Anyway, she took a long while to drop off, but all I had to do was sit there. And we gave some infant nurofen before putting her down.

FrazzledFairyFay · 22/07/2008 21:05

Blardy hell, DS is doing my head in. ~He is up EVERY night, for at least an hour, and last night it was 4, from 10:30pm to 2:30am. I cannot for the life of me work out what on earth is wrong and it is doing my head in. He goes down fine but then wakes up again and cries and cries unless we hold him, when he's generally fine, but takes ages to go back to sleep. He's awake now.

ARRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Sorry, just needed to vent. As you were

LackaDAISYcal · 22/07/2008 21:10

ouch fairyfay; having had one night of it with DD I'm still trying to recover. Is he warm enough? maybe he is waking up because he is cold?

hoping for a good night for you jammy.

DD didn't go down until 8 tonight. she was turbo-charged after tea; pasta seems to have that effect, but then she crashed immediately i put her down, after she said "nigh...."

Hugs Fairy. That would do my head in too.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 22/07/2008 21:24

OK, bedtime for jammy. Peaceful nights everyone

FrazzledFairyFay · 22/07/2008 21:34

I'm almost certain he isn't cold, if anything he's too warm.
He does seem to have wind but I've given him gripe water and infacol and there's nothing else I can do.
I've not changed his diet.
He's not hungry/thirsty
He does have a bit of a cold but he has a plug-in in his room and I suctioned his nose before bed.
He has a tooth erupting but has had Calpol and teething gel.
He is fine during the day so I'm pretty certain he isn't ill/in pain
He goes down for his nap fine and to bed fine and wakes up fine

Am I missing anything obvious. I just hope to god that it's a phase. I can't take much more of this.

That's great Daisy, I would like to do that too at some point.

Right, I'm off to bed and maybe be awol for a few days. Off to visit my friend (Lcy on here) who's baby is due in about 3 weeks! Can't wait to see her, though it is always exhausting going away with DD on my own. Plus it is a good 5 hour journey.

Hope you all have a good week and weekend. See you soon xxx

FrazzledFairyFay · 22/07/2008 22:04

He's asleep . Please send good vibes that he stays that way.

Bumper, have a lovely time with your friend.

Daisy - that sounds interesting

FrazzledFairyFay · 22/07/2008 22:05

And I'm off to bed, in case he wakes up again.

LackaDAISYcal · 22/07/2008 22:07

I've been to a few postnatal groups PoP, and there is a next steps toddler group that started in April that I've been meaning to get to but haven't for various reasons, but not sure how welcome DS would be?

I know a few of the regulars at the PN groups as well as I see them at other groups, and another mum I know is starting in September as well.

Btw, sorry for your sleep troubles FF. Have you tried wake to sleep? Don't know much about it but meant to help with regular wakings.

Anyway, night all xxx

Congratulations Natty! I didn't realise you were pg - that's lovely news. When are you due?

Fairy - that sounds horrid, you poor thing. Hope you had a better night.

Well done on the bf course Daisy.

I've had a knackering day today but it is almost dinner time here and am really looking forward to getting the boys in the bath and to bed. The tv is on and dinner is in the oven...

I went to see Mamma Mia on Monday night and Sex in the City on Tuesday night - DH and I are out on Thurs night so all in all a busy week. Loving this babysitting-on-tap thing

FrazzledFairyFay · 23/07/2008 08:47

good morning. Thanks for the vibes, DS stayed asleep until 7:30!!!! DD on the other hand was up at midnight . I was so tired that i broke my cardinal rule and let her sleep in with me - which meant she woke up at 6am as it was light in our room, but I dozed while she sung next to me, until 7.

We're off to a farm with my Mum today and then DD is going for a sleepover with my parents for 2 nights, so will just be me and DS for a couple of days which will be a bit strange.

andiem · 23/07/2008 08:47
