Holiday pay, sick pay etc are worth having I reckon.

Bah, DH still at work, so we won't be eating until 10 at this rate I reckon

foxythesnowfox · 26/06/2008 20:52

Bloody well done Fury So is your permy job in the same place?

Trying to conceive Fury.

Unless that was one of the 'naughty' things you did the other night?

LittleMissNorty · 26/06/2008 20:52

trying to conceive number 2.......are the mat leave T&Cs good there Fury?

Do you know if you work for Ford's in Dagenham, you get 52 weeks mat leave on full pay

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/06/2008 20:53

It could just be that he is very trusting of you Foxy?

LittleMissNorty · 26/06/2008 20:53

Blimey Jammy....couldn't wait that long....can you do a Pizza Hut delivery? What does your DH do that keeps him there so late?

lackaDAISYcal · 26/06/2008 20:55

I could never not mention MN to DH......although him being away helps loads with the amount of time I can MN...and then he works at weekends too. Prior to finding MN I'd have complained about that, but it gives me an excuse!

Is it too late to order in chinese?

HellHathNoFury · 26/06/2008 20:55

lol not TTC just yet then ;)

Yes Foxy - smooth switchover, I told them I was interested, we negotiated salary, they are now sorting the paperwork. I 'start' in the same job, same pc etc on July 3rd.
I am not sure about the mat benefits... same as everywhere else probably. The pension is shit so I wouldn't expect special treatment. But I do get 25 days holiday.

foxythesnowfox · 26/06/2008 20:55

true, Jammy. If he wasn't he'd be checking his bank statement to see what I've spent

Talking of which, had a great shop today. Went to buy a maxi-dress, came away with 3 wrap dresses instead, BUT remembered I had a Debenhams gift card left over from Valentines day, so cost very little and I bought some new pumps with a M&S gift card they sent me as compo for being crap at Christmas. lovely!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/06/2008 20:56

Thankfully i had cake! Don't tell DH! He works for a software place that happens to do work for Microsoft. So every now and then when they launch a new piece of software (used internally by MS not anything fancy that you'll see in the shops) some of the team go over to Seattle and others work really late here to fit in with the timings over on the American West coast. This time it's his turn to work late.

lackaDAISYcal · 26/06/2008 20:57

lol norty....there has to be some incentive for moving to Dagenham

convo is going too fast tonight...I can't keep up!

sorry for your missing in action pizza Jammy.....have some of my chinese

HellHathNoFury · 26/06/2008 20:57

Is anyone elses DC in size 2 clothes? Or is DS just a monolith child?

justRia · 26/06/2008 20:57

Hi fury, gladyou've got things sorted out a bit.

I'm knackered. DH has gone to the shop for some beer as I need a pick me up.

DS2 has been adorable playing with Dniece tonight. At one point when the big kids left him he asid "I'm ok but I'm all on my lone". Baggins was good too. he was a little poppet all afternoon too, playing happily by himself in his playpen while I did the ironing. DS1 was trying too hard to be as cool as his big cousin

but it has been nice. DM dropped the trifle so I had to slum it with strawberries, meringue & cream

Same with us Daisy!

No, not too late. You do know Banana Fritters are compulsory if you are PG? Doesn't matter if you don't like them either. You HAVE to have them.

LittleMissNorty · 26/06/2008 20:58

Oh sounds interesting

Well done on the job Fury ....in the NHS we get 33 days holiday

LittleMissNorty · 26/06/2008 21:01

Blimey I'm trying to upload pics to Snapfish and its taking aaaggggeeessss....they really are crap!

HellHathNoFury · 26/06/2008 21:01

justRia · 26/06/2008 21:01

Your shopping spreee sounds good Foxy.

DH just said he'll be a while yet, so I should go ahead and eat. Trouble is I don't fancy cooking now And as am on my own can't go out to get something from the chinese, so is it too sad to ring for delivery even though it's about 1.5 minute walk away??

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/06/2008 21:02

Bugger, can't even do that as no cash!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/06/2008 21:03
HellHathNoFury · 26/06/2008 21:04

Does anyone have a Makro card? Can you have me as an additional cardholder?
Will pay...5 dolla love you long time for Makro cards

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/06/2008 21:07

Well done on the job fury, it sounds as if you are feeling a bit better. Glad you had a good week off. Hope it all goes well x

As for the age 2 clothes...blimey! My ds is still mostly in 9-12 months, some 12-18 trousers because of the big fat nappies! What are you feeding that boy?!

My dp knows all about my MN habit, he is quite ok with it, mainly because he knows it keeps me from going insane with boredom! He goes on football forums, so he couldn't really say anything anyway!

Good shopping foxy, the Debs sales are ace! I am going to have a bit of a splurge once the money for the pushchairs has cleared into my bank account. The John Lewis sale starts Saturday, so I feel a trip there coming on!

My dp has just got back from playing golf, so I think I'm going to be chucked off here in a min. Goodnight everyone if I don't come back!

lackaDAISYcal · 26/06/2008 21:07

I have a costco card

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/06/2008 21:09

I have a Makro card fury, but it is from my old job, so not even sure if it is valid still! I think we might go to our local one next week and see if it still works, if it does you can borrow it!

HellHathNoFury · 26/06/2008 21:09

Hmm well it depends where we shop. But most places he is in size 2. And size 4 shoes but from what I have read that's on the small side?

What am I feeding him! Good lord...tonight (bearing in mind he had 3 x 2 course meals at nursery) he had pumpkin risotto, a whole banana, a yoghurt, a biscuit, then picked at bits of cheese and chopped tomatoes. Then milk. He can eat for England.
