Aww bless him - I do this with DP. Get all moody cos he happened to do something that conincided with something I said. lol

Don't mind a BH except roads might be a bit jampacked. Friday isn't a big deal to me although its DP's first night back so prob couldn't come till later. (1/2ish at earliest)

LuckySalem · 12/08/2008 21:29

MM - they all have quite a bit of sugar in them so she only gets 1 every other day and once teeth appear i'm cutting it even more.

simpson · 12/08/2008 21:35

Madmoouse - i have been looking for sugar free rusks too let me know if you have any luck

Luckysalem - sorry last night was so pants.

DD is starting to up her food again. She ate a whole ella's kitchen pouch for tea. But am not giving her any lunch so think she is ok. Also have brought her tea forward to 4.30pm so at 6pm in her room she has 5/6 ozs before bed.

With the balloons we used to tie them loosely with ribbon to DS's feet and watch him kick. He soon learnt if he kicked they moved. Going to try the same thing with DD.

simpson · 12/08/2008 22:06

Lucky - my DS plays outside with the little boy from next door who is 5 and his front teeth are all rotten I was in the garden the other day and in a 10 minute period he had a chocolate mousse with whipped cream & sprinkles on top, 2 fruit shoots, pack of haribos, can of red bull, 2 ice pops. I kid you not Every time he went in to get something he bought out one for my DS & I felt a right cruel mummy saying he is not allowed!!

He also had his tea outside yesterday and it was a pot noodle

LuckySalem · 12/08/2008 22:08

Poor kid. I hope they change their ways by the time the new teeth come in.

simpson · 12/08/2008 22:14

Its sad because according to his mum he is starting to get picked on at school.

He played in DS's bedroom yesterday and I cooked all 3 of us lunch we had Irish stew and he loved it. So it just shows he will eat healthily just not getting right food.

He has a 9mth old sister who has a rusk with milk twice a day.

Sad really...

LuckySalem · 12/08/2008 22:15

Poor kids - I can't cook but I can make DD healthy(ish) meals why can't she? Grrr

simpson · 12/08/2008 22:21

Its an odd set up next door. Its the kids great gran & grand dad's house (council) they are in their 70's but the mum lives some where else but is around every day. The boy does not have a place that is his own and sleeps where he falls ie sofa, floor, gran's bed etc.

I believe very strongly that each child needs their own space even if its a bed if they share a room.

Have heard the baby awake in the garden at midnight in the past and I don't mean them trying to get her to sleep walking around etc.

But I have to say he is the sweetest little boy who plays with my DS really nicely despite DS only being nearly 3.

simpson · 12/08/2008 22:23

Forgot to say I am a crap cook too but really make an effort for Dcs just have to do the same for myself LOL

LuckySalem · 12/08/2008 22:25

Simpson - I know exactly what you mean. My stomach gets all sorts of crap but DD's food is gorgeous.

Right i'm off to bed in hope I can get more sleep than last night.

LuckySalem · 12/08/2008 22:55

Ladies - Is it just me or do we seem to have lost a lot of the "originals"?

Just wondering....

Housemum · 13/08/2008 00:29

It does seem to have tailed off to just a few - we should look back on an old AN thread to see who was there - expect a lot of people are back at work - barristermum posts occasionally. Haven't seen awen on here for a while.

LuckySalem · 13/08/2008 07:51

I've seen Awen on MN but not on the thread.

lilyloo · 13/08/2008 08:31

Morning all
Hope you all got better sleep!

I know what yopu mean about rusks we just have them in for a treat! DD wouldn't entertain rice cakes but if i put cream cheese on she will so maybe another idea!

Yeah Lucky quite a few back at work though i think. I remember when i was at work pg i could never keep up with you so only posted every now and then.

Awen popped onto my bf thread a month ago think her lo is doing ok he was still bf and co sleeping!

Simpson how did the packing go ?

Agree with the balloons we still have the helium one from her christening and she has played with it for hours!

Well not sure what doing today might be taking dd's off to play area this aft with my sis before ds comes back tonight! As it's a blardy fortune taking two dc's in them places!

These rusks are sweetened with grape juice. Any good? at Boots

simpson · 13/08/2008 10:27

Hi all

Am knackered!! DD slept till 5am fed her then she sang LOUDLY for over an hour before sleeping again. When she was asleep I couldn't sleep myself as mentally writing lists for packing, have so much to remember.

I have packed my stuff and most of DD's just need to do DS then all the extras ie formula milk, jars etc. Am debating not taking the sterilizer at all and using dishwasher.

Ds has just been dropped off back home. Within minutes he had done a massive poo in pants while DD was busy filling her nappy for the second time. Welcome to the life of a mum of two big time

DD keeps rolling over onto tummy I cannot wait till she can roll herself back, I spend most of my time flipping her over...

LaT - Cheers for those rusks, probably going to Boots today as I haven't gt enough Little Swimmers so will check them out.

LaTrucha · 13/08/2008 11:04

While you're there, get some sweetcorn rings. DD loves them!

simpson · 13/08/2008 11:10

LaT - DD not keen on them at all but Ds still eats them. He also likes the carrot flavoured big wotsit thingies I have also still got DD on medium flow teats so need to get fast ones.

rockdoctor · 13/08/2008 11:54

Hi everyone

Busy week here and dd not sleeping too well but wanted to pop in and say hi. Have nearly gone through a packet of rusks here as dd loves them but I'm determined not to buy anymore. This packet was bought by dh coz I asked him to get her some biscuits for gumming - we found some great ones when we were on holiday ("my first biscuits" or something similar), made by purina I think, but haven't seen them in the shops here.

Anyone else freezing today? I've just put the heater on in dd's room in the hope it will encourage her to sleep.

By the way, if there's any plans for a northern meet up then maybe count me in. I'm based in the SE but mum and dad are near Preston and we're spending a bit of time up there while I'm not working.

simpson · 13/08/2008 15:30

Quiet here today??!

Am finding it hard going trying to entertain 2 little ones in pants weather and nothing to do. All our RL friends seem to be away ATM.

It would not be so hard if DH was here and DD not helping by wingeing ALL the time. She is off again and has slept and been fed so neither of those....Grrrr....

simpson · 13/08/2008 15:37

Ok so she had just filled her nappy and wanted it changed

betterhalf · 13/08/2008 16:02

Got given a new Red Health book by HV today as I'd managed to lose the last one .

Toby weighing in at 18 lbs and 13 oz now. Weight gain definately slowing down but I imagine it's because he's on the go non stop! Dreading when he gets to the crawling stage. I'm going to be frazzled.

Simpson I feel your pain . Weather rubbish and it's horrible being stuck in. I haven't even got the car as DH has it in Europe so other than walks out, I'm house bound.

lilyloo · 13/08/2008 16:04

LOL Simpson

Rockdoctor a Preston meet up could be good!
Not sure if Kelix drives ? Kelix ?
Also Isabellas is Preston too far for you ?

Well just back from play area and dd2 loved it We had lunch there too! Am just waiting for sil to drop ds off then back to the constant bickering i guess

Been quite nice here today i have even had my washing on line all day

OP posts:
simpson · 13/08/2008 17:36

Lilyloo - hope the bickering hasn't started??!!

I will be glad to get Dcs down to bed today. DD is a right little grump late afternoon/early evening now. Don't know what causes it just fed up i guess but is no easier to deal with when she is screaming and I am trying to get Ds's tea ready. She just wants to be held ALL the time which I suspect goes back to when she was in pain & constipated as we had to hold her all the time then.

Betterhalf - I don't drive so if weather is pants am kind of stuck indoors. I will be glad when term time starts again!!!
