Wilkie - they know how to pull the guilt trip don't they well done on raising that much money

I am on deep clean mission today, all holidays I have just flicked over things with duster so today is a moving furniture and cleaning everything day (only done bathroom and our room so far as E&H keep squabbling)

laughalot · 02/09/2008 09:50

PCF - wonderful news!!!!!!!!!!!! Hrmph, and I thought I would be next... How far gone? I guess 5 weeks or so??

God I am stressed - this week: today having radiator moved to a different wall, thurs having window knocked out and french doors fitted, they'll still be here Fri along with the people doing our cavity wall and loft insulation, we then have to rip out our kitchen and take all the tiles off before we go on hols on Monday........ARGHHHH! I will need a bloody holiday by the time this is all done

Lovely news PCF !!!

Just got back from the park. DS1 slid down a wet slide in his brand new 'white' tee shirt head first.

Went so fast he went straight off the end and has grazed all his belly. He's in the bath atm feeling sorry for himself.

Meanwhile I'm sat here trying to stop giggling about it as it was so funny to watch.

Obviously DD and my giggles haven't helped the matter at all !

I know what you mean about the cleaning EaH, my house is in a desperate state too. Still, one back tomorrow, the other on Thursday and all will change then (hopefully....). I think know I'd rather be polishing a brand new car though

theSuburbanDryad · 02/09/2008 17:44

Congratulations PCF!! You'll be due not long after me i think!

Lizzzombie · 02/09/2008 18:25

Congratulations PCF! Fab news, how exciting! How far gone are you????

UD - make sure you let us know as soon as you have been told how old your 'bump' is! (lol at it all being cheese - thats me!)

Wilkie - are you actually trying for baby number 2 now? You don't do things by halves do you! New house, new town, new job, new baby...new friends...did you meet up with Nell again ever? Where are you off on hols?

Well, I spent the morning in bed today whilst my house was totally peaceful, so I feel a million times better now. But, I have a really bad headache...am thinking its all the snot ready to pour out tonight prob! (nice!)

We are planning our trip to Alton Towers at the moment, and I'm busy looking for a nice B&B nearby - any suggestions?!

x

Reggiee · 02/09/2008 18:52

Many congrats PCF!!! Great news . When's the lo due? Early May?

Sympathise with all the house stuff going on. We have the decorators in this week and it's doing my nut in. Never mind - it'll all be done soon.

Anyone around tonight? DH gone out.

Congrats PCF! Yippee!

Wilkie - know just what you mean about J not wanting you cos thats what Ellen does every Monday when Mum brings her back home. She usually kicks off about eating her tea too so she certainly arrives home very vocally!

Been to choose material for Sylvie's quilt today. All sewing shall be done by mum - I am only involved in the decision stage. Chose colours to match her curtains so it will be quite bright.

Rgee- the quilt mum makes isn't a duvet cover, just a wadded thing so thicker than a sheet but not as thick/warm as a blanket. Ellen doesn't have any covers at the mo, just wears her pjs so her 'quilt' is ok on her bed, when she wants to be covered up I will buy a normal duvet and duvet cover and dput her 'quilt' on top IYKWIM.

Got a friend and her twins staying tomorrow night cos they are having an extension at the moment. I should be straightening up Sylvie's room ready for the twins but I'm not....here instead...

I did get my hair cut. Just a trim, decided I am gonna grow it again and might have it dyed.

COW - the car sounds cool!

UD - hope you get good news on friday

e&H - gkad you got your horus sorted.

Wilkiepedia · 02/09/2008 21:45

Vino - absolutely ROFL at your acronym for CanofWorms, classic. Can we all call her COW from now on please?? Glad to hear that E does the same thing though!!

Feck - I've totally forgotten who else posted now...

Lizz - not actively trying but will see what happens I guess. I'm not desperate yet but soon.

Has anyone else noticed their DS's room already has that manky boy smell. Just been up to gaze at my little man and his room stinks of farts! Needless to say I didn't do much gazing

Went swimming with J today and a lady in the changing room had a little boy the same age and commented at how advanced J's speech is - I have to say I and said 'thank you' whilst feeling very proud Maybe I should start a G&T thread??

Oh no! Feel a name change coming on but it'll take me ages to think of one Incidentally, my name starts with "can" because they are the initials of my 3 girls

Congrats PCF!

Still trying to catch up with all you others!

Kids back at school and life seems so hectic again. I'm starting a new course in 4 weeks which I'm dreading (did a distance larning course from Oct last year to April and managed to fail the bloody assignment so need to re-do that before then as well)

My neighbour brought me round a bunch of flowers tonight as I caught burglars coming out of her house (not literally, I just arrived home and copped an eyeful of them) so they fled with just their telly. She brought a new foster child with her who was 22 months old and it was amazing to see someone else who gabbles the same way as my lo. I don't really know anyone else round here with babies so nice to compare!

Anyway, waffling now so must go to bed so I can drive round tomorrow (not that I'm excited or anything )

eandh · 03/09/2008 07:42

rofl at COW personally i think its great (and well done re burglars)

Wilkie - preen away re J's speech, Hattie has loads of words but is selcted when she uses them (ie at home with me & Ellie she'll say them the minute we are in public she goes mute ) Good luck for the home improvements this week

Vino- those quilt throws sound lovely, how was your night with 4 children in the house?

Lizz - you feeling better?

RGee - hows the decorating going? (Btw forgot to answer your question the other day about holiday, me & dh very excited and have still managed to keep it a secret so I can't wait to see E's face when we let her know on the train Laughalot did a promo at work the other week and they had minnie mouse ears/hairbands so she sent me 2 pairs we're wrapping those up with the brochure and giving it to her and hoping she'll put 2+2 together. Think I'll have to 'youtube' her reaction)

House is lovely and clean every piece of furniture moved and wnet through 80% of the cupboards sorting them out and getting rid of old bits.

Mission today is to get a new bulb for fish tank and walk to PO (although that may have to wait till tomorrow as need to iron pashmina I'm lending Laughalot before I post it )

Reggiee · 03/09/2008 18:34

Canmummy just don't change your name to CanUNameTrees or something like that - god knows what acronym you'd end up with . What course are you doing?

Eah decorating nearly done; only a couple more days. Our hall and stairs look fab now. Lo's new room (in due courses) is being painted lilac tomorrow. It's just the house is such a tip with having everything out of place and still covered in plaster dust despite contant mopping and cleaning.
PMSL that you are ironing the pashmina before sending it back. Reminded me of when I left a muslin at a friend's house and she not only ironed it but posted it back to me in a padded envelope

Wilkie who does your ds take after with the farting

Vino you free on Friday? (And same question to Wilkie of course).

PCF has your news sunk in yet?

laughalot · 03/09/2008 18:51

Kids You just wait for the backchat aaarrgghhhh

Wilkiepedia · 03/09/2008 19:46

J did a wee on his potty!!!!!! He said 'wee-wee' and went over to his potty, sat down and wee'd (admittedly he then tipped it all over the carpet) but how cool! Very exciting...god my life is sad

Reggiee - I am free on Friday but chained to the house as we are waiting for a delivery. My sis might be popping over in the afternoon but that is it

EAH - you are so good blitzing your house. I am gonna do the same when we get back from our hols once the kitchen is fitted and french windows are done

eandh · 03/09/2008 20:03

Clever J (sorry but you do know its standard that they throw the contents on the floor if you don't get there quick enough )

Finished off the clean today, did all the windows (God I hate cleaning windows, washed down all the UPVC and front door and cut the grass and dug the borders. House does look fantastic if I say so myself (shame we have both families here on unday so it'll get trashed)

I have been so bored today, everyone of my friends working, on holidays or their LO's starting school so couldnt catch up with anyone (this is what the next year is like as Ellie just misses this school year but all her mates are going now or in January) got a friend and her lo popping in in the morning as shes back to work on Monday after maternity leave and then my godchildren are coming for tea tomorrow night after school (so I can catch up with my friend/their Mum as this weekend is Dads weekend so he'll bring them to party)

Back on weightwatchers but am due on and want chocolate

Wilkiepedia · 03/09/2008 20:22

Join the club EAH (mmmm Club biscuit....) I have eaten a bar of dairy milk and have seen my arse tonight so am just gonna sit on the sofa and MN.

Hi there ladies, was wondering if I can join in? I've only just re-discovered MN after a long break. I was on the Jan 07 anti-natal threads as gr8mama, I was one of the last lot to pop and was on the threads everyday in the last few days, (god I remember those days well, I was have castor oil every day! I must have been desperate!!) my DS was born 26 January. I recognise some of the names but definitely recognise 2Happy, not sure if you remember me too? Anyway, hello everyone!

eandh · 04/09/2008 05:51

Hi and welcome I remember you (was elliepmummy then) How are you and LO?

And that I am up at 5.49 and dh at work and both dd's in bed (DH woke me up at 5.20 to ask me where his bike helmet was as H had it on last night and he couldnt find it [grrr])

ladytophamhatt · 04/09/2008 09:27
