Natty for you. Hope you got some rest last night and that you can take is easy over the next few days at least. Is DH with you? Hugs to you both.

Izzybel · 25/07/2008 07:02

Oh Natty, I'm so sorry .

It's such an awful thing to go through.

Sorry that they were horrible at the hospital. Sometimes they can seem so matter of fact about it and it's awful

Hope you are able to get some rest. ((((hugs)))) to you and your DH. Take care xx

LittleMissNorty · 25/07/2008 07:22

Natty I am so very very sorry to hear your news.

You must be devastated. If there is anything I can do let me know.

NattyThomasAndEllen · 25/07/2008 10:10

i was up all night, kept having dreams about living next door to my friend (also pregnant due 2 days b4 i was) and having to watch her baby growing up knowing i should have one the same age. it was awful, i kept waking up in tears. ended up watch re runs of sex and the city

no i have no support network unfortunatly, but i will be ok, i recovered from a tramatic birth with a one year old and a newborn without any help,(apart from amazing DH of course) so i'll be fine!
things dont seem quite so bad today, more in perspective. at least it was early and i didnt have to go through labour or anything, i have heard some awful stories.

children are being good, they were both superstars at the hospital sitting nicely and waiting for three hours with me.

makes you apprciate what you've got though doesnt it

andiem · 25/07/2008 12:42

sorry to see your news natty take care of yourself

Izzybel · 25/07/2008 14:45

Oh Natty I wished I was nearer then I could take your DCs for a bit. Although having them near will probably help a bit.

It's just so unfair!

justbeme · 25/07/2008 18:49

Natty - sorry to hear - I know how you feel - all you're hopes come crashing down don't they??

L is better but off her food - she keeps signing "milk" and being very pleased with herself when I give it to her. So much for weaning her off soon!! It must be a bug like Daisy as I had it too.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/07/2008 20:05

Evening all.

Natty, hope you've had some rest today and are OK?

Jamlet was clingy and a bit hot all afternoon, and held her hands up to her head a few times, so I checked her temperature and it was up. So maybe earache? She perked up and temp started coming down a but after some nurofen though, so fingers crossed for a good night.

LittleMissNorty · 25/07/2008 20:25

Oh Jammy, hope she's OK....its been very hot here today...

Dd had a fall at nursery today and bumped her head....she was fine but they rung me to let me know....and it played on my mind all day.....I knew they would ring if they needed me....I would've prefered not to know until she was collected IYKWIM....but they have to do their job.

WHERE IS MY CHINESE? I'M STARVING ....40 minutes they said, and that was aaaaaggggeeeesss ago

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/07/2008 20:31

Poor DD, and porr you Norty. And hope yur chinese comes soon, if not before.

foxythesnowfox · 25/07/2008 21:08

Oh Natty I'm so sorry

But you know what? I think you are pretty amazing, looking at what you've got and appreciating it. With all that you have gone through and that is going on, there's still a wee glimmer of positivity, which in a lesser person would have been long-gone.

{{{{{{{hugs for you}}}}}}}}

FrazzledFairyFay · 25/07/2008 21:21

for you Natty. Big hugs. We're all here if you need to talk at anytime

FrazzledFairyFay · 25/07/2008 21:32

Tonight, I let DS stand next to the bath on his sister's portable plastic step as he likes putting his hand in the running water. The next thing I knew, he'd thrown himself into the bath head-first and fully clothed! He was absolutely fine, apart from being a bit shocked. Why do they inisist on scaring us at every opportunity?

LittleMissNorty · 25/07/2008 21:38

Blimey Fairy .....glad he's ok....my DD has taken to standing up in the bath, wandering around it and touching everything in sight .....now I'm wondering if it was such a good idea to buy a whirlpool bath with 14 little holes around the inside

My chinese was delish....lets hope it stays there!

foxythesnowfox · 25/07/2008 21:39

I found DD climbing on boxes to get on the piano. DD2 that is.

Oh fuck. I have a climber. I haven't had a climber before.

Hey FF, how are the nights? Have you tried Ashton and Parsons powders? Kind of like teething granules, they are said to have a settling effect.

NattyThomasAndEllen · 25/07/2008 21:43

lol fairy, ellen has done that to me a fair few times.
had ellens ears peiced, and spent a massive amount on money to cheer myself up today (all on the kiddies of course!)
had a wonderful day, children have been angels, i think they sense mummy is a little sad today
thank you daisy i suppose i am quite an upbeat person!
we have decided to try again, and i wont be doing anything this time except putting my feet up! i do have to confess i might have been moving furniture a few days ago.. i forgot i was pregnant, how awful is that

anyways, lesson learnt, and will be handing the pinny over to DH!

how is everyone today, sorry to hear all the sick babies, hope you all pick up soon xx

FrazzledFairyFay · 25/07/2008 21:46

, DS has slept through the last two nights after over a month of awful sleep. It concided with me taking him out of his 1 tog sleeping bag and putting him to bed in just babygro, with a blanket in the cot - I'm embarrassed to say that I think he was probably too hot . Two teeth have poked through as well in the past week though, so it could also be that

FrazzledFairyFay · 25/07/2008 21:48

Natty, you deserve a treat after a horrible time. Don't feel bad about moving things, it probably had nothing to do with it - although it's a good reason to sit and be waited on hand and foot next time

LittleMissNorty · 25/07/2008 21:48

fingers crossed it lasts Fairy.

I'm still using a 1 tog bag....but just with a vest.....the monitor says its 27 degrees up there atm....both windows wide open...
