POTC, have you got time to go shopping again? Nice shoes, and I love that dress. Little simple clutch bag type thing would be fab, and maybe a little shrug for your shoulders. Or would you go for some sort of pashmina?
Hope you have a fantastic evening, you deserve to enjoy yourself. Although, judging by your earlier post, I think a little enjoyment has been happening already!!

Dooby, so sorry about Roger, but like you say it is for the best. He is a young dog, and should fit in really well with a new family. You have done the right thing, it just maybe doesn't feel like it right now. Hope you are ok xxx

mammyjo · 10/08/2008 10:54

I can't believe it is nearly 11am and I am the first poster of the day

elkiedee · 10/08/2008 11:26

2nd actually! And then nearly half an hour to the next post. I read the thread but then decided that if I waited for dp to carry out his promise to do the vacuuming I'd be waiting a long time. It's still not great but it's a little better. To be fair, dp does a lot but this is something I keep asking him to do because he often has an hour or so at home before it's time to collect D and we can't do it after D's gone to bed.

elkiedee · 10/08/2008 11:33

POTC, looks like you'll be very elegant, though I'm no expert on style advice. Hope you have (more fun).

Dooby, sorry to hear you've had to let Roger go to a new home, but hope he finds a really lovely one.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/08/2008 14:32

Will be staying very sober on Tuesday, not an environment I will feel comfortable in, and the last thing I'd want to do is make an idiot of myself at a work thing!

I've got tomorrow lunchtime and Tuesday morning to shop, leaving it a little late I know! I'm not sure about the shoes now either, thinking I might want something with a closed toe

OP posts:
mammyjo · 10/08/2008 14:53

Open toe would be fine though as it is a summery dress? Hope you find what you need when you go shopping!
You will have a fab time, couple of drinks will put you at ease!

mammyjo · 10/08/2008 15:01

Just maybe no more than a couple if you want to remain sensible!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/08/2008 15:49

my darling sons - yeah right!

BOLLOCKS (quite literally!)

Skott just called in, J had no nappy on. "Bloody hell El, that's really swollen" says Skott, looking at J's you-know-what's. I ring NHS Direct to get advice, expecting the give him Calpol line but instead I get told it's a problem classed as an Emergency . Now waiting for M's dad to come round and sit with him so I can take J to an appointment with the emergency doc (who spoke in such a strong foreign accent that I couldn't tell whether he was saying prem or term when asking about J's birth ) at 6.15.

will report back later!!!!

(Pillock is now thinking she was wrong about boys being easier than girls .....)

hope he's ok potc. i wouldn't have a clue about boys bits maybe i should learn

new washing machine is ordered. thanks for the offer of your one potc really kind of you. it's being delivered on wed. I phoned mil to ask if I could use her machine and she said they were just off out but would call round and pick some of it up. There was about 5/6 loads since I worked friday and it just builds up from no-where. I went out and said to dh just ask her to take the black stuff and maybe one other load and she took the lot it'll probably come back wash, dried and ironed, bless her. I have a very very nice MIL

New car being collected tomorrow, cannot wait will be interesting doing all the paperwork bits with dc in tow but don't feel i should ask MIL to have them considering the washing she's just taken! Ah well they'll have to bare with me taking the seats etc out and fitting them in the new car. Shouldn't take too long

sorry for lack of personals

has anyone heard from caz? I assume her shes missing because of moving/school holidays?

elkiedee · 10/08/2008 19:14

StealthPolarBear · 10/08/2008 19:24

HI everyone
POTC hope J is OK
dooby, so sorry that you have had to rehome roger

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/08/2008 19:24

I'm back and J is fine. He has hydro-something or other which means there's fluid in his thing-a-me-jigs. Have to take him to the doc in the week and get a referral to the paediatrician.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/08/2008 19:40

Evening

POTC, really glad J is ok. Good luck with the docs in the week.

Eddas, good luck with the new car - how exciting

Hi MJ, hope you had a good day.

Hi SPB and Elkie too.

All ok. Totally knackered and feel rough as a badgers arse.

Had a good day tho apart from B falling over and cutting her knee and hand just before bed time tonight. You would have thought she had broken some bones the noise she made

Poor love. She is a bit under the weather too I think, and we went for what we thought was going to be a short bike ride to the pub with friends. It was 3 miles! And not just any 3 miles - it was up and down dale. Poor B, she kept going bless her. She was also up at 6 this morning, so really is exausted.

Right, better get off my bum and sort dinner out, and then I have the joyous task of ironing. Dh is away tomorrow for 2 nights, so need to get as much sleep in tonight to prepare me for being on my own with the duo!

Eddas · 10/08/2008 19:45

i'm bored.

i should be working but have done loads today, including finsihing off the ironing mountain i don't have an ironing pile anymore so have given myself a night off may just have a glass of wine in a mo

am also watching a pushchair on ebay that finishes in an hour, with my like I don't think i'll win it

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/08/2008 19:47

I'm bored too. I have lots I could be doing, including audio typing, but I can't be arsed to move

OP posts:
Eddas · 10/08/2008 19:51

lol, glad it's not just me then

hi sol, poor B. sounds like you've well and truely tired her out today. fingers crossed she sleeps well tonight and maybe a little lie in tomorrow

I have wine

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/08/2008 19:54

Poor B - she didn't even have the alcohol at the other end to look forward to

OP posts:
Eddas · 10/08/2008 20:19

27 minutes to go on ebay, how late should i leave it to bid i'm thinking 5 minutes but is that too early

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/08/2008 20:21

5 minutes is too early - leave it as late as you dare! I'd get as far as the confirm bid page in one window, and keep the item open in the other, then wait til the last possible moment to confirm. Make sure you put in your absolute maximum though, so that if anyone else has gone higher you won't wish you had.

OP posts:
elkiedee · 10/08/2008 20:23

J has a very cute pout though POTC.

Good luck with the bidding Eddas.
