Well done on everyone getting pics on their profile I really must sort some out here

Bluebell - glad you are back and glad christening went well and really hopes the counciling works for you.Your MIL sounds a piece of work. Mine is bad too and I could imagine my MIL in same situation as yours but instead of inviting people she would bad mouth me to them and say it was my fault they weren't invited. dreading Ireland TBH.

I don't have to do anything for DD's christening as its being done in Ireland except send out invites. SIL is sorting stuff out. Just have to do the fun stuff like gets clothes etc

lilyloo · 29/07/2008 20:17

Simpson now that sounds ideal
when is it ?

The priest was fab, he has chrsitened, confirmed, married me and also buried my dad and has now christened my dd, it was fabulous!!!!

simpson · 29/07/2008 20:27

Christening is on 6th sept. She will be wearing family christening gown and have got a lovely dress from next for her to wear afterwards. Are going to MIL's house after the church. Have got both SIL's as God mothers, (not worth just asking one world war 3 would break out) and my oldest bro as god father.

When is yours Lilyloo?

madmouse · 29/07/2008 20:38

Lovely pics indeed ginge you must be proud of your brood.

Nathan has a big sponge in the shape of a baby that he can lie on so his head is out of the water and I can wash him handsfree. Only cost £9 or so. My friend swears by them and I can see why. Borrowed a proper bath seat once, but you have to put so much water in the bath for such a small baby before he gets properly wet!

Just back from weight watchers. I nearly did not go thinking I had put on at least 2lb, but lost half an lb, so that is 5lb in three weeks, which is slow for me but still good. Rescued by the bf though, really eaten far too much chocolate and stuff. Think i am getting a wee bit bored sometimes being a mummy, especially in a fairly new town. Will keep going.

How about this Birmingham meetup then. Amani or Mixed Mama at least one of you expressed an interest. And lucky? We can book it two weeks ahead so you can get a really cheap train ticket. Comon gals, I want to see some faces

madmouse · 29/07/2008 20:41

hi madmouse, I will definitely come to the bham meet up, if anyone fancies it we could go to the sealife centre maybe.. I have a few BOGOF vouchers so entry would only be £7 each.. took Ruby today and she absolutley loved it!!!!

justkeepswimming- there are some pics on facebook of MIL, I will make a caption, but beware of commenting she is facebooker too, there is no getting away!! She always rings me if I put unusual captions on there, I can really wind her up- a while ago I put 'rebecca has had some life changing news today'... it was hilarious apparently she rang my sil and was debating what it could have been for a whole week before she came out asked me.. ! God that woman

MM - I might be able to come. I'm in Aberystwyth but there's a direct train. When were you thinking. Don't know if I missed something but please keep me posted.

simpson · 29/07/2008 21:30

lilyloo - wasn't sure if your Lo's christening was this weekend or the next. Cooking for 50 you are brave I am so crap I couldn't even cook for 5

I am already trying to organise Ds's 3rd birthday and thats not till 13th sept as cooking is not my strong point! Any ideas would be gratefully received!! ATM thinking of pizza, salad & fruit salad (even I can manage this!) Does this sound ok?

Also meet up for all the Lo's birthdays is a fab idea. I am in London.

madmouse · 29/07/2008 21:48

cool let's wait for luckysalem and then set a date for a meetup!

LuckySalem · 29/07/2008 21:57

Hello all

Lovely pictures - I'd upload some more but it won't let me There are loads on facebook though if you all want to have a look? lol

Meet - up - Yeh i'm in! Will have to think of an excuse for DP though. However, if dog is still with us then (or we have another one) it maybe a little more tricky unless you all wanna meet up for a picnic somewhere?

I'm Luckysalem - Wrexham, North Wales.

I'm really sorry but can't remember everything else that was written....

Oh Ruby's christening pics I've seen! They're lovely too.

LuckySalem · 29/07/2008 21:58

Lol MM - Cross posts!!

nicky6 · 30/07/2008 09:21

hi alll just a quickie to say HI

madmouse · 30/07/2008 10:40

Hi Nicky!

Lucky, bit concerned that you have to think of an excuse for dp . I do not mind your dog, on the contrary, but Birmingham City Centre is not very dog friendly. Can't even think of a proper dog friendly park within walking distance of the station.

Any other ladies any ideas?

I am on holiday from 15-22 August and there ws someone who could not do Fridays. Is next week Thursday any good for anyone? Or the MonTueWed after?
