Eddas, you are right, it is for dh to sort out and not me. If it was my family then I would not expect him to get involved. But, like you, they would never speak to me like that!

GM, I am inclined to agree with you! I have no desire to bother with them, I just had a guilt attack over the dc's.

Dh and I were talking about it over the weekend, and we both agreed that we have not missed their company, despite the fact that over 3 months has passed. Says a lot really.

mammyjo · 11/08/2008 15:00

GM, what are the kittens like?

geordieminx · 11/08/2008 16:11

One is black and white, the other is white and black. 7 weeks old, currentlt asleep and a teeny tiny ball of fur onn the window sil.... nameless at the moment!!

Eddas · 11/08/2008 16:44

how's c with them gm?

MJ, i can see what you mean about the guilt re dc. Families are such a hard thing to fathom at times

I HAVE MY NEW CAR tis lovely salesman says he will call at the end of the week to check all is ok, hope nothing about our old car is mentioned

am so relived it's done. just got to sort the paperwork, send off the car tax etc and I can relax

new washing machine arrives on wednesday

please please let this be the end

CaptainDippy · 11/08/2008 19:33

I would let DH deal with it, MJ, I really would. Can DS not go over there by himself (i.e. you drop him off for the afternoon and then pick him up later)?? I am a sucker so I would probably just sod it and grit my teeth and grin and bear it. I wouldn't talk to MIL or SIL unless I absolutely needed to though. HTH

elkiedee · 11/08/2008 19:56

MJ, your inlaws sound quite nasty but I feel a bit sorry for the 9 year old girl as she clearly wants to see your ds. It's a shame her mum can't make the effort herself to make up for being a bitch. I'd agree with getting dh to arrange to take your ds round to see his cousin. Shame you can't invite the child round without talking to her mother really.

GM, wow, how did that happen with the cats? Our two normally run away from D, CM's cat is a little more amenable to being petted by children but although D tries to get her to come to him (he's learned to say psss pssss and click his tongue) she has a little more sense.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 11/08/2008 20:01

GM - we need pictures!

The girls from the other Company going tomorrow are all going straight from work so will be in their suits We've decided we're dressing up anyway
I'm torn between being excited and stupidly nervous....

Evening all.

Busy today

Eddas, glad you got your car - enjoy

MJ, how are you now? Hope things improved. Sorrry you are feeling down. It is incredibly hard work being a parent. xx
Re your mil and sil, I too would leave it to dh - his family. Not a nice situation tho

Oooggs, you poor lamb. If the HP's say give up.... What about reducing your hours. Is that an option/half way house?

GM, how on earth did you manage to come back with 2 kittens? Which bank did you go to I am v jealous. I have 2 mogs who I had when they were 16 weeks old - they are now 9 yrs old!

Good to see Liath and WO too. Hope you and yours are well.

CD, how are you feeling?
Brain emptied.

Feel absolutely pants. Chest feels like someone has sat on it and I have the worst headache ever that will not shift with anything.

Dh has gone now until 10 p.m. on Wednesday. I cried when he left

B fell over again half an hour after he left and was an absolute nightmare.

Have booked tomorrow off work - B and K are at nursery, so am going to try and relax a bit. Really feel close to the edge and not helped by feeling so awful.

Sorry for the whinge. xx

Sexonlegs · 11/08/2008 20:09

x-post Elkie and POTC.

POTC, yep, dress up for sure; enjoy!

Elkie how are you feeling?

NorthernLurker · 11/08/2008 20:25

Oooggs - can your dh not cut back his hours a bit? Three children and the pregnancy from the land of vomit is an awful lot for you to cope with.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 11/08/2008 20:25

Just keep thinking ladies - only a few more weeks to go til school's back .....
