He's still happy to wash in the sink and brush his teeth etc., so at the moment I'm just doing that and running a tiny bit of water oin the bath every now and again just to try and coax him in a little bit. Any suggestions???

So we bought our bookshop!! They accepted our offer earlier this week and I handed in my notice at work yesterday! SO exciting. I expect all you lot in the South East (shop's in Lewes) to come and visit after we've taken over (probably beginning Novemeber)

Ummmm... Freddie is completely obsessed with Carrie & David's Popshop at the moment He is currently dancing along to their warm up song... I'm sure those who've had the pleasure will know what I'm talking about! (I think we watch too much CBeebies...)

Lizzzombie · 05/09/2008 13:09

Shimmer - only a qwiki as DJ is ranting upstairs...
FAB NEWS ON THE BOOKSHOP! We can hold our SE meet up there!
It takes me 15/20 mins on the train to get to Lewes, in fact I am on a night out there next week. So, I'll be first in line to come and see you!!!
xxx

DJ hates swimming too. Am braving the pool again in a couple of weeks time, not looking forward to it. He goes mental. But, doesnt mind the bath.

Lizzzombie · 05/09/2008 13:14

also - you have to come and have a sneaky peak at the childrens bookshop here in Eastbourne so you can assess your competition!

plus - the bag of books website is very ropey...DP is a web designer...with very reasonable rates!

Reggiee · 05/09/2008 13:25

Shimmer congrats on the bookshop. What are you gonna call it? P went through a funny phase with the bath but it was hair washing issues. Have you tried a shower instead?

Just been to a barn activity place which was good fun. It was soooo quiet it was fab. P had the run of the bouncy castle, trampoline, little tykes cars, sandpit, and climbing stuff. Then we went outside in our wellies to see the shivering deer and rabbits. I decided it was too wet then so came home .

Wilkie cheers for your text. Will keep the iron to replace our old rubbish one unless I loathe it (unlikely if it really does cut ironing time). I am such a slob but now and again when I see P I think it's fine for me to be a slob, but bit unfair to send P out looking like an aged elephant. Must start ironing her clothes. Gahhh.

Lizz I write at least 3 reports per campaign, and never make it up

UD are you back yet?

Vino hope you're not doing too much tidying today. Am free the morning of 20th btw. And I bobbed P on the scales before her last bath and she was 11.4 kg - c 25 lbs. She's thinned out quite a lot recently.

Shimmer · 05/09/2008 14:29

Ohhhh Lizz... I may well take you up on that offer of your DPs web design services.... It is, as you say, a very ropey website. We'd like to make it transactional (as in, people can buy stuff off it) at some point as well.

Thanks RGee, the shop's called Bags of Books, and we're going to keep the name because it's well known in the area etc. Don't look at the website though... well ropey!

Wilkiepedia · 05/09/2008 14:32

Lizz - I wrote 16 reports for the Intution Plus campaign and 10 fo the Danone campaign. Yes - I am a very naughty girlie Some are true, some are....elaborated upon somewhat! What can I say.....I like free stuff

The weather is shit - asbolutely torrential rain, and am stuck indoors and SOOOOOOOO bored!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think J is bored too as he is currently demolishing the Thomson Local book. Best go rescue it.....

Right must go and put some jacket spuds in oven

Laters my peeps - gosh that was well chavvy

laughalot · 05/09/2008 15:01

My boobs are hurting hope im not pg

ladytophamhatt · 05/09/2008 15:58

had a txt from UD earlier, the scan was fine.

Shes atound 15 weeks as she suspected.
No details on girl or boy though, the chafty minx...she knows thats all we wantto know.

vinorouge · 05/09/2008 17:02

oh i am not with it! i read lth's post and thought hmmm not heard 'chafty' before, then realised lth had probably meant 'crafty'...

Housework over, except for getting tumble drying in from the garage but its too wet to do that at the mo. Have got dh to pick e up from nursery so I don't have to brave the rain again, until I go out again of course.

Bit peeved today as found out the job I have been waiting to be advertised is probably going to go to someone else. Too long a story to type here and I can obviously apply but its all turned into a bit of a farce.

I recorded some of sylvie's gurgles on my phone last night. Dh thought I was being silly but who cares. She is so adorable.

Shimmer - wahey on the bookshop. Thats great news. We have no bath probs sorry, our prob is getting e out of it.

I'm going to start saying fork, chip and cheeses - ROFL!!!! That has really tickled me.

Laughalot - being busy is my problem. Althouh I have enjoyed today at home and been productive, I often get down on days when I'm just at home with no 'plan'. But the flip side is that I organise too much and then dash here there and everywhere, never seeing people for long enough and wearing myself out. I can't win! Also, I realised when the twins were staying this week that Ellen is a possessive and jealous sister. I have seen the twins several times with sylvie while ellen has been at nursery so they are used to 'cuddling' her, but Ellen was having none of it! The twins call sylvie 'sylbie' which is cute.

Rgee - where was the barn? I think i know but can't find the name on the tip of my tongue. Over towards skipton?

Best get making tea cos I want to eat before I go out, and feed sylvie up so she behaves for dh. Have expressed and got formula ready in case he wants to try that. No time like the present. However I realised that I've been keepng the box of formula by the moc`rowave where all the steam builds up so it was all damp on the side, not a cool dry place as the box suggested.

I apologise for my rambling fingers today, can't stop posting can I?!

Good to hear that UID scan ok.

vinorouge · 05/09/2008 17:02

oops that would be UD not UID

ladytophamhatt · 05/09/2008 17:20

well done vino, you passed todays deliberate typo test.

your prize is ummm.....a hard boiled egg.
(we are overrun with them ATM)
