LOL Daisy - has DD been at your computer??

DCs all in bed and watching neighbours... and breathe...

Bumperlicious · 23/07/2008 10:33

Hi annobal, glad you are ok, hope you get a break.

Daisy DD is quite pinchy too. Thinks it's funny.

Hi fury, glad you've decided about Aus.

Right off to spend what looks like one of the nicest and warmest days of the year in a car for 5 hours! See you soon x

annobal · 23/07/2008 10:37

Safe journey Bumper

LackaDAISYcal · 23/07/2008 11:03

I have hoovered and dusted my living room ....for the first time since the end of May

safe journey bumper

annobal am of your babysitters on tap. My inlaws are only half an hour away bit the logistics of getting them here is a nightmare (everything revolves around BIL and his family) so we tend not to even bother asking them. Mind you DD is old enough to stop overnight with them now.....

Don't know what happened to my post - think it was at the same time as yours Daisy...

Fury that is so exciting! When are you coming? Do you want me to do anything? Am happy to help

Fairy, glad you had a better night - have fun at the farm and enjoy being DC-free.

annobal · 23/07/2008 12:09

Good work Daisy

HellHathNoFury · 23/07/2008 12:26

Annobal it is very likely I will need some help! But not yet - atm we are just trying to get the £££ together to afford a place out there. If we buy somewhere, it has to be house of our dreams type thing, so we are saving first. When we have more for a deposit we'll be out there like a shot. Have already been in touch with ANZ about mortgages. Looks good.....

Izzybel · 23/07/2008 12:29

Hiya

I'm knackered. Just hoovered and mopped the whole of the downstairs and DD has just gone to sleep so having a sit down for a few minutes!

Bumper, hope you have a nice time with your friend! Hope she doesn't go into labour on you!

Fairy, glad you had a better night with DS.

Annobal, life is Oz sounds great! Sounds like you're having a lovely time

Andie, hope your friend's DD is good for you!

Natty, that's so lovely for you and your friend! When are you due? I bet it will be great to have someone to discuss pregnancy and babies with. When I was pg I didn't know anybody. None of my friends were having/had babies and it would have been great to have someone to talk to, especially as I spent the whole time panicking! The people who I know now with babies the same age as DD are people that I have met at baby groups.

Hi everyone else!

LackaDAISYcal · 23/07/2008 15:25

sounds very productive izzy.

natty congrats to your friend as well. My friend had her wee one six months after DD was born so we have had a lovely time being off together. she is a teacher and is going back to work after the hols though so we won't see as much of each other.

No wonder DD has been miserable, we have a top and bottom tooth coming in at the same time!

Saw the MW this morning...all well in the daisy bump

DH and I have a real mystery going on. When we were tidying up our back office, we came across a black bin bag full of baby toys. Neither of us have any idea how they got there or where they came from. the only thing we can think is that our neighbour brought them over the day of DDs party (she has a 2yo granddaughter and has given us some stuff before), but she is away at the minute so I can't even ask her. Lots of little fisher price cubey things that DD absolutely adores though, so she is very happy.

We had a very sociable day today. I was rather weepy after a big row with DH so we didn't get out until nearly 11, but we saw lots of people we know and like at the children's centre and had a packed lunch there, then saw some others in the park on the way into town, so stopped for half an hour there. Went shopping and saw another mum & baby we know, and got our passport photos done (I look ghastly but jamlet looks good), and I have done some chores while she napped when we got back. I am now feeling much better

andiem · 23/07/2008 16:16

hi jammy glad you had a good day after rowing with dh

we had a lovely time at wisley and now ds2 is asleep and the other 2 are doing clay modelling in the garden

sounds exciting going to aus fury I have always fancied living abroad for a bit but dh is firmly tied to the uk as his business is here

have uploaded some pics of the flat onto my profile when it was empty I haven't seen it with the furniture in yet as I had to come home on sunday so ds1 could go to school I will see it all this weekend

LackaDAISYcal · 23/07/2008 17:00

NattyPlusTwo · 23/07/2008 21:42

good evening ladies!
well it was so stupidly hot today, and to make things worse, been throwing up all day.
bloody morning sickness! all day flaming sickness more like!
however on a good note.. my boobs are bigger!
how is everyone this fine evening?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/07/2008 21:55

Evening Natty. Sorry about MS.

I'm hot and sticky. And tired after reading and writing about risks from radioactive waste for 2 hours. And feeling slighty sick after some very rich homemade gooseberry fool.

LackaDAISYcal · 23/07/2008 21:58

tired

one day down, only another 40 to go till schools go back

sorry about the ms natty, it truly sucks.

How are things with DH? have you had any more news on what they are going to do with him/what is actually wrong with him?

OP posts:
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/07/2008 22:01

You remind me of an ex work colleague of mine Daisy. I saw him on the bus on a Friday and the conversation went

Him: How are you?
Me: All the better for it being Friday!
Him: (sounding like Eeyore) Yes, one day closer to Monday.

OK, I'm too tired for this. Off to bed.

justbeme · 23/07/2008 22:04

Hi all
Sorry to hear about the sickness Natty.
Thats the bit of pregnancy that I hate!!

Andiem - you're flat looks lovely - especially the balcony!!

Hows the dog situation Izzy? did you speak to your neighbour about "sharing"?

Jammy - sounds like you're not having such a good time of it at the moment - MEN, they just live on a different planet don't they??

Well, I went back to work on tues - very boring - 1500 odd emails waiting for me!!

NattyPlusTwo · 23/07/2008 22:05

right now, maybe you lot can settle an arguement for me.
i currently carry my daughter in a sling for short periods of time when my son asks to have a sit in the pushchair if he is tired. it is rarely for more than an hour at a time, unless he falls asleep then it can be 2.
i was told by someone yesterday that i was being selfish and irrsponsible to carry her as it could hurt my unborn baby.
now my feeling on it is that the baby is as small as a grain of rice, and the lowest point of my daughters weight sits around the bottom of my ribs.
that leaves about 2 inches between baby and my bean... so therefore why would it harm the baby any more than the usual carrying, lifting and other day to day things we do as mothers?
fair enough when i start showing.. but now?
thoughts ladies?

LackaDAISYcal · 23/07/2008 22:06

I'm not that bad jammy, honest

hey jbm...how was it? are you glad to be back, or is that a very stupid question?
