Aaw they're all so cute but I have a special fondness for your ds3 I must admit, he looks so angelic with those big round blue eyes! Can't believe how well his mouth has healed btw. He's scrummy.

Yeah, yellow could work actually, hadn't thought of that. I'll wait til the border arrives and spend some time fannying about with tester pots, I reckon.

Awww snot the pictures and the video are adorable! Bradley is absolutely gorgeous! His little laugh is soooo cute too.

There's a lot of us decorating. I'm meant to be decorating our hall way and staris, I bought the paint back in September when we bought the house but it's still in the shed and I haven't even started. I really ought to get round to it but there never seems a god time really, dh is at work a lot and it would be impossible to do it and keep an eye on Joe without him getting covered in paint!

Anyway, Gill, glad I'm not the only o ne who struggled with the April mystery but I'm pretty sure I have it worked out now.

James, your photo made laugh! Joe does exactly the same face and then breathes in and out through hius nose really loudly!

Better go get ds' breakfast sorted.

snotdroolanddirtybums · 20/08/2008 08:24

morning everyone,

thanks for all the nice coments.

ok any ideas what i can do with 3 monsters today??? running out of ideas and im sure my daily trip into town to get food for the tea isnt very exciting.

brought the geinea pig in last night for a little while and she has so many liitle pigs in there i can feel them all wiggleing about.

better go see my neglected children

Hersetta · 20/08/2008 08:53

Hello all, not been on for a couple of weeks as I had 2 weeks off work between jobs and couldn't get near the PC at home, but have now started my new job and have managed to sneak an odd look to keep up to date. Happy bithday to all those I missed - hope you had lovely times.

I have no idea who April is either but it's not me (although i am slightly jealous).

Tasha, your bradley's lip looks amazing and he has certainly shot up a bit.

Caitlin is doing well, she has grown two more teeth (so 8 in total)and is really finding her voice. It seems like she is never quiet any more and chats away to things in ernest. Her favorite game at the moment is to shout 'Dad' at the top of her voice whenever my DH leaves the room, to which he shouts back 'what?', repeat ad neauseum until she finally peels with laughter and then goes back to talking to her dolly.

She learnt how to climb the stairs but after falling back down then twice she hasn't gone near them again - long may that continue!

She has also discovered a new favourite food - peaches. She can demolish a whole one in a sitting and then cries when there's none left!

She also picks up anything resembling a phone shape, puts it to her ear and says 'hello' to it - very comical.

Hope everyone is well.

snotdroolanddirtybums · 20/08/2008 09:05

hersetta- caitlin is really coming along. lol at her shouting dad she sounds like i right wee madam hows the new job going?

Hersetta · 20/08/2008 09:18

It's going Ok - finally finding my feet a bit. Was completely overwhelmed the first day but feel like i'm getting to grips with all the information I have been bombarded with.

TT - i was tempted to seek out your DH on Tuesday to pass on my birthday wishes to Paddy but lost my nerve. Is he located on the 5th floor too or is he on the fourth? Have been told the 4th floor is scary !!

leifmum · 20/08/2008 09:24

morning all! joe and james - dd does that exact scrunched up face, think she's going to be a gurning champion! tashs - bradley looks fab, dd lovd the video of him, really made her\ chuckle! also noticed you've got the same kitchen units as us!

all this talk of decorating is making me think we should start putting out pictures up because we've still got plain magnoila walls (apart from the odd scratch and dirty handprint!)

i was a better wife yesterday and ironed dh's work shirts. they're pretty much the only thing that get ironed in this house and i've always taken the view that i sort my uniform so dh should sort his! anyway i did an ok job and will probably do it more often now, it's just getting half an hour away from dd taht's the issue!

quite excited because me and dh are going away for a weekend on a surf trip. only worry is i've not left dd overnight yet and it will be for two nights and nearly three days. i am going to miss her sooooo much! am i the only one that's not left their babe yet? any advice? the second issue is getting into a wetsuit again.......if you hear reports of a beached whale in cornwall look closely at the picture.... you never know!

snotdroolanddirtybums · 20/08/2008 09:36

good to hear its going well

leifmum- your trip sounds like so much fun. i havent left mine over night yet but if i could find someone thaty would take them id be awaylol it will do you and your dh good to get away together without the lo. im quite

meandmyjoe · 20/08/2008 10:14

Leifmum I have never left Joseph over night and I've only been away from him 4 times ever and that was just a couple of hours at a time. Have to say though, I'm well ready for a break now. Very envious of your surfing trip but hope you have a fantastic time and that the weather's good.

Weather here is crap so I'm struggling for things to do too snot. Dh has been working 12 hour days this week so this is my 3rd day of being confined to the house with ds. Thankfully he's napping at the moment and he settled fine today, God knows why he screamed yesterday at nap times???

GillL · 20/08/2008 11:35

Morning all. Lovely pics snot and James. Your boys are all gorgeous.

Glad you're settling in to your new job Hersetta.

We're not decorating at the moment. Dh was supposed to start on ds' room while we were on holiday but, as I expected, he didn't do a thing Unfortunately our walls are not good enough to just paint/wallpaper over. Every room needs to be replastered and dh wants to replace the ceiling/door/skirting/coving in every room. This ends up costing us hundreds of pounds and takes months. We've been in our house for 6 years now and the only rooms that done are the kitchen, bathroom, dd's room and the living room (which needs doing again) We'll get there in the end - probably just before we move house. Dh reckons he'll start on ds' room when he's finished helping his friend do up his flat. I'm staying positive that he'll start it before christmas.

GillL · 20/08/2008 11:39

leifmum - I've left ds overnight twice now with my mum. I've left dd loads of times and twice was for two nights. It's really nice to have some me time but I really miss them and can't wait to pick them up the next morning. I don't have any advice really, other than just to enjoy yourself and try not to worry too much. She'll be fine.

tokentotty · 20/08/2008 11:42

Morning all !!

My baby is one....sniff, sniff....so grown up.....

Ahem, right, that's enough of that ! Had a nice day yesterday and the little fellow was lovely. Well, apart from the fact he ignored the presents given to him when faced with the balloon that accompanied them. Typical really.

Gill I'm sorry to hear of your loss especially the timing of it.

Hersetta, I'm guessing from your description that DH is probably on the 4th floor! Is is indeed probably scary if you're not used to dealing environments. That and the fact that they're definitely all mental. Will let you know next time I'm coming to see DH as am bound to go up for lunch when I go back on maternity leave at the beginning of October.

Right off to check out Tasha's (like the new name love but feel bad just calling you 'snot' !!) pics....

Hersetta · 20/08/2008 11:52

That sounds great TT. maybe a better idea would be to come along to the kids Xmas party that I've just heard about - I'll bring Caitlin along too and they can play together.

There are brokers on my floor too - not sure yet though if it is just oil/energy. Have heard the 4th floor is a 100% male domain and can get pretty rowdy so haven't ventured down there yet.

Cheeky bugers Knickers! Who gives a crap what people think anyway? There's some horrible people out there who should really just close their mouths if they have nothing nice to say.

I'm 24 but I must admit I still get ID checks on the rare occassions I buy alcohol so I guess I must look like a kid which is kind of flattering but also bloody annoying. I do get people staring at me when I'm out with ds sometimes, like I am way too young to be a good mum . I know a girl who became a mum at 17, she is now my age and has 3 kids and is by far the best mother I know snd a fantastic role model for her kids.

hear hear meanmyjoe.

would like to post more in replies but am going to stay incognito just now as the two people i know on mn may well glance at this thread from time to time - i know i sometimes have a nosey at their threads, so i wouldnt want them finding out this way.

in response to your questions,

i wouldnt like to comment on the glasses but no i have no moustache (I Hope) and no hat. I am a female and I'm not sure how big my nose is. Cant remember the other features of Guess Who? but it is probably fairly obvious anyway.

meandmyjoe · 20/08/2008 13:56

April, you have had my mind in knots you little tinker! I think I know who you are but I could be way off the mark. Who ever you are I really hope you are well and the the pg is going well so far. When are you thinking of telling people in rl?

Ahh Knickers, Asda ALWAYS ask me for ID! I bought a bottle of Baileys for my friend's birthday last month and I got ID checked. I didn't have any ID but thankfully one of my other friend's mum works there so I was able to get her to vouch for me and swear I was 24! I got ID checked for a bloody lottery ticket last year though which is just plain ridicullous! I may look a bit young but I don't look 15!

P.S April, glad to hear about the mustache!

aprilitisthen · 20/08/2008 14:07

Going fine but very early days so far - no ms or anything - wee bits of crampy type pains but nothing else so far, so in one way, am holding off getting excited until its a bit further on.

will hopefully tell one or two people this week or next, and then will come out of the closet, and the friend thats on mn - i will just have to hope she keeps schtum if she happens across a posting of mine.

meandmyjoe · 20/08/2008 14:14

Is it a planned pg or a happy suprise?? I keep trying to talk my dh into ttc dc2 but I have been pursuaded to waiting for a year or 2. So glad things are going OK for you. I got those crampy feelings when I was pg with Joseph, I was always panicing thinking there was something wrong! Hope you don't get ms, I was sick everyday for months.
