Hiya Fury. Did DS have a good birthday?

foxythesnowfox · 26/06/2008 20:27

Daisy move spices and fill with plastic pots! I have a selection of hairbands around the drawer handles.

Hey Fury! Its nice to see you. I've missed you. Are you feeling a bit better then?

Have we agreed the 21st? Going once, going twice ....

Bumper, DP is due back at the end of that week, so I'm going to have to check his dates. If it goes tits up, Fairy has said she can put someone up. Always good to have a plan B. I'd love to have you here anyway, but two problems with that a) space, and b) how the hell would I explain our friendship?! Don't worry though, I think it will be OK.

HellHathNoFury · 26/06/2008 20:28

Jammy, I am ok...coping. My GP told me that I was setting too high expectations for myself - that having a young baby, working full time, applying for permy jobs, helping DH with getting a new job, selling the car and redecorating the house and garden was probably a leeettttllleee too much. Because whilst doing all these things...which is ok... I insist upon having a spotless house and everything put away and I dust twice a week and hoover 3 times a week and insist on cooking a full meal every night and even making all of DH's sandwich fillers and making pack breakfasts and lunches every day etc myself, and she said I was doing too much, and to take a week off work and not do anything. Which I did!

lackaDAISYcal · 26/06/2008 20:29

ha, that's only the edited highlights of my day

hey fury....are you allright? we were getting a bit concerned about you

mhc, annobal pointed me on the direction of barefoot botanicals SOS cream. i know you like the more natural approach so it's worth a try. It's blooming expensive, but a little goes a long way. they will send you some free samples if you email them in advance. It helps keep things at bay with DD, but isn't too great for a serious outbreak I've found.

HellHathNoFury · 26/06/2008 20:31

DS had a fab birthday! He was very spoilt. And I got very very very drunk indeed, and did naughty things.

LittleMissNorty · 26/06/2008 20:31

how naughty?

HellHathNoFury · 26/06/2008 20:33

I recommend this for babies with skin conditions... worked wonders for us.

foxythesnowfox · 26/06/2008 20:33

MHC - cut up some old tights to make a bag and fill with oats. Tie around the bath taps so water pours through when running the bath, then use it as a sponge for washing. Should help the irritation. Good for chicken pox too.

Daisy - I had this when I went from 1 to 2. But ONLY then. It was just a phase (that I went through!) I would regularly cry at tea-time/end of day.

HellHathNoFury · 26/06/2008 20:34

I stabbed noddy. And took my trousers off to prove I didn't have a penis.

foxythesnowfox · 26/06/2008 20:35

Did you get your "ping-ping" out Fury?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/06/2008 20:36

Sounds interesting Fury!

HellHathNoFury · 26/06/2008 20:36

nahh, only my drawers, but at least they were decent ones, and clean lol

LittleMissNorty · 26/06/2008 20:36

Oh foxy....that makes me look forward to having the LO ....is it a big nightmare going from 1 to 2?

lackaDAISYcal · 26/06/2008 20:38

cross posts fury.....i can see why all of that would wear you down. i hope you can take things easy and outsource some stuff to give you an easier time of things.

foxy, why not just come clean with DP?...tell him bumper is your internet chatroom stalker

i'm liking the hairbands idea, although knowing my crafty DD she'd figure it out all too soon! earleir, when DH called, she came sidling over to the sofa asking for a cuddle. So i picked her up onto my lap where she promptly ignored me and tried to grab the phone....cuddle, my arse the crafty minx!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/06/2008 20:39

The jamlet does that all the time Daisy. If she sees the tv remote or the phone on the sofa or table she'll come over to be picked up for a cuddle and then lunge!

foxythesnowfox · 26/06/2008 20:40

bollocks ...err ...

sorry Norty!

It is just a phase! I promise!

HellHathNoFury · 26/06/2008 20:40

But... the good news is (sorry if I am boring), but while I was on my MN sabattical I managed to buy a new car, secure a permy job, get a pay review in 6 months and DH has been offered an incentive to stay at his job, so a lot of my worries are gone!

LittleMissNorty · 26/06/2008 20:41

that lasts for how long?

LittleMissNorty · 26/06/2008 20:41

That's good news Fury. Same job you're currently doing?

lackaDAISYcal · 26/06/2008 20:42

until you have No3 Norty

LittleMissNorty · 26/06/2008 20:44

Oh no - tubes will be tied during the CS if I get my way!!

lackaDAISYcal · 26/06/2008 20:45

missed that fury........great news on the job/car/pay review/DH's job.

so when do you start TTC?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/06/2008 20:45

Sounds good Fury

HellHathNoFury · 26/06/2008 20:48

What is TTC?

Yes exactly the same role, just less money but at least I get holiday pay etc now.

foxythesnowfox · 26/06/2008 20:50

when you loop the hairbands put a twist in them, or the they are easily opened.

I have mentioned MN to him in passing, thinking he'd ask 'what the hell's that?' but he didn't. Now I'll have to say "I've been on an internet forum for over a year, have made firm friends following a series of meet-ups. And some of have been round here too."

Thing is he knows I have Annobals breadmaker and microwave, but still doesn't know how we met!

I think it says a hell of a lot about our relationship, I mean, what on earth does he think I'm doing on the PC?!
